Where to begin... We made reservation for a convenient location close to the airport, which was not even close to the airport. This villa is too far from civilization. No phone, No kitchen like presented, not even a bar of soap, instead of staying for two nights, we could not wait to wake up and leave as soon as possible to our new booked hotel for the night near the airport. We do not suggest this Villa for anyone planning on enjoying their stay in Milan. This was probably the worst experience for my family. Please stay away!
The wifi code is correct, but you cannot connect to anything! NO mail, no websites, nothing works. Very disappointing.
location - near mliano airport very good breakfast kindy staff
Checkin is far from te villa. need to drive there.
The appartment was large and very comfortable. The vilage surounding was very nice ank quite. Great breakfest. We were taken and picked up from the villa by a very nice person.
Good price Only 15 min far from Malpensa terminal Quite place to rest and sleep
Nothing to do if you have kids Lack of aircon in the room Check in is not in the same place. You have to pay attention to avoid waste of time. Breakfast is included in price (positive), but you have to move to a different address. The breakfast saloon is very small and can not accomodate all the guests - there is a queue for table and chairs.
the staff was nice. rooms are clean. shutel servise to the airport at any time.
The check in is not at the same place. After we whited for 2 hours before the driver came. We were lucky, he brought other costumers. He spoke only Italian and was nice. So the villa is basically a cage, a nice one, but still a cage. No one is in there and you cannot open the gate by yourself.
Location to car rental drop off. Gated property.
Poor WiFi. Picture of place very deceiving. Non-working kitchen. Inconvenience to check in/out and eat breakfast at "parent" hotel off site.
Inconvenience of check in/ check out and breakfast. Internet was non existent. We got in, but not able to browse at any site.
in my room was very cold
Room was freezing when we arrived cold and wet from long journey. Even after finding the thermostat and switching it on, (can you believe it wasn't even on) bathroom was still too cold to use after hours of heating. Lighting was so poor we couldn't see properly. Wifi didn't work. We looked forward to breakfast after reading the positive reviews - very disappointed though the service was friendly.
Our room was ten minutes drive from the check in hotel. Though it did state this in our confirmation e-mail we'd had limited internet access so we only had the address supplied originally. When we arrived at what we thought was reception (in the middle of nowhere) it was gated with only a note by the gates with a telephone number to ring - neither of our phones had reception!
Very quiet, beautiful village where the roosters in the morning shouting and live kind, smiling people. Cute little house, with its own territory, automatic gates and car parking space. I lived in a quadruple, two-room, where there are four beds, two TVs, a kitchen, holodilkik, stove, etc. The large bathroom is fully equi
We stayed two nights in this summer because it’s very close to the airport. Our room has 3 single beds in the living area and 1 king-sized bed in the bedroom, a balcony and a big bath room. The balcony faced to a small grassland. The room was a bit old but clean and the house-keeping lady was nice too. The manager was a nice guy to take a tour for us in the room and briefed us some attractive surrounding areas. Their breakfast was simple but nice, traditional Italian style. I love their fresh brewed cappuccino. The restaurant was pretty and the waiters provided good services. When we checked out at the main hotel, we met the owner there. He only speaks English but he’s very nice and asked comment from us by translation of a staff at the hotel reception. When we told him there was no hot water for bathing at our 2nd night, he was shocked and promised to investigate.
The air-con has some bad smell. For the free wifi – 1st night worked very well but no service at the 2nd night.
Staff was very helpful, breakfast was nice, good location
No kitchenette with sink or refrigerator!
The room was very large, catering for 6 of us easily. It was also very clean. The staff were outstanding; friendly and extra-ordinarily helpful, going out of their way to help with the children and give us advice. There is a train station very close running between Milan and Lake Maggiore, but it is not very regular so check the times. The town is a real Italian small town, so you get a taste of the 'real Italy'.
Villa Giglio is about 2 km from the Hotel Tre Leoni, where the breakfast is served. However, the hotel compensated for this by having excellent shuttle services. The local train does not run very often - only every 90 mins to 2 hours, but you can also catch a train from Milan Malpensa airport to Milan, which is much faster but more expensive.
We liked that they had a park nearby for the kids and that it had a good breakfast. The room was quite large and we felt quite secure in the gated parking area.
The sheets were a little scratchy and the room seemed a little warm. We were glad we were there when it wasn't so hot outside since we did not see a room a/c.
Convenient for stopover. Good space.
Would have been good to know in advance breakfast was in hotel 10 mins away.
