Villa La Tartana faces the beautiful sea of Positano, very close to the famous Spiaggia Grande beach. Recently renovated, its original characteristic architecture has been preserved and enhanced.

La Tartana enjoys an ideal location to spend a perfect beach holiday, yet being near the centre of Positano, in the pedestrian area, with shops and restaurants. The main square, hub of local transport and setting of the beautiful Santa Maria Assunta Church, is also a short walk from the hotel.

The Villa is also close to the small beachfront harbour where, during summer, there are numerous ferries and hydrofoils to Capri, Sorrento, Naples and Amalfi, including boat trips along the coast.

The turquoise and blue hand-painted ceramic tiles from Vietri bring a breath of sea breeze into the rooms adding to their beauty and light: this will be the ambiance of your comfortable retreat.

Travel information

The easiest way to get to Positano from Naples is by taxi. The hotel has arrangements with a reliable taxi firm and on request they can arrange for a car to pick you up.
There are also buses in the airport which take you to the train station. Here you can get the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento and then from Sorrento you can get a SITA bus to Positano. In Positano you should get off at the second bus stop (La Sponda) and then walk down the hill towards the centre of Positano. If you have a lot of luggage you can wait at La Sponda for the small, orange local bus which goes around Positano to Piazza dei Mulini. At Piazza dei Mulini take the street leading to the beach. At the church go left, down some steps and after walking under an arch you will find the Villa near the hotel Buca di Bacco.
