Wonderful,

“ The staff were very helpful and friendly. We planned to spend one night, and after the dinner on the first night desided to stay for 3 nights. We were offered a suite at very reasonable price. The suit was located in a new building. The room was absolutely fabulous, everything is new and shining. The restaurant is very good too. I recommend it very highly. ”

The accomodation was beautiful. We were upgraded, with no extra charge, to one of the recently built garden rooms, which was immaculate and had incredible iews of the mountains from the spacious balcony. The staff were welcoming. friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated high above Trento and is not easy to find without a GPS. Access is also difficult from the narrow, winding road.

Has potential with better management. Do not believe it when you read - “private parking is available and reservation is not necessary”. I stayed at Villa Relais Madruzzo near Trento with two friends in our classic cars. Our cars are very low and wide which makes them a little difficult to manoeuvre and my friends are rather more precious about parking them safely than they would be in their everyday vehicles. One of the reasons why I booked us into VRM was because the booking site stated “private parking is available and reservation is not necessary”. V R M is located outside Trento, in the middle of nowhere, up a single track road. After a beautiful but long drive from the south, we arrived up the narrow single track road and were met by a scene of utter chaos. Cars were jammed into every available space and clearly there was nowhere left to put 3 cars. Because the road outside was so small and narrow, parking the cars anywhere else nearby clearly was not an option. We were forced to just stop, completely blocking all the other cars already jammed into the hotel grounds. I left my car and walked into the reception and simply asked them to help me park 3 cars, the response I got was just astounding. There were two people working on reception and they looked at me with slack jawed bemusement, I repeated my request and they eventually asked me which building I was staying in. Of course I had no idea which building and wasn’t even aware that there was more than one, so I just gave them all our names. This was again met with slack jawed bemusement. Eventually they satisfied themselves which building we were staying in - though I still can’t see what difference it made as the site had two blocks of accommodation with cars covering every available spare inch of space between them and not a single parking space available anywhere. Finally I join my friends outside, along with the Hotel staff member who stood and stared at our cars with slack jawed bemusement.

I do not know many hotels, that may offer such a high standard of service, friendly stuff, romantic interieur/exterieur and excellent kitchen. All this for a resonable price and free (plus safe) parking places..Strongly recommended!!

Beautiful hotel. Great service. The staff was sweet to our family and accommodating re: adjustments in our schedule. It didn't seem well-suited for a family with small children but that may be due to self-consciousness.

From a global traveller that visits 25 countries per year, this is the best hotel in its category that I have stayed at since 2010. I stayed in the new section and the rooms were excellent, large and business friendly with eight English News channels on tv for instance. Service throughout was superb and the quality and service of the dining room was Michelin 3 starts. Brilliant. Wine prices were a bit high but still good value.

This was my second stay here and I could choose my room. Had a much bigger room than booked for the same money. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is very good. Well recommanded for business travel. Again, I would book this hotel again (as I wrote on my first review) when doing business in the area. A small minor is that you need a navigation system to find this hotel, especially if it's your first visit.

the swimming pool - the breakfast location is a bit of out of town but yet not really rural. A complimentary shuttle service with the train station would have been appreciated.

We stayed for four nights and this was the pick hotel of our six week holiday in Europe. The service and quality are equal to any 5 star hotel we have stayed in. We chose a room in the new building and the view and appointments, particularly the bathroom were perfect. The breakfast and restaurant are first class and every request we made was met with a smile.

We stayed at Villa Madruzzio for 3 nights in October with my friend. We had ordered the room in mansarda, and, when we arrived, they gave us choice. We looked at the second room and still took our mansarda with one double and one single bed. It was comfortable enough; only their electricity system is irritating a little bit (a lot of noisy buttons), though everything worked. There are carpets in the room and in the whole building, not very fresh, yet clean and not dusty - so my allergy did not disturb me this time. The old building looks non-ordinary and has it's special atmosphere. The view on the mountains and the city downstairs is fantastic and the air is wonderful, clean and fresh. The territory lets the guests do whatever they want to do: huge trees, beautiful flowers, the fountain (it worked on October, 7th), chaise longs for getting a tan, which you can use on the sunny days, chairs and tables for little talks among friends). We did not use pull and sauna, though there was such a possibility. We visited restaurant, the prizes are not crazy and the dishes are delicious. Try "knodles", if you want to taste local Austrian-like cuisine. And cremes brulees was perfect, better then anywhere else I tried it And we liked the waiters, very nice people! If you are renting a car, you will be fine with this place. If not - there is a bus station not far from villa, but you need to buy tickets in tobacco shop (you will find it 200 metres further, at the little square with one more bus stop). Once the bus driver did not let us into the bus, because he had not tickets to sell. On monday the restourants in Trento were mostly closed, but the restourant at the villa Madruzzio was working (but they do not work on Sundays, as I remember).
