Villa Il Fedino    

Very warm family welcome, excellent Tuscan villa, we probably found our second home in Villa Il Fedino!

Family owned hotel, warm atmosphere. The owner is an open and kind person. She recommended us the best local restaurants and gave us good advises according to visiting Sienna and Florence. The hotel is the best for people who prefere to stay a couple of days in the Toscana landscape but not far from the Florence.

It was a privilege to stay at Villa Il Fedino. This magnificent home has been in the family for a hundred years and the foyer, in particular, is stunning. We had a lovely room on the terrace at the back. Unfortunately, it rained all the while we were there, but it would have been lovely just to sit and admire the view the terrace. Allessandra made us very welcome and the breakfast was delicious, ample, and felt quite authentic. I would definitely stay here again.

The place is hard to find and isn't signed very well, and when we eventually arrived in the teeming rain the door was locked. Got a response after a while, so all good.

We spent a part of our honeymoon in this hotel and will definetely recomend it to everyone who would like to experience a specific atmosphere of the traditioanl Tuscan house with its hospitallity and marveolous views. Everything was excellent: the extra large room with antic furniture which makes you feel that you are in a fairy castle, nice breakfasts, friendly family who owns the villa and is always ready to help you on any question you have. Small restaurants near the villa offer splendid Italian cousine. It takes approximatelly 15-20 minutes to get to Florence if you are travelling by car. The hotel has a comfortable parking place.

Very friendly staff, comfortable lodgings

We had a wedding to go to 7km away and this was a lovely spot to stay. It overlooked the countryside and had a charming breakfast spot outside that was romantic and peaceful. The owner was so concerned that the Castle we had to go to for the weddding was so in the countryside and that taxi's were hard to comeby that he drove us twice to the location. He even got Marie to iron my husband's Tux and my dress for the wedding!! They were so accomodating and on the same hand gave us plenty of privacy. The 700 yr old Villa itself was so romantic and was a 5 min walk to shopping and restraunts. The room was spacious clean and charming! Wi-fi...great as well. We enjoyed the food and the pleasant people in the countryside. We really enjoyed the hospitality of this family and would recommend this place to anyone. The owner even took us into Florence to get the train back to Rome. We will always have fond memories of the Villa!!!!

Located in outskirts of cosy village close with some nice restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff (family that runs the business)!

The room we got was very small - however we got a private terrace just outside instead as compensation.

Lovely Villa held by a amazing woman and her husband. Very lovely staff. Felt like home. Nice rooms and lovely garden.

Bad Wi-Fi connection

SANDRA was so kind and helpful, the room spacious and beautiful, loved the pool and the village of San Casciano. Ate delicious meal at Nello in the village.

Each of the rooms were huge and beautifully designed and decorated. Ideal for a romantic getaway but big enough for a family if needed. Furnishings were of a very high standard. We had a lovely four poster bed which was very comfortable. A lovely breakfast was laid out each morning on the terrace overlooking the Chianti vineyards. There was also a restaurant attached if you didn't fancy walking into the local town in the evening (town was only a five minute stroll) Ideal place to relax and good size pool to cool off in. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all a fabulous place to stay.

The Villa was in quite a remote location which meant that public transport was a little more limited. A car would be better if you plan on getting about but if you are happy to relax it is perfect.

We were at Villa II Fedino on Our Honeymoon, and we had great time there. The views are so nice, and the hospitality of the Staff was great. Recommend this for sure - you will have great time there...

Charming but quirky. Hard to categorize. Love it or hate it. We would go back. Relaxed atmosphere. We couldn't find the hotel but a member of staff came to fetch us. Feels like being a guest in a slightly quirky country house. Our room had a vaulted ceiling that made if feel like a castle. Shopping in San Cassianno is a short walk away. Easy drive to Florence airport. Great view from the garden. Good restaurant with friendly staff.

Pool was actually a large above ground tank that did not invite you to linger. Not enough sun loungers when hotel is full and no sun umbrellas. Garden has a great view but is tatty. Breakfast doesn't start until 08.30 - not unusual in Italy but can be a challenge if you need to make an early start for the airport.

The owners and staff were really helpful and attentive - they made our stay worthy. The views were amazing (especially when looking from the unusual pool!) and the location is highly recommended. Easy to get buses to Florence and Sienna.

