Villa Il Crocicchio  

The accomodation felt like it may have been a large farmhouse at some stage, & is surrounded by vinyards, it is quite rural, and not easy to find the first time you arrive....it sits up country lanes, it feels typically Italian in all respects. It is very beautiful, quite serene. The owners must care very much for this small business, the entrance & walkways are filled with large planted terracotta pots growing lemons & limes, the public areas are exceptionally well kept... The restaurant has a rustic Tuscan feel & apprearance, the menu was excellent, the food was thoughtful & well prepared, the staff are all very welcoming. Some nights they have live music in the restaurant area. The villa was busy,full of visitors, people really were entertained & seemed to enjoy the music very much. I would expect that for some of the visitors passing through, it may have been a highlight of their holiday. The rooms are quite basic, but have everthing you may need, toiletries are provided in the bathroom, extra blankets if you are chilly, and the bed was very comfortable.

I only have a few comments regarding my stay, more recommendations than dislikes. More fruit or yougart at breakfast would be good...and maybe even just one English speaking channel on the TV would also be good, most of the guests seemed to be either American or English speaking, however, they only had Italian speaking channels.

Staff very attentive. The view was great. The olive and grape vineyards show what Italy is all about. This is how I pictured Tuscany.I Would recommend Villa ll Crocicchio to anyone visiting Tuscany. I will go back! Thank you for a great stay.

in inverno non funziona il ristorante, per mangiare devi prendere l' auto e fare 3 km per arrivare al piu' vicino paese

Construit sur un immense terrain, l'hôtel est constitué d'une maison ancienne, restaurée et agrandie par des constuctions neuves. Belle et grande chambre. Calme absolu. Immense piscine et installations de jeu pour les enfants. Les studios et appartements sont équipés d'un coin cuisine. Situé à 30 km de Florence, où les hôtels sont très chers, la Villa Il Crociccio, constitue un bon "camp de base" pour les familles avec enfants qui veulent alterner visites culturelles et vacances au calme à la campagne

Assez difficile à trouver, surtout de nuit. Le 19 septembre le restaurant était fermé le soir, mais on nous conseillé la pizzéria du village voisin où nous avons trouvé bonne ambiance, grandes et bonnes pizzas pour un prix très correct.

La stanza spaziosissima , pulita e dotata di ogni comfort .

Unica pecca , il costo (a mio parere) eccessivo della colazione : 7€ a persona mio sembra tanto anche per una colazione a Buffet .

Ottima struttura immersa in un panorama particolarmente suggestivo. Bella la piscina e gli appartamenti.

Location stupenda e cortesia dello staff. Lo consiglio e ci ritornerei volentieri anche per turismo.

Sette euro per la tipologia di colazione proposta mi sembrano sinceramente un po' troppi.

L'edificio esternamente si presenta molto bene anche l'area esterna e' ben curata.

La posizione: l'albergo risulta difficile da raggiungere anche usando un navigatore e la sua posizione non e' ben segnalata con cartelli. La pulizia e' appena accettabile, l'arredamento e' scarno e raffazzonato. La colazione costa 7 euro a persona ma e' scarsa e di pessima qualità. Se si soggiorna in inverno le stanze sono fredde e umide. Il bagno e' scomodo e con una doccia a pavimento, scomodissima se si hanno bambini.

We have been several times in this "Agritourism" and the location is wonderful. The staff is very kind and always available to stretch. The rooms are equipped with a kitchen if planning to stay longer and visit the area it might be useful to keep the budget on track, though being in Tuscany there are fabulous family managed restaurants within reach by car, why should you save on that? :) A swimming pool and a lovely garden are a nice plus. Parking available and a car a must.

Unfortunately the restaurant that before made our experience here exceptional, has been closed. They served a fixed menu with a few options, there was no match with the way it was. We hope the management will re-think of it, because Agri-Tourism is a combi of location and home made food, fresh and rural, this is what you should expect from such a place. Overall though it is a very nice place and still worth every Euro.
