Pleasant room, good value
A little remote, no bar
We were looking for exactly this type of accommodation. At first look, we found what we were looking for.Cozy environment, beautiful room with private garden, cleanliness, good breakfast, excellent location, good connections to the Centre and total relaxation from the bustle of the big city. Special thanks to the staff of the hotel. High professionalism, communication skills, and most importantly they are very kind-hearted people. If I come back to Roma, I choose Villa Duse again.
intimate atmosphere, excellent service
hard to find
Gorgeous area of Rome, away from the hustle. Easy enough to get to once you figure out the trams! Lovely staff, excellent food and one of the nicest rooms we stayed in - loved our private garden!
The staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. I definitely recommend it!
We loved everything about this place! The staff are so friendly and helpful and although the location may not suit some people, it was perfect for us as it was a peaceful haven at the end of a hectic day! A truly memorable visit to Rome.
Comfortable bed, pillow and very quiet. It was a little far from the center, but the bus, metro and tram were only 8 blocks from hotel. The staff was very helpful and you can buy your tickets for any transportation at the hotel, which was very nice. They called our taxi as well to the train station. We like being away in a quiet place, cute little ice cream, bakery and restaurant. We would have never seen the residential part of Rome with the Ma & Pa business. It was really refreshing and very fun. Ice cream is fabulous! Breakfast was great!
The staff were fantastic, they really couldn't have been more helpful. We organised a surprise 60th birthday celebration and the staff helped emensly finding a restaurant to go to and couldn't have been more lovely. Breakfast was excellent, rooms lovely and we have no doubts that this would be where we'd want to stay again the next time we're in Rome.
Only very small disappointment/surprise was they didn't have a functioning iron and ironing board.
lovely quiet location, comfortable rooms close to local ammeties
small cosy hotel friendly staff
location a bit far from center not many services offered
Beautiful hotel. Quiet location and the staff were extraordinary. It was a bit far to travel into Rome itself, but well worth it. Great breakfast too.
Nothing ! It was a great stay.
The service was excellent. I was was ill the first day of my stay and the staff went to the pharmacy to get medication and even offered to call in a doctor. Breakfast was great and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet so if ur looking to relax after the many tours then this place is for you.
An amazing hotel, lovely quiet street and excellent staff. Great area to stay in.
Nothing - some might think it's a little too far out of the centre, but for me this is a bonus. Lovely area!
The hotel is in a leafy suburban area and is a relaxing haven to come back to after a day out in the city centre. The hotel is also close to Villa Borghese and is a pleasant walk into town. Staff were fairly pleasant (the women more than the men) and helped with the bags from the car. We had 2 adjacent rooms which was nice, and a garden terrace. Beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were well maintained. The whole hotel is kept to a very good standard. Breakfast was excellent although it would be nice if the breakfast room opened onto a terrace. You could carry it up the stairs if you wanted though. The terrace area is also nice and relaxing.
The shower curtain in one of the rooms (I think the disabled room normally) was a bit mouldy and not fitting to the standard of the hotel. Breakfast staff are hard to track down but the breakfast is good. Parking was on street (and not too hard to find) or €25 per day in a garage. Be careful on the sidewalks, there are a lot of dogs in the area!
Kindness and availability of the staff, nice room, good breakfast
room a bit too small
Fantastic front of house staff. Lovely room with private terrace
Room size, large windows.
Staff were very helpful
Room could have been cleaner
Decor, friendly staff, location
limited facilities, food
Lovely furnishings, delicious breakfasts, excellent staff, comfortable and quiet rooms, spacious beds, quiet location, nice garden to sit and have a drink in
buses only seem to run every hour into the city and that hour seems to change.
Stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our vacation in Italy. The place is a bit hard to find at the first go. The taxi driver who took us there didn't seem to know where it was either. But once you get there, it is all worthwhile. Set in a very quiet residential area, you never really feel like you are in one of the most crowded cities in Italy. The staff at the hotel were really very helpful. They sell the public transport tickets at the reception at the same price as the Tabacchi. This is particularly useful because the closest Tabacchi is not really close. They also helped us figure out various public transport routes that helped us save a lot of time travelling in Rome. The breakfast was a decent spread served in a really homely atmosphere. The room itself was extremely comfortable. We had a private garden which was a really nice place to sit and have a glass of wine in the evening. Even without the garden, they have a nice common sit out area which is equally cosy.
But all this comes at the cost of accessibility. There is only one bus, 360 connecting the hotel to the city and the bus is not very frequent. Well, technically there are two but the other one is a bit of a walk. The hotel recommended a path to walk to the city through some gardens which was really beautiful. The walk takes about 45 min and is beautiful the first time. Not a very practical way for everyday use. There are some small cafes nearby but the proper restaurants are about a 15-20 min walk away. Considering the hotel does not have a restaurant, make sure you organize dinner plans before you get back to the hotel.
Loved the house it was in. Loved the décor. Loved the neighborhood - quite and away from the bustle. Loved the patio and drink service.
