Hotel Villa Foscarini  

We have stayed twice at Villa Foscarini, in 2009 and 2011. The location is very convenient as it's just outside Venice and the train station is a five-minute walk away behind the hotel, but any train noise is not a factor. You can't hear any train in the hotel. Walls are thick and the doors are solid in this hotel, which goes back many years but it is completely modern in terms of amenities. If you're on a driving tour of Italy and want to see Venice, this works, as there is free parking at the hotel, and with the train so near it's easy to make the connection and spend your days in Venice without worrying about the car. Hotel staff we dealt with at the front desk were very courteous, and fluent in English. Based on our experiences in July 09 and July 11, this hotel is well worth it.

The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The room we had was very comfortable and unique and fulfilled our needs.The grounds of the villa are very nice and great for sitting out as the sun goes down. The villa is 20 minutes from Venice by train which is 3 minutes walk from the villa, you can also travel to Treviso which takes 10 minutes in the other direction.Local buses are also quite frequent but not as fast as the trains.We stayed 3 nights and ate in 3 different restaurants, none of which were more than 5 minutes walk away. There were at least another 5 places to eat also very close by. We would certainly recommend the villa to anyone who wants to explore the area without having the hustle and bustle of Venice.

We liked Daniel! He pretty well planned our whole week, telling us what we should do and see each day. It was great! I liked the pretty bed. It was good that we didn't hear other visitors. I really appreciated that the hotel allowed us to take off the extra day I accidently booked, after I made the reservations. Thanks! They called a taxi for us before we even got on the plane! And did the same our last day there.

I didn't like how they didn't make up the bed as nicely the last 2 days. I was disappointed in that. In the mornings, the shower would constantly change from extremely hot to cold, and back and forth. Not all of the sprayers in the shower worked.

the hotel staff is extremely friendly, helpful and multi-lingual! the location is perfect (25 min by train from Venezia) the decoration is really nice, old castle, fully renovated with the local venecian style! The best quality-price ratio in Venezia by far !!!!!

Beautiful accomodations

Villa Braida had slightly nicer breakfast, but room at Foscarini was much nicer for similar price.

Very near to the railway station and easy to go to Venice.

Too small for the room if you have a kid

A beautiful hotel. Ornately furnished. Well equipped room and a fantastic shower. Central location. A couple of minutes from train station, making it ideal for visiting Venice and attractions. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast with lots of choice. We would stay here again.

Good value, good breakfast and 5 minutes walk to the train station

the pictures did not lie. It was a beautiful place and the staff excellent. It was very close to the train station (only 20 minutes trip to Venice)

The breakfast could be better. I only tried it once but since I dont fancy sweets early in the morning I could not eat anything but some cheeze and ham. And a cup of coffee.

The beautiful old building swept you back in time, but the comfort is from present time.Central place close to the trainstation.Enough parkingplace.

This is a very nice hotel that I was told about by a colleague. The Villa Foscarinini is a quality hotel, but as it's on the mainland north of Mestre, you're not paying typical Venice prices. However, despite being on the mainland, it is only a 20 minute train ride to the island with the added bonus being the hotel is literally a 5 minute walk away from Mogliano station. Also, you're only a 20 minute ride from Treviso, with cities such as Padova, Vicenza and Verona less than an hour away.

The hotel is 5 min away from the railway station and from there 20 min away from Venice. It is a great deal if you plan visiting Venice. The furniture is stylish and the room was cozy.

Not too much variation in food for the breakfast.
