Hotel Villa Flori  

Good quiet location away from centre of Como. Nice room with view over lake. 5 minutes walk from where you can pick up the boat to explore the lake. Which was convenient if you didn't want to drive around looking for parking. Nice breakfast.

No information about facilities at hotel in room. No room service. Restaurant closed on Monday night without warning. Restaurant only open at night. Not so sure it should be advertised as four star?

Almost everything was perfect. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The view was fantastic. The room was first rate. A lovely hotel in an idyllic setting.

The hotel room was expensive, although well worth the cost. Parking and internet access at 25e and 15e per day a bit excessive, but at this hotel I didn't mind too much.

Location is ideal if you like to explore the lake via bY boat. Great views.

This hotel was the perfect place for our honeymoon. The room was luxurious and right on the lake. Views were spectacular and the multiple French doors allowed lovely fresh air into the room. The hotel decor was lovely and breakfast also gave a great variety. There are not many hotels in Como that are directly on the lake, so this is a place not to miss to truly enjoy what Como has to offer. The ferry which is 2 minutes down the road is a great way to get to and from Como city, so the distance was not an issue.

Nice location on the lakeside; parking facilities (shame they had to charge extra); refurbished old hotel done in a "classy"way. Second room we had boasted a lovely lake view, a balcony and electronic shutters (kept out the light).

Stayed in two rooms. The first was on the road (noisy), small, window treatments did not fully block out the light, the air conditioning did not work, there were only 3 hangers in the wardrobe, the safe did not work.The second room was overlooking the lake and the air conditioning was on full blast "fridge temperature"and would not stay off or turned down; small room again and the bathroom even smaller (no bath only shower). No tea and coffee facilities in the room. This would have been ok if there had been room service, which there was not. Staff were unfriendly, unhelpful and even surly. I did not like this hotel as I could not sleep!

The view on the lake and on Como town is nice.

We did not like our stay at Villa Flori because the rooms are noisy due to the main lake road nearby. They changed our room and the 2nd one was better but still noisy. It is more a business trip hotel rather than for a vacation, where you have much nicer and quieter place on the lake Como (Bellagio was top, much more relaxing). We also found it was expensive as they charge you for the parking (20 euros/day) and for the internet (20 euros/24 hrs).

The room was luxurious, the views were outstanding the location is great, and convenient to water taxi terminal... Everything was excellent.

The hotel is very romantic, the interiors are charming, the lake view from the balcony of the room are stunning! The balcony is spacious and there are chairs and a table so you can just sip the wine and relax! Everything is recently refurbished and very clean in the hotel. We could not hear any noise from the road - just the sound of the water! The dinner was pricey but very tasty. The breakfast was ok but the selection could be better, however, the setting for the breakfast is very charming indeed. I would certainly recommend this hotel for a honeymoon or a romantic break for two.

Extra cost of wifi is very disappointing and should not take place in a 4 star hotel. This is unaccepted and the owners of the hotel should change this immediately otherwise this will be spoiling their rating which could otherwise be much higher. The same is for the car parking - I think that 25 Euros per day is far two much.
