Score from 218 reviews Very good
Views from rear excellent nice setting. Used nearby trattoria for evening meal which was recommended by staff. Charming waitress at breakfast.
Cleanliness issues in spa area. Main pool closed -late in season? Dead insects and some dirt in spa.
we had a nice modern room with view towards the pool and not to the street free shuttle service to Florence - Excellent close to an outlet shopping center good restaurants close by... one to which you can even walk good variaty of breakfast
Unfortunately the Fitness Center is a joke since it is in the middle of a conference room with just 4 exercise maschines Were there in the middle of September but the pool was very cold. Not heated unfortunately...good for the environment Villa has a huge park and a brochure of the walks in the park, unfortunately the different walks are not marked so you can get lost Price/Service is not acceptable from my point of view
Excellent breakfasts and stunning decorative rooms.
Wasps at the pool, huge best in old tree at front of hotel. Scuffs and dirty marks on walls in our bedroom
Lux and great design, beautiful location in the middle of a park
Lovely grounds and public areas, friendly staff, ok restaurant.
The regular rooms are not 5* level and lack luxury feel. The pool in August was freezing so noone was swimming. Florence is 1h away.
View from the window Spa facilities
Tower rail not in order, en-suite outdated, Restaurant menu - poor.
Staff recommended Maga Magoo - excellent restaurant recommendation! Staff recommended a Pinot Noir tour/tasting @ Podere Fortuna... An excellent experience as well! Breakfast spread is really nice!
Some parts of the property were not as well kept with pockets of dirt and untidiness...
We liked unity of this historical heritage and luxury hotel. Service, location, rooms are excellent. Close to plenty tuscan restaurants, cellars, olive yards, near McArthur Glen oulet, one of the very bedt in Europe.
The place is nice
Hotel gave us a room without a window. Hard to argue a lot to finally get a decent room Bed are as nice as a piece of wood There is a pool but can only accomodate for one fourth of the guest. be sure to wake up early to get a seat.. Food is pretty average and pricey Staff is ok but not used to work for a 5* Manager of the hotel only show up in the afternoon
The pool and the breakfast were excellent.
The restaurant was unreasonably priced and the bed was very uncomfortable.
The hotel was a beautiful property with all the ingredients of a 5 star in its surroundings and luxury.
Couldn't get an ironing board and there was no Coffe or tea facilities
rooms very nice. good food
distance from Firenze, but shuttle is good service, but it is much better to be able to go back and forth from your hotel during the day rather than having to spend 7-8 hrs in city waiting for shuttle return. In other words I didn't realise how far from Firenze it was!
The exterior of the building and the public areas were impressive.
1. ROOM. We were supposedly upgraded to a junior suite (room 123). This was a very poor room, not remotely like 5* quality. 2. RESTAURANT. We were staying for 5 nights. The restaurant menu was limited in choice and did not change - not good enough for a luxury hotel.
The Location was beautiful and the hotel definitely excellent in it's facilities and in it's design. It was a beautiful combination of traditional architecture with modern design. Very individual and memorable.
I was extremely disappointed with the food in the main restaurant. We did eat there on 2 evenings, as my partner did not want to travel outside the hotel due to a bad back. I can assure you I was not happy about that! It did not live up the the standard of the rest of the hotel. The food was very ordinary in it's presentation and lacked flavour. This was the case on both nights. The petit fours presented at the end of the meal were stale. Very over-priced for far below average quality food. However, the service was excellent. I would not recommend eating in the restaurant to anyone. The chef and staff in the kitchen need to be replaced.
The location was really great. very quiet and romantic. the hotel design and facilities were excellent. everything about the destination and the hotel were really up to perfect standards.
General ambience. Constructive approach of the staff to a problem tat arose in respect of our original room. Breakfast
Limited choices on main courses in restaurant: no beef (for 1 person) or veal
