We were coming off a tiring trip through Italy and it was a real pleasure to arrive at the Villa Elda. The welcome was warm, our room was spacious and comfortable (and everything worked well!). It is located on a quiet street, and although outside the city centre we quickly found a good route to the Campo that did not involve steep climbs (or drops). Also, the view towards the cathedral along the way was spectacular. Although a "hotel: rather than a B&B, the owner Mme Elda, was often around and she has chosen her staff well. Breakfast in the morning was up to a good Italian standard.
Everything was fine
The friendly and helpful staff. The owner helped us with our luggage. Breakfast was excellent, and our room was very comfortable.
It was a little hard to find the hotel, but it was worth it to stay there!
Nice hotel. We enjoyed the outside terrace to enjoy some wine after our days of touring. A short walk to the entrance to the center of town. We used Siena as base to explore Tuscany. We had a rental car and they always found a good place for us to park on a nightly basis. It was nice to wake each morning to the smell of the pastries being baked.
Location of the hotel is just perfect, a short stroll to Piazza del Campo. Hotel is small and cosy maintaining the Tuscan history & tradition. Breakfast in the garden in the beautiful autumn breeze was remarkable. Staff is friendly, helpful and made us feel like we're home. We'll stay there on our next trip to Siena. Special thanks to Riccardo, Sara, and Veronica.
Patio yard very beautiful. Up on hill walking into town. We drove car and met us out front guided us to private parking behind gate. Met our every need.
The excellent and very helpful staff, especially Sarah. The location, just outside the main centre, so quite and peaceful, but within safe and easy walking distance of the town centre. The rooms were very clean, bright and airy.
I booked the hotel specifically because a roof garden was mentioned on the web site. It is not currently in use. However the other aspects of the hotel were so delightful, that this did not detract from our stay.
The room (spacious and clean); the staff (very helpful and friendly); the parking (just opposite the hotel entrance, no problem); the view from the balcony and while walking into Siena (priceless!)
Breakfast could be improved, in terms of quality, if not quantity or variety.
The staff were excellent and very helpful. The hotel is in an excellent position within walking distance to the historical centre of Siena.
Very convenient for the sights, great staff, extremely helpful and good advice, breakfast good
Great staff, helpful and friendly. They exceeded our expectations on every interaction.
Very helpful staff
Awesome view from our room, could see the Duomo and cathedral straight ahead. Great location for doing day trips around Tuscany, and a 5 minute walk into Siena. The staff are top flight, truly make you feel at home.
Staff were very friendly and kind. Nice location, just good walking distance to centre of Siena so no worries to park a car at hotel. Was good time to have breakfast in a little garden ;)
Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. Real family atmosphere.
The whole staff was lovely and accommodating. The owners introduced themselves to us and were available to answer any questions, park our car, and suggest an itinerary and restaurants. The receptionists were also wonderful and extremely helpful!
Everything was perfect we will return!
Ricardo and Sarah were fabulous the facility is a short walk from Siena proper and the outside garden for an evening drink was a dream. Thanks for all the directions also...
Very friendly, helpful and "warm" staff! We even met with the owner on 2 occasions.
The friendly and relaxed staff were always helpful and make good coffee at breakfast in the lovely garden setting. The room was beautifully made up each day whenever we went sightseeing. We left very late some mornings. A few minutes easy walk to the top entrance to the old city made each day a great start. Parking the car is always a problem but Elder staff made sure this was as easy as possible.
Maybe the stairs but hey they did the suitcases. Bravo.
hotel was absolutely charming. an oasis from noise and street activity. good location. loved the grounds and sitting area. lovely people and beautiful hotel
Great location, close to get to old town
Location. Clean room
Small room. Poor breakfast selection.
Staff and location near centre.
Shockingly noisy until 1 am due to the festival. Perhaps we were unlucky but such events go on all summer.
Ricardo was a fabulous host. Unfortunately all the restaurants he recommended were either closed or booked out.
Breakfast options were not good considering we had no choice but to book room with breakfast.
The quality of the staff
the hot water that was not very hot
staff very friendly and professional. location and hotel was amazing.
the breakfast was poor and very standard
