Score from 115 reviews Very good
My husband and I (27 & 25) would absolutely stay again. The husband and wife owners were so helpful, spoke English very well, sent us to the best authentic Italian restaurant which walking distance and extremely affordable! The bus stop is just down the street and takes you to straight to amalfi. Get the breakfast! They have a great variety of food for breaky such as fresh fruit, eggs, omelettes, sweet treats and Theresa makes great coffee. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. It's quiet which is perfect of you're a light sleeper! We spent most our time down by the water and this was a perfect spot for us to sleep and have breaky with the restaurant for dinner so close.
We had a lovely room with a private terrace with a view of the coast. The staff were helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. Lots of choice. The cook was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Some fabulous restaurants only a short walk away.
The property is a 10-15 minute walk from town so this might be a negative to those who are not travelling with a car. We enjoyed the walk after dinner.
Breakfast served by signora Theresa.
The terrace in reality was a balcony of 2,5 square meters. You could see the sea but view to the coast was limited because of walls of neigbouring houses and a roof below the balcony. No privacy on the balcony due to children from the neighbouring house peeking out of a window frequently. House lies in the middle of a group of houses with no possibility to sit outside / no garden. Noise in the hallway during night hours.
I loved the hospitality and friendliness of the hostess Donna Fausta and her team. The villa is very charming, the breakfast absolutely delicious and homemade (the best we had in Italy), plus Donna was very kind and refunded us a night's accommodation when we had to leave a day early due to time restraints. I would recommend
There was nothing that I didn't like about the villa itself! However best to bear in mind that Agerola is very quiet at night and quite far up the mountain but if you have a car or scooter isn't a problem!
Room with terrace we had was lovly, separate entrance, spacious, stylish, lovly view. Run by family and they make u feel like u at home. Breakfast is very good and plenty of choice.
Location is not to everyone's taste. We got lost few times as it's in small residential road, kind if hidden. Takes 30 min to go down the hill if u like to get anywhere. We had car but was bit of a challenge. This is only negative moment. But for people who just want to relax and have walks around it's perfect. Village is small but nice
Location, breakfast, view, personnel.
Rooms, comfort, view, staff
The location is far and uphill from the main sights, although that gives you one of the best views of Amalfi
Everything about Villa Donna Fausta. Best of all the host! We had our own suite which overlooked the Amalfi Coast from our own terrace. What a location to stay at. Picture postcard!!
Italian drivers on the small roads!
The room, the views, the hostess, and the breakfast! Wonderful value for the money, can't wait to come back to this lovely place!!
If you're not willing to drive a bit (30+ min each way) to get to the actual Coast, then maybe this is not the best option. BUT if you don't mind then this is the perfect place for you!! I definitely didn't like the fact that we had to leave this wonderful place!
Villa Donna Fausta was a great place for us to explore the Amalfi coast. It was great vacation and Donna Fausta herself - the greatest host.
Donna Fausta herself is a very charming hostess like no others. The scenery from the rear balconies are breathtaking. Great breakfast. Tastefully decorated. Right price. Highly recommanded.
Wish our stay was longer
Wonderful hostess! She was very kind and helpful, she helped us set up transportation to the coast, recommended an incredible restaurant for dinner, which was our favorite meal the entire time that we were in Italy! The view from our balcony was amazing and the breakfast in the morning was unsurpassed with a lemon cake that had been baked that morning!
The facilities were a bit out dated, but everything else was fantastic!
Brilliant stay, thank you,
Incredible Staff went out of their way to make our stay extra pleasant.
in our first room on the ground floor, you could hear guests leave in the morning.
We stayed for five nights and loved every second of it. The view is amazing aswell as the enviroment and the staff. It is a wonderfull house and the room is fresh and feels a little bit royal. The breakfast was tastefull and you had a lot to chose from. If you are going to the Amalficost we strongly recommend you to stay att Villa Donna Faustas.
View from rooms Friendly Service Very Homely Feel nicely decorated
The town Agerola has a very different feel to the rest of the amalfi coast. hardly any tourists. Need transport to get anywhere and taxis are very expensive.
A very good location with a beautiful view from the balcony, silence (just the voice of a rooster in the neighbourhood, announcing another beautiful day on costiera) perfect breakfast, clean and cosy rooms. Above all, the nice smiling faces of donna Fausta and signora Theresa, the time spent for breakfast with signora Theresa and the best lemon cake you can have, made by her. Everything so Italian...
- increadable 700m above the sea view - service - frendly treatment
Donna Fausta, the owner, gave us a very warm welcome and made sure that we had everything you can think of. The room with balcony had a great view and very elegant furniture. The breakfast was great, especially the fresh orange juice. We stayed 9 days, and Donna Fausta gave us every day valuable tips for our trips around the Amalfi coast and Capri. For guests looking for familiar atmosphere and original Italian hospitality, this is the place to go!
Donna Fausta was great, very kind and nice. Great views from the room.
Little bit far from the typical towns.
