The villa itself, the beautiful park around it, the vintage furniture, well, everything
Not renovated, with the smell of the old house.
First of all here is not a hotel, it is a part of a private house... They rent one floor of their home as hotel rooms. The location is not so near to center but it is in a good area of living zone of Florence. If you have car no problem, 10 min to the center.
You have to check-in before 19:00 and Reception closes around 19:30 and you can not find anybody till 08:00 am.
Everything was execellent, would highly recommend to everybody
Brilliant location and helpful friendly people.
We think this is a wonderful hotel, we loved everything in there!! The rooms are comfortable and the people who work there are very nice!! The breakfast in a beautiful kitchen was wonderful!! I think one of the greatest things of the hotel, is the location. If you like to stay very close, but not in the middle of everything, this is the perfect beautiful place to stay!! Thanks for everything.
You can't arrive at any time, because reception is open just in some hours of the day.
Where do I start? We loved everything, the neighborhood, the house, the garden, the views over Florence from our room's windows, the stars at night, the bathroom with the double shower with a bench (great idea when one has been walking for hours), the breakfast in the cozy kitchen, the kind and helpful staff
I really have no complaints.
We liked the fact that the location allowed us privacy that couldn't be obtained in Florence itself. Buses ran frequently and were no hassel.. The staff was extremely helpful and delighted in helping answer our many questions.
- historic charm - good bed - near centre - quiet neigbourhood - very warm welcome - excellent information on restaurants and best sights, drawn for us on the map - private parking - breakfast is inclusive and very nice - free wifi
- it woud be nice if parking was free. It is on their own terrain, so why not?
Located fairly close to the city center, in the classy, green neighborhood south of the river, this is a beautiful little castle with a large renaissance garden and a lot of taste. A highlight of our trip.
The Villa is beautifully furnished, the rooms are large as is the modern bathroom. Very good breakfast, wide range of food on offer. Staff especially Paulo are lovely, very friendly & helpful. We loves the location south of the river near the Boboli gardens.
There was not to like about Villa Bar du.
Nice neighbourhood, friendly staff, good breakfast, good bathroom.
It's a bit strange to put pictures on the booking site of a library and sitting room, while those areas are private. The site calls it a hotel, while it is really a bed and breakfast.
Very helpful staff. Great location. Clean rooms. Excellent Turkish bath - a real treat. Good breakfast. Very quiet.
Nothing not to like about this Villa
Lovely house with a quiet surrounding. 25 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. Great beeakfast, cosy atmosfere. Nice distant view from Florence.
Could be cheaper.
VILLA NARDI IS A++++. LOVED STAYING HERE, ONLY WISH WE WOULD HAVE STAYED LONGER.
Charming place, old fashion but at the same time with wifi, turkish bath. Great!
Congratulations to Andrea and Paola, they are fantastic
Location (15 min. Walking); wifi; renovated bathroom; generally clean.
- The guest area is on the 3th floor. Which was the floor for the servants at the glory days of the palazzo. At the main floors the owners are still living and understandable there is no acces to this areas. But the marketing of Villa Nardi on booking.com is largely based on the pictures which are taken on this floors. - The 3th floor is accessible with a very small lift /elevator restricted just for 2 people or 1 with lagguage. Back in the glory days the space of the elevator was used with a pully technic to transfer "whatever" they wanted. - (very!) poor breakfast; even with cold (out of the fridge) boiled eggs; - noisy when all rooms are sold out. We had a room very near to the elevator. So, each time someone was using it we heard it very clearly in the room. We were also suprised of the TV sound of the room next to our's. It was loud and clear in the middle of the night; - big brother is also watching you!! there are all over camera's at the hotel. That's because there are a lot of old wine bottle's. At the reception there is even a warning: when they caught you steeling a bottle you have to pay € 150.-!! For each bottle :-) So every guest they have is a pottential thief who has to be warned!? Well I could have a suggestion what they can do with those bottles but I'll keep it to myself. - I am 175 cm tall. But the bed (the matras) was a little short to me. The first night I couldn't sleep because of it. - every time you turn around in the bed it is squitching. - the small bed for our child was thin; - I didn't understand why we had to pay for the parking also. I mean realy, why? - at least one more thing. When I opened one the drawers I found a couple of condom's. One of the package's was even used (opened).
A beautiful old villa, with all the original details and interior, combined with brand new luxury bathrooms.
The friendly helpful staff.
This is just a b and b and we must have made a mistake choosing this place from a misguided website. Expected a large garden in which to relax and the garden view from the bedroom was not true unless you stood on tiptoes to look out of the window! Too far out of the centre and needed taxi or bus to get anywhere.
beautiful place, new bathroom, great athmoshere
you need to check the checkin and checkout hours
Great atmosphere, lot of room, well equipped, beautiful building in a charming area, nice breakfast
You have to pay extra for parking in the own garden of the villa
Wonderful location, beautiful garden and breathtaking view from the window. The Hotel greatly fits in the overall climate of Florence.
Nothing, we will definitely come back next year.
Quiet area, nice breakfast, large and elegant bathroom. The staff was kind.
Paper thin walls, we could the elevator moving and people in other rooms.
