A very comfortable hotel we have used for 4 times in the last eight- highly recommended, efficient and well run. A very positive family or couples atmosphere. A good evening atmosphere in the bars and cafes locally. The best experience by far was the 2 painting trips I made to Choggia where coffee was third of the price and the tremezzo {tapas/sandwiches} were free at the bar. To save money buy a 7-day Venice water-bus ticket for £50.

cozy and relaxed atmosphere, very quit at night for a good night sleep, feeling secure and sound. There was no hot water during our stay, due to some defect of the heating sistem and the hotel offer a discount of price in return. In the early morning the noise from the street was too loud for a normal sleep. Something to do with the delivery for local stores.

Despite booking a hotel room and arriving at 3:50pm, I was unable to enter the locked hotel gates. Despite pressing the buzzer and calling the hotel multiple times, there was no answer. I could see inside that there was no-one at reception, and clearly no-one was monitoring their phone lines. I waited for over an hour, and after this booked another hotel. When I finally got in touch with Villa Edera, they were unwilling to cover any of the costs incurred in making such a late hotel booking. They were also quite rude and failed to appreciate the amount of time they had cost us between waiting for them + finding new accommodation, particularly given the limited time we had in Venice. I recommend not staying here, especially in winter, as the property is clearly not a priority for the owners. The front desk is also definitely NOT attended 24 hours - it was unattended the whole time I was waiting and even when I returned at 8pm I could only talk to someone via the phone.

The staff are friendly. Breakfast is sufficient. It was too warm at night, but I could not find how to control the room temperature.

The furniture in the room had soul, nice stencils, and furniture and mirrors and lights. The shower room was nice too. It was not inviting or easy to ask for a cup of coffee or a drink from the bar and nothing available after 9 pm when it should be 11 pm.

The best breakfast among all B&B's we stayed at in Italy. The hotel is clean, well furnished, large bathroom, quite, but too expensive for our budget and we could not cancel due to an error on booking.com, $250 was hefty for our budget. A nice short walk to the water taxi and 20 minutes later you were in heart of Venice. Very convinient. The staff was nice, but no one went out of their way to help when we asked for resturant suggestions. They did let us leave our luggages in the lobby near the bar for a few hours. Just the price is a bit too high given that water taxi cost 16 Euros for 24 hours plus Venice is expensive and difficutl to do on budget. Be aware of "sitting" charges per person at resturants

Hotel is very convenient to the waterbus. We walked to hotel with our bags in about 5 minutes. The breakfast is basically coffee, juice and some breads/fruits - enough to tide us over till lunch. Hotel room was small and clean. Staff was better than we anticipated. We really enjoyed staying out on Ledo Isle and getting away from the fray in Venice. Lido is a relaxed atmosphere with beutiful views of the bay and seaside. The main strip is less than a 5 minute walk and has bars, restaurants and shops. These definitely cater towards tourists but the food was good and the overall scene fun and active (actually better than a locals restuarant we tried for dinner and had a less than pleasant experience). Buy a waterbus pass so you can come and go to Venice as you please. Waterbus system is convenient and reliable. We really enjoyed renting bikes and spending a few hours riding around the island. Bike store is on the main strip and is cheap. Would difinitely stay at this hotel again. Price is not cheap but overall a better deal for the quality than many in Venice. Most of what we did not like is typical for the hotels we have encountered in Italy. Very small rooms, limited services etc. It's just a different experience from us hotels.

Good location. We asked the receptionist to plan the check-out time for we had to catch a train to Milan from Venice. Checking-out in line with his suggestion, we missed our train and spend another night's stay fee to catch out flight in Milan.

Location is excellent, close to the waterbus station, and the center of the island, and 5 min away from the beach. The staff is nice, but will take the money immediatly.

The hotel was perfect. It was my first trip to Venice and Italy and I enjoyed the experience very much. It was close to everything but also far enough away to be quiet. I would recommend it to anyone.

The hotel was in a great location to enjoy the beach and visit Venice in the evening when it is less hectic with tourists. The room was clean and had a small balcony, fridge and a safe. Breakfast was good. Our room was small and the water from the shower sometimes wet the bathroom floor which was annoying.

The location was excellent in a quiet area, but still close to the vaporetto station, close to the center of Venezia and close to the beach. Nice building and guarden. My room was situated close to the kitchen and the breakfast area, so I woke up very early each morning; also during the Redentore festa.

Location was excellent, within a few minutes from boats and about 10 minutes walk to the beach. Could have been more choice at breakfast but main complaint is about the dirty crockery and left-over food on tables which attracted pigeons in the eating area outside...disgusting! As guests left, tables were not cleared and cleaned and when new guests arrived for breakfast there was nowhere to sit and no clean cups or cutlery. It was very disorganised and very off-putting.

The location is brilliant and the hotel is lovely. The breakfast was amazing. We loved how easy it was to get to it. We paid a discounted price but I don't think it was worth the full price if we didn't have the discount.

We can't praise this hotel too highly. From point of the Receptionist's warm welcome, friendliness of the waitresses and chambermaids, to our leaving everything was just perfect. We found absolutely no evidence of the reasons leading to the negative comments made in some earlier reviews. The hotel's location in a quiet neighbourhood near the shops, cafes and the vaporottos was ideal. We just can't recommend this hotel too highly.

“The location is great, cross the road to water bus station to all destination. 3days ticket cost 33 euros. Very warm I the room, even hot. Anyway, you pay what you get in Venice and we didn't expect for a luxury room. And you must check Bruno out, especially in good weather. Change water bus at a place called Sabbioni. Good experice.” Wei, Beijing |
