Hotel Villa MalpensaDon Andrea Sacconago 1/3, 21010 Vizzola Ticino (Show map) Very good, Score from 252 reviews“My wife and I stayed at Villa Malpensa 20 years ago on our first trip to Italy...they had just opened and everything was fresh...this stay was a nice way to reminisce. We had a late night dinner when we returned from Milan and the meal was one of our best while in Italy. I would certainly recommend this location.”

Thought the staff was not that friendly or helpful. The dinning room staff was pretentious, we were told to make a reservation as the dinning room was heavily booked. When we arrived at 7:30 there were 4 persons including us. Only one or two others arrived the whole time we were eating dinner. Food was just farfe and expensive. Asked for the wine list, which was the size of a bible.

The hotel itself is very beautiful and even though only 800 meters from the airport, there's no noise from airplanes. You wouldn't think you were in an 'airport' hotel. As it is situated next to the airport, it would benefit the hotel to look at the business travelers as clientele. Now it hasn't really identified who it aims for, while I think it could do so much better in service and ambiance if they did. I wouldn't recommend it to business travelers, nor to holiday or short stay travelers.

The grounds and building are impressive and beautiful. The food and wine in the restaurant were superb. There was no information in the room about hotel amenities. The safe didn't work. The tv didn't work. When I asked the staff to rectify the tv problem they were disinterested and cold, and in the end they only managed to get a grainy picture. Also there was only one English tv channel (cnn) and not the advertised three, which would have included the bbc.

It's close to the airport, but not quite (need transfer bus); staff couldn't care less; room stale & drab; in sum, only to be opted for if the Sheraton is full / massively overpriced.

To be honest it's a good location but not sure I would stay again - it's my 3rd time there and it seems to have changed in a negative way -

A wonderful villa with a rich history and friendly staff. The swimming pool is fine and it is amazing that so close to the airport you do not hear anything! A real must for those that need to stay over before or after flying!

Excellent service from the airport. The building and grounds were stunning and so beautiful when we arrived that evening. Our room was very nice and the staff were professional but very friendly. We weren't able to stay long enough to enjoy the pool. Would love to come back.

I liked how the room had everything: a safe, a fridge, a tv, air conditioning, etc. They also provided a shuttle at the time I had requested. I wanted to talk to the hotel when my flight got in. They warned me that I should use their shuttle, but I did not know I had to go across highways. A closer hotel would be better, but by taxi it's only 12 euros.

The best part of staying at the hotel was the free shuttle service to and from Malpensa Airport. There were no blankets in the room and only one pillow. Also no tea and coffee facilities.

Location near the airport is perfect (close but still you can hardly hear any planes), there is no problem with shuttle bus service provided by the hotel, and then from the airport one can take express train to the centre of Milan which goes every half an hour. Front elevation of the hotel looks very nice - you may say to friends that you have stoped in the palace :) very small outdoor swimming pool, it's location to the rear of the hotel near some noisy machines is a mistake

Considering what they charge per room normally, our special tariff was probably good value - considering the proximity to the airport. The location is only good if you want to be close to the airport, otherwise avoid it, there is nothing nearby (I.E. shops, restaurants etc.) Generally the service was quite poor for a 4 star hotel, no help with luggage, supercillious bar staff and driver, lacking in manners while serving food from the bar menu, aloof receptionists. Most cold and unpleasant staff during our entire 3-weeks stay in Italy. The regular room rates are high for this hotel. We only rate our stay as fair in terms of value because we got a very special price.

The nice atmosphere in the Hotel (the old classical Italian style...) and the great cuisine ! There was a fair in Milano and the price for one room was overrated (more than 300 Euros)

The staff are very generous, kind and welcoming. We liked that it was so close to Malpensa Airport and provided a free shuttle till very late at night. The Manager was very helpful to us. We loved the setting of the3 beautiful Villa and it's rural surroundings. If we return, we would definitely stay there again. The breakfast was superb.

This hotel must be a well-kept secret. It is charming, personal and luxurious and just a stone's-throw from mxp airport. Our overnight stay before a morning flight back to the U.S. turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The people were wonderful, dining room was divine, and the shuttle to the airport took less than five minutes. It may be a little isolated for a cram-everything-into-one-day tourist headquarters, but it was perfect for us. It would be a good place for business meetings, too.
