The location was excellent, the rooms were fantastic with great panoramic views of the town, sea and surrounding coast. The service was exceptional. A little more rustic and less formal than a hotel but that is exactly what we wanted. Great value for money. Highly recommended!
Claudio our host was cery helpful, he let feel your are at home , the view is breath taking , you just want to sit on the balcony and never leave,
The view. Price. Host
Views Right near Cafe Positano Gorgeous retro decor Friendly and helpful owner
No remote for air conditioner
The price is right for this clean and efficient hotel with a comfortable balcony and amazing view. This was our second trip to Positano and for the price - this hotel is perfect.
Be prepared to walk up several flights of stairs to reach your room. We didn't mind too much, but for someone with difficulty - this isn't a place for you.
The balcony and views were stunning! Host couldn't have been more helpful! Only a relatively short walk to the beach Cafés and restaurants close by Laundromat close by Air conditioning, wifi, big rooms
The room was a good size and clean, it was old decor but this only added to the charm for me. The staff couldn't be more helpful and full of recommendations and suggestions for us
There were quite a lot of stairs about 100 to get from the road to our room, this is certainly not for the faint hearted but I didn't really mind because it fitted with the rest of the Positano charm
This place is super cute and adorable. The room was spacious and tidy. Although the furniture and bathroom looked like something from a time long before us, it was comfy and just right. The old italian man who lives next door was probably the most helpful person we have met in our 7 weeks of travel. He and his family will help you with anything. The wifi was the best, fastest wifi of the trip and the panoramic view from our private balcony was just perfect. I would love to stay here again.
Unfortunately, the stairs were a bit of a hike with 2 large suitcases but they owner and his female collegue are more than happy to help carry. Also, there was no breakfast available but there was a shop around the corner with plenty of cheap DIY breakfast options or there is an endless array of cafe's to chose from.
View was incredible!!
The view is Spectacular! The host is a true gentleman. We wish we could live here.
I absolutely loved staying at Villa Nettuno. The owner Claudio is lovely, he was there to meet us at 11pm for our very late check in. He recommended some great places to eat (Cafe Positano and Casa e Bottega). Loved the decor, it was older but had so much character I wouldn't change it. The VIEW says everything! wow it's truly amazing. We would definitely stay there again.
Great location, quite simple rooms but clean and tidy with great views and owners are friendly and helpful.
Great views, friendly staff, overall a very positive experience.
View from balcony is awesome. Wifi works well. Owner is a sympathic and helpful person.
Bed was very very soft and probably very old. It is bad to the point of giving back pains and making it difficult to fall asleep. Entrance not clearly marked and steps may too many for older people.
Perfect view from french doors and personal balcony. Staff carried up my luggage on her shoulder!! Beautiful hidden entrance with gorgeous plantings along the staircase. Seats to stop along the way. Amazing 300 year old building!
60 steps to the front door from the street and 40 to the second floor room. All of Positano is steps and hills. Be sure to be in shape.
The location was fantastic and the view from the rooms was absolutely incredible! To wake up and see the Mediterranean from the comfort of our bed really made our trip. The owner was so helpful and always happy to spend time discussing anything that we needed. We will definitely return!
From the time I first stepped onto the property, I knew that this place was something special. Met by Claudio ,a true gentleman, I couldn't have wished for anything more. He was so helpful and friendly. Always keen to have a chat, and take an interest in where I had been and what I had done that day. The views from the property must be amongst the best in town if not the best. Big spacious rooms, basic and fitting to the charm of the whole place. Absolutely everything one could wish for. A few steps to climb to get there, but if you don't like that, then don't go to Positano.
Leaving Villa Nettuno and Positano.
location, view, spacious room, friendly and helpful owners!
no jug in room to make cups of tea; however owner was happy to help
The view from our room was insanely amazing! it is truly worth all the steps you take to go up... 100+ which is to be expected in a place like positano. The value of the hotel is seriously amazing. We were able to enjoy our balcony at sunset while sharing a bottle of wine and cheese. Best bang for your buck!
Villa Nettuno accommodation is fairly basic but stands out for the spaciousness of the room and the superb views from the window and the small balcony. A sofa and coffee tables! and chairs on the balcony, added to a comfortable stay. There are nice restaurants and cafés nearby. Our host was a lovely gentleman, who was very welcoming and helpful. It is a beautiful old villa, which I understand is over 300 years old. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the number of steps to climb to get there!
An amazing view and very helpful staff
The place is old, which is part of its charm, but the beds and linen could do with an update
Friendly staff, make you feel welcomed. A small town, so you can get almost anywhere on foot. The view from the room is superb, no less than more expensive hotels and guesthouses.
several flights of steps to get to the main entrance door. Not good for someone with mobility difficulties...
View is great, location is a little away from the centre but a lovely 10 min walk down and you appreciate the climb as all you will probably do is eat! Excellent restaurant across the road (we are both chefs) Il Capitano with a brilliant view as well and so cheap! Look out for the many tourist traps with pictures of their food!!! Host is very helpful and doting and rooms while VERY basic, are clean, comfortable and have all you need. Great deli close by to grab some bread, cheese and meats for breccy. Free wifi, a few free bottles if water and a mini bar fridge as well :(
While I didn't mind, beware the many steps and steep climb to get there especially will lots if luggage!!
The view is amazing