We stayed in Villa II Fedino for 3 nights. The place is incredible, a true traditional Italian house with magnificent scenes of Toscana. It should be said as a chateau because the property exists since XIV - XV century. Besides, our room itself is splendid, charming and exceptionally spacious with a lovely fantastic terrace, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a drink. All antique furniture and paintings in room are well preserved and maintained that make me feel like inside a gallery. Other rooms are also well renovated with classic taste of chateau style although not as big as our's one. All beddings are very clean and tidy. The bathroom is not big one but having very nice toiletries and very clean and thick towels. The warm welcome from the property's owner Alessandra was perfect including a jar of iced fruit juice and a cup of lovely Italian Expresso on our arrival which was really impressed. Her help, assistance and kindness make us having a feeling of being part of her family. She is extremely helpful, friendly and lovely. We enjoyed having breakfast in front of such a stunning view of Toscana. Dine in the chateau's underground dinning room ( previous a wine cellar) is romantic. We loved the homemade pasta, Italian cuisine, and homemade bread baked by Chef Val and his wife Terre. The Toscana wine recommended by Terre is very good. Terre and Val is very nice and helpful. They suggested places to visit in Toscana. The location is unbeatable, we can easily drive around famous attractions in Toscana. We enjoyed a day of visit to Florence. Another day we visited nearby city Siena and San Gimignano. The chateau offers the privilege to stay within a private carpark with a large swimming pool and nice garden. All of us loved here and wished we could have stayed longer. We hope to enjoy in a future visit. "Alessandra is our Angel".

This 700 year old villa was very comfortable - rooms were decorated with lovely period furniture and well kept. The staff were helpful with information on local services. It was walking distance to the town and bus station. the trip to Florence took only half an hour on the bus. The restaurant on site was pleasant with setting on the terrace. The breakfast was good. Parking was secure. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The internet was wired - no Wi-Fi as the walls are too thick.

Villa il Fedino is conveniently located near the bus station and the village of San Casciano so it's easy to reach without a car. The medieval villa, the suite we stayed in and the view over the countryside hills were breathtakingly beautiful! Breakfast was big and delicious and served to the tables on an outside terrace. Alessandra and Amat were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. We spent 3 days at the luxurious villa just relaxing, reading in the garden and swimming. The center of the village is less than 5 minutes walk away and there you'll find many nice shops and good restaurants. We can highly recommend staying at Villa il Fedino! It was definitely one of the highlights during our two week vacation in Tuscany.

The food was not good and the breakfasts -- which sounded excellent on their website -- were positively poor and slow. No fruit juice was served nor any fruit, I had to ask for fresh fruit and when it arrived it was good. The restaurant was freezing cold and we had to fetch sweaters, not a nice atmostphere. There was only one easy chair in the "suite" Bathroom not user friendly Was glad we had only two nights there

Beautiful view across the country side – which is what on is paying for.

We stayed in the double room – fairly simple and small, price is on the high side for the quality.

We were greeted with a warm frinedly smile from Alessandra who spoke excellent Ehglish. The room was large and comfortable with a shower not a bath/shower. Alessandra had excellent knowledge of the area and recommended some fabulous local eating places and places to vist in the Chianti region during our stay. The brand new pool, overlooking the valley, will be very popular during the summer months. We will definataley come back to vist when we go back to this beautiful part of Italy.

The genuine friendliness of the staff and Ahmad in particular made us feel extremely welcome. He was getting the hotel ready for the season so although it was perhaps not yet fully operational ie the restaurant was not yet open for evening meals. (Although we found an excellent one in the centre of town with an amazing atmosphere and food) the fact that nothing was too much trouble made our stay very enjoyable. The location was excellent as the centre of the town is literally about a 5 minute stroll away yet the Villa itself is tranquil with beautiful views over the coutryside. We felt that it was our own private residence! We would certainly stay again.

Nothing really, Pehaps if I was being very picky, I would have liked there to have been a bath as well as a shower. I appreciate that this may use too much water but having come from Assis where it had been pouring with rain all day it would have been nice to be able to relax in a warm bath!

un petit bémol - sur la présentation le lieu semble en plein campagne ce qui n'est pas le cas mais se situe à l'entrée de SAN CASCIANO et une route fréquentée passe juste au dessous. La nuit cependant c'est très calme
