This former monastery overlooks a peaceful courtyard where the buffet breakfast is served each morning. Hotel Ponte Sisto is in central Rome, just under a quarter of a mile from Campo de’ Fiori.

Friendliness of owner and sweet talking.
Mice in the room, yes, no jokes, mice in the room. A garbage bag left in the room, smelling of cigarettes.Apologies would not change the bad realities.Rooms, (ex servants lodging) are in the back of villa, small, without view, same breakfast hole. One goes to a hotel to relax, enjoy and sleep, not to hear the sweet talking of owner. Villa is very far away from center, nothing interesting around, at the end one pays more cause of transportation by taxi. This place surely cannot be rated 5/5! Sweet talking leads to misleading favourable reports. Watch it out!
Quiet location near Giancolo Hill, the Vatican and Trastevere. Lovely hosts and cute decor. Perfect breakfast.
Walking to/from was dangerous due to the crazy Roman drivers. Room was a bit damp.
very nice and clean villa, a beautiful garden, walking distance to the Vantican, Mr. Sante is very helpful and give us a lot of advice, certainly will stay again!
Great breakfast. Lovely spacious room. Owners very friendly and helpful.
Superb housing. Super-clean rooms. Real quiet place. Awesome breakfast. Excellent staff and owners. Definitely recommend the place and would rent again without any hesitation.
Wifi a bit sketchy at times unless you make it close to the router - then it's all right. More significant - although not a deal breaker, no sidewalks for a fair distance (about 1000' either way), meaning you share the road with speeding cars. A taxi is pretty well a must at night unless you value your life less than a cab fare.
Everything, the ppl were outstanding too.
Not long enough.
The hotel was one of the best small private hotels I have stayed anywhere in the world Apart from the location and facilities it was housed in a beautiful walled garden , offering seclusion , peace and quiet
Lovely accommodation and staff. Highly recommended
Personal touch Friendliness Cleanses of the rooms Beautiful well maintained garden Location - close to the Vatican & the most beautiful view of room
Long steep uphill walk from wherever you come - not good for people who have difficulties walking
Very expensive for less standard.
The room as well as the staff and the overall service was excellent. The place was 7 minutes away from Piazza Navona (we had a motorcycle). The breakfast was rich as well. Free wifi (we had 4 devices connected).
We could not enjoy the magnificent garden due to the large number of mosquitoes in the garden at that time (mid August).
Beautiful location, extremely helpful staff and overall feeling of being home in the villa made our stay in Roma very special.
Great location. Very friendly host, the owner. Good for walking around the Roms center. Private garden, tranquill.
nice for service and nice breakfast
location is a little bit not good ,if you back at night
The owner was very helpful and booked our tickets for us. He took time to talk to us and made stay personal. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful using home grown produce. The situation was good enabling us to walk to Vatican, Colluseum etc.. Room very clean.
R The location was very close to the city yet very private and quite beautiful.
Everything was wonderful.
can be highly recommended for any traveller visiting Roma, very nice location with a beautiful garden, outstanding service and support by owner, would go back any time.
Handy location for the Vatican and the restaurants in Trastevere. The owners were good hosts and extremely helpful with info and arranging taxis. A quiet location away from the bustle and noise of the City.
A steep uphill walk to return in the evenings and a lack of public transport between the location and the city centre may be difficult for some. Unless you like a lot of walking you are reliant on taxis - not cheap option in Rome.
very nicely appointed room, helpful staff, quiet location but not too far from attractions, beautiful garden to relax and enjoy.
Really enjoyed location , personal service, and general comfort.
If I had to pick fault I would recommend the breakfast area to be larger to accommodate more visitors .
Beautifully restored property, lovely private setting, friendly and hospitable service, delicious dinner in room, walking distance to sights.
The narrow one way street was a bit dangerous when walking; just need to be aware, otherwise catch a taxi.
Very friendly personnel, nice support and advice with planning sightseeing visits. Delicious breakfast buffet with lots of variety. Good location and in a very nice setting. Walking distance to Vatican and Trastevere! To get there on foot you have to pass about 100-200m of street without walkway, but it is well lit at night, and was no problem once we got used to it.
Coming home after a hard day of sightseeing was best, the garden splendid with wysteria and climbing roses in full bloom, the civility of staff and the other guests (we were lucky) gave a welcome feeling, and the hosts always were at ease and gave of their time.
The via delle fornaci is enclosed by big walls on both sides, and there are lots of cars and traffic going both ways. We took walking it for a challenge and enjoyed the less busy quarters that you reach after a few minutes of adrenalin-rush.
The breakfast was great. Hearty meats, cheese, homemade egg quiches, cappuccinos. Sante is wonderful. Very friendly, great English and knows his way around the city. Ask him for restaurant recommendations. He knows where the locals go and it's very good!
The location is beautiful but a little off the beaten path. Walking to the villa along the alley way was a little scarey with all the speeding cars.
Amazing place in the middle of the garden, only a few hundred meters from Vatican. In case you would like to be in the "Tternal City" and in the nature same time, this is the right choice!
