Hard to fault really. Very interesting on multiple levels perched on the side of the hill. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were good size with balconies and great views out to sea plus inland towards Mt Etna. Bathroom was also good and large, with a decent shower. Breakfast was also good. Has a restaurant for evening meals if required. Taormina itself is a stunning town, with plenty of interesting things to see and do. Parking is limited. We were lucky in being able to park our car, but the car park would only hold about 3 cars. The hotel is on the hillside above the main part of town, so no problem for walking down to town centre for dinner, but most people would probably want to catch a taxi back up the hill after dinner.

We got a cozy room with privat facilities and breath taking view terrace. It was amazing to stay high on the slope with view to Taormina and Etna and ofcource to spend some time there before going to bed- very romantic and impressive. The person who met us was very friendly and explaned what and how to spend good time in Taormina. Breakfast was modest (as everywhere in Sicily) but really fine. Just enjoyed our stay there and would deffinately choose the same place next time! the room was cosy, but it was fine with us. one electricity socket was out of order. In the morning none of the staff were speaking English... But generaly it is really great place and great value for your money.

It is a family owned business so it is done with care and passion. Nice interrior, good prices, amazing views, good location (not suited for elderly because of stairs). Breakfast is quite nice as well. Some of the staff do not speak english so it can be hard to communicate.

The location, once we found it, was great for the price. Must be able to walk steep inclines/steps to get to and from town center although shuttle runs frequently from just out front.

The views of Etna as offered. 1. The amount of stairs, I mean a lot, to go from the hotel entrance to your room (two set of steep stairs), from your room to the dining room (additional two set of stairs and on the open), from the dining room/reception area to the garage (lots of additional stairs, about six all in the open). No elevator. 2. The room was just enough to move around. 3. The shower in the bath did not held in place; the shower area extremely small. 4. Breakfast provided the minimal

It was our second visit of Taormina and from that reason we appreciated steep aisles and steps...it makes that Taormina is the rare place...The hotel has the extraordinary location. You can admire the whole bay and the Etna mount from the terraces and restaurant. Our room and bathroom were spacious. We could sit on the large terrace every evening. We were staying there for two nights and every morning we had breakfast of different quality. The second morning the quality and quantity of breakfast were good. The first day the breakfast was served like for 1,5 people and no for pair and there was a lack of fruit juice...

Highly recommend in many ways. One of the best reasonable priced hotels in Taormina. Cars (which our group had 4 cars) can be parked on the road free of charge and it is safe.

Hotel Villa Greta has an excellent location and excellent views of Mount Etna and sea. Taormina is within walking distance. Ideal for those travelling by car with private parking. The family running the Hotel is very friendly and helpful. The Hotel restaurant provides excellent typical Sicilian food accompanied by local wine and breathtaking views. This was our second time at Hotel Villa Greta and definately not the last. Walking back up the stairs from Taormina centre.

Not many people in September, room was nice with a small terrace + 2 sunchairs and umbrella. Perfect view. Room was pretty quiet. Sometimes I was able to hear the cars. Breakfast was served with view to the Etna. Another big plus: They played Italian music at breakfast in a nice low sound. Perfect Italian feeling with the music and with Mimmo being our waiter and receptionist.

It's a very nice hotel with a nice-view restaurant 10 mins walking away Via Umbero by STAIRS . The room is clean and staff is professional. I tried to use the local phone in the room, but unfortunately they couldnot transfer to my room, I have to go to the casa for receiving the call.

Very cosy hotel with the mutual history behind. No problem with the parking. Very nice staff. Close to the centre of Taormina (but be ready to climb about 500 m upstairs on your way back to the hotel). And the best of all - view! People travel a lot to get that kind of view and you will have it at breakfast and dinner and any other time. Very small shower - about 50x50 sm - good only for the child. Very poor walls - you can say "bless you" to your neighbour.
