If you are a non smokers like we are then this is probably not the place for you as soon as you walk in the door to reception, the smell of stale cigarettes is the first thing that hits you. It filters through the rooms as well, not pleasant.

Villa Flavia Gioia couldn't be in a better location, and I didn't meet a single unfriendly person during my stay. That in itself goes a long way toward a great vacation.

The "Attico" was fantastic!!! 270 degree wrap around patio/sun deck on your own private floor overlooking the church an bell tower (right next door!). The only thing better was Christian - he was amazing! So kind and helpful... Got us scooters on a day where none were open... Advice and help. We even ran into him around town and he invited us to have beers with he and his friends. He's the real deal in customer service.

Nothing not to like. If I had to pick something, the bed was hard, but what Italian bed isn't?

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment. it was spacious, clean, comfortable and had a lovely view of the sea from the lounge balcony. The service was very friendly and helpful, including organising a taxi to Napoli airport when we left. The location is fantastic - so close to the beach and ferries. Thanks, we would definately stay again if we return to Positano.

The only thing of note was something which is not Villa Flavio's fault. Much to our suprise there was a daily shooting game right next to the apartment. Peopel hire guns and shoot at glass - very noisy and not at all what we imagined we would find in Positano. Fortunately he did not seem to get many customers and it did not really bother us.

Perfect location, very close to the beach/harbor/center. Suites with sea view seemed great.

No breakfast, only 10% discount offered in a restaurant around. The rooms for travelers staying one night are more like closets than real rooms (extremely small, no room for luggage). Definitely not of the same level as other rooms.

What a great vacation--Sunny and hot the whole week!! Villa Flavio Gioia was truly a pleasant find. It's situated in the heart of all the action and is one flight of steps down to the beach. The villa is very well maintained and has a beautiful, private courtyard. It has 2 exits - one leads to the beach and the other through the courtyard into a winding street where the majority of the shopping and street vendors are located. The hosts, Maria & Christian, are very warm and helpful. Gave suggestions where to eat, scheduled our luggage pickup and return driver. Upon leaving, you'll want to get a motorized porter to take your luggage back up to the main road otherwise you'll need to lug it up hill (and thru the crowds) for quite a distance. The porter charged 10 euro/bag and was well worth it. We flew into Naples Airport and hired a driver (Silver Car) for 90 euro each way. It took us 1.5-2 hrs to get to Positano from Naples. The drive takes longer on the weekend due to heavy traffic. We stayed in Room #21, which was a spacious studio with a kitchenette and private balcony with a spectacular sea view. The balcony looks down on the piazza of the famed Church of Santa Maria Assunta. Weddings are performed there almost daily and we watched all the wedding couples coming and going. The beach is within view of your room. If you wish to lie in a beach chair w/ an umbrella on Spiaggia Grande beach (and trust me, you do) plan on paying 15 euro each. This isn't a large beach by American standards. You can leave your towel on your chair and come and go all day for that rate. The water was warm in mid June, but lots of (hot) pebbles instead of sand. The two closest restaurants are Chez Black and Buca di Bacco-both were very good for dinner, but expensive for breakfast/lunch.

The only detractors were the hard mattress & lack of a coffee pot.

Our rooms decor was very cheerful,spacious by euro standards,ideally located near beach and in town so not alot of uphill walking.

We wanted to take boat to capri but it was to rough every day we were there so took one from the larger harbor at Sorrento..the town was very quaint but ran out of things to do after 2 days as weather was inclimate at this time of year.cooking school was fun at bacco di becco? pricey but worth it especially on a rainy day.

We traveled in may.The Villa Flavio is perfectly located; close to the beach and main walking area.The rooms are big and furnished tastefully. the small kitchen is basic but nicely included into the interior design. Below the Hotel is a small store to buy all necessary things for breakfast. The breakfast is self prepared and taken on the small seaside balcony...beautifull sea view and shade in the morning...some may not apreciate that you are watched by the passing tourist...for us no problem. We would defenitely recommend the accomodation for couples with romantic expectation.Positano is the nicest place for a short holiday of Amalfi coast (Better than amalfi or Ravello) as it has beach, typical italian style houses and roads and some nice restaurants.

Only negative point:one night it was loud due to some party people on the church place opposite.

Front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. Location and views were spectacular. Room was well appointed and decor was beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.

Queda cerca de la playa, para el caso que hubiera podido utilizar la playa.

