There is a conference center right next door, and they must have been hosting quite the group the week we were there! Thursday night of our stay, there was a loud party at the center with very loud music until nearly 2 a.m. It was just like the music were playing in our apartment! But otherwise, all was quiet at night (except for the frogs in the pond, but that was lovely!). Also I'd recommend stocking the apartments with basics such as sugar, salt, pepper, and oil.
Villa Opera is a gorgeous agriturismo in a bucolic and stunning location just outside Volterra. It has a beautiful pool, and our apartment was well-appointed and comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for cooking our own meals, and it was adorably decorated. It had just about everything you would need, and Vincent, the man running the whole place, gave us a sample of their olive oil and wine. There is a good grocery store nearby to pick up essentials. It was a great way to be greeted. There are grills you can use to dine alfresco, and there's lots of space for outdoor eating and relaxing. The location is great for exploring Tuscany by car, and you can't beat the sunset views over the valley. Just amazing!