El hotel no cuenta con servicio de desayuno, nos dieron una habitación como que fuera de lujo, y tenía vista al mar, pero nada extraordinario, si nos hubiera tocado la habitación con vista interna, la vista es horrible y eso no lo muestran en la página, por las fotos parecen todas habitaciones con buenas vistas aunque no sea al mar. A la noche no queda nadie, hay que salir por una puerta de la que te dan una llave para salir y entrar, el servicio de Wi Fi es malo y caro, podría estar incluido en el precio, ya que la relación precio calidad es caro, el primer día pedimos que nos cambien las toallas y nos dijeron que no las cambiaban todos los días, luego lo hicieron sin pedirlo. En la cocina estaba lleno de hormigas, tuvimos que pedir que pusieran algo para eliminarlas, cosa que tendrían que haber hecho cuando limpiaron. Las fotos con césped que muestran no tengo la menor idea de dónde son, no había en las inmediaciones y menos en el hotel... No dicen que para llegar al hotel hay que hacerlo caminando, puesto se llega con el auto hasta un estacionamiento (que cobra 20 Euros) y luego caminar unos 250 o 300 mts en bajada con las valijas a cuestas, que luego hay que hacerlo en subida. Toda la zona del hotel es peatonal,

Апартаменты с одной спальней - оптимальное решение. Все удобно и под рукой, хороший боковой балкон. Самый центр. Хорошая аура

Шумновато под окнами, тир в котором начинают стрелять под ночь и почему то постоянно звенит разбивающееся стекло. Дороговато.

Прекрасный отель, расположен очень удачно по отношению к морю, пляжу и городским достопримечательностям. Персонал очень приветлив и предусмотрителен. Чистота идеальная, в номере имеется все необходимое и даже более того. В непосредственной близости к отелю находится храм, что абсолютно не мешает, а даже вносит некое разнообразие в программу отдыха. Бывает немного шумно, в духе Италии. В шаговой доступности находятся продуктовые магазины, рыбный рынок, кафе и ресторанчики, а также остановка автобуса и пристань, откуда легко можно уехать как по побережью от Сорренто до Салерно, так и на острова, например Капри. Рекомендую.

Очень красивый и уютный отель, потрясающие виды с балкончиков, местная плитка на полу и столешницах..снимали апартаменты: совмещенные санузлы в каждой из спален + 1 дополнительный, просторные комнаты, на кухне есть вся посуда и бытовая техника. 5 минут до моря, располагается прямо у городского собора и среди магазинчиков. 2 входа ( на разных уровнях горы). Среди постоянных клиентов певица Ферджи. Очень чисто, отличный персонал.

Excelente localização, quartos de frente pro mar, poucas escadas até a praia; muito perto, também da marina de onde saem as barcos para Capri. Quarto e banheiro muito limpos e confortáveis. Funcionários muito educados e prestativos. Definitivamente Voltaria lá!

Não tem elevador, não tem cafe da manhã, porém há uma pequena cozinha e geladeira. Pode-se comprar o que precisar na venda ao lado hotel. Não há funcionário 24h no hotel (apesar de disponibilizarem um telefone para caso de qualquer emergência). A recepção só funciona de 9:00 - 21:00h.

Gostei da localização, da vista, da facilidades do hotel com cozinha. Uma gracinha.

Talvez um espelho do lado de fora do banheiro.

En nuestro caso empezamos con un malentendido... El transfer nos esperaba en Nápoles siendo que llegábamos por Salerno... Estuvimos esperando hora y media en la estación, pero resolvieron el problema con responsabilidad, nos esperaba el chofer del transfer en el hotel para darnos sus excusas, nos obsequiaron una botella de vino y trataron de hacernos sentir bien. La gente ha sido sumamente hospitalaria, cuidando mucho al turista, bien dispuesta y asesorándonos con mucho gusto. El hotel tiene acceso directo a la playa, y viajando con niños nos pareció importante. Desde arriba de la colina la vista es más amplia y abierta pero valoramos la ubicación céntrica y el mar.

El Villa Flavio dispone de apartamentos y esto nos pareció también importante, viajando con niños. En las noches compramos una exquisita pasta y en las mañanas desayunamos con manjares de la zona, quesos, olivos, frutas y panes. Es una opción muy buena y recomendable. Positano es la mejor opción de la costa amalfitana!

la nostra stanza non aveva il balcone e la finestra dava su un brutto cortile interno. Abbiamo trovato qualche formica in camera.
