Villa Poggio Al Vento B&B

We loved this place - an old house, which had been in the same family for over 150 years, and filled with wonderful old furniture, paintings and other objects, all with memories. The bedroom, with its gothic windows and shutters was unbelievably beautiful - we could not believe we were staying in such a place, and the views from the windows were enchanting - hills with olives and cypresses, terraced slopes, old farm houses. The bathroom was large and had everything one could need. Everything about this place is beautiful and authentic - the house and its furniture, the garden, surrounding countryside, and we loved the fact that is was eco-friendly. The owner provided the most fantastic breakfasts - everything home-made and organic, and a huge range, served in an atmospheric old family dining room. The owner spoke perfect English and was as helpful as it was possible to be, even booking a table for us at a local restaurant, and providing excellent advice on travel to Florence (very easy from this venue - a short drive to the very frequent trams where there is free parking and a 25 minute ride into the heart of the city) and good places to visit. It was a delight to return to the house and its peace and beauty at the end of a busy day sightseeing. We really did not want to leave, and would have loved to have been able to stay longer. We cannot recommend it highly enough, and cannot imagine there are many other places which offer such extra value.

Poggio Al Vento is a true paradise close to Firenze. Excellent connection to Firenze center from central tramstation in Scandicci; a 15 minute walk from the villa. Beautiful countryside and with a car you can easily reach any city or village in Toscane. The villa is very spacious and the rooms are too. Every morning tasteful organic breakfast, a magnificent view, and a very heartwarming host. All ingredients for a return trip in the future.

Great people, Riccardo was really awesome and also got me a bike to ride around the local villages, was fun for the family to stay out of town as well. Family really enjoyed staying there and was a highlight of our Italy trip.

The road works made the Google directions a little out but was not really an issue to get there.

Hidden in the beautiful hills around Firenze, the Poggio al Vento is situated amidst olive groves and vineyards. A picture out of a magazine, where you cannot imagine you'll have a chance to look inside. A villa filled with "old and new" memories, a warm soul, good vibrations, lovely furniture, an impressive library, all of this makes you feel at ease. Every day, after a countryside trip, you long to go "home". The warm family was always nearby when needed, providing very useful information and tips. Le caractère de l'habitation et de la chambre. L'accueil de l'hôte. Le calme et la campagne. La proximité de Florence et la facilité pour y accéder.

Неуютная комната, слишком темно, холодно, постель синтетика, завтрак очень стандартный для Италии. Но самое убивающее - потеряли на поиск с навигаторами час времени. Ночю, думаю - практически не реально найти данный дом.

Affascinante B&B, circondato da uliveti, sulla collina sopra Scandicci. La casa risale all'800, le stanze sono eccezionalmente ampie ed accoglienti, con un fascino marcato. Abbiamo ricevuto un'accoglienza precisa e discreta, trovando grande disponibilità ed attenzione. Per arrivare in centro meglio prendere il tram, raggiungibile in 5 minuti di macchina (fermate De Andre' o Resistenza).

I servizi sono al piano, ma considerata l'atmosfera di altri tempi e la pulizia della struttura, non è considerare un difetto.

La gentilzza ed il calore del proprietario. Il fascino di una grande villa di campagna con 2 secoli di storia.

L'opportunité de partager pendant quelques jours une vraie maison de famille, ancienne, meublée d'époque, on s'y sent vraiment bien. Les chambres sont très spacieuses, les sanitaires très propres et nous avons surtout apprécié la gentillesse et la sensibilité des hôtes. et quel petit-déjeuner ! tous les produits sont bio et au menu vous aurez la chance de déguster du pain maison (un pur délice) pâtisseries-maison, oeuf, fromage du terroir, fruits (raisins de la propriété), yaourt, miel, biscuits etc... avec sourire et attention permanents ! Tout ici est valeur, honnêteté et fierté de traiter la nature comme elle se doit. Cerise sur le gâteau, à quelques minutes en voiture du gîte, vous prendrez le tramvia pour Florence (gare) (plus ou moins 20 mintures de trajet).

Me ha gustado la originalidad de las habitaciones y el servicio ofrecido. Estaba limpio y su manager muy atento.

Es un poco complicado de encontrar (sobretodo ahora que estan en obras en la carretera), hay muchos mosquitos y queda un poco apartado de todo.

Le prix ; le style et l'ameublement ancien de la maison; l'accueil avec des attentions; le petit-déjeuner, copieux et varié avec des produits régionaux; la possibilité d'avoir notre chien avec nous; la possibilité de pouvoir utiliser la cuisine pour ne pas toujours prendre les repas à l'extérieur; le fait que les propriétaires habitent sur place, mais pas dans la maison même = présence parfois invisible mais discrète et efficace; les prestations de la salle de bains; l'accès à la cuisine, la bibliothèque, la salle à manger, à toutes les parties communes, ce qui fait qu'on se sent libre et comme à la maison, en fin de compte. La situation géographique par rapport à Florence; la proximité du tramway et d'un parking pour laisser la voiture et aller à Florence en 15/20mn et revenir très facilement, même tard.

Rien de bien méchant, des détails... Les conditions d'accès pour la 1ère fois sont compliquées et peut-être pas tout à fait assez bien expliquées par le propriétaire...; les aboiements la nuit d’un chien alentour quand on dort mal, on l’entend...beaucoup; le manque d'une piscine. Ce dernier point ne va sans doute pas avec la philosophie du propriétaire, plutôt protecteur de l'environnement, ce qui se conçoit aisément, mais serait appréciable et détendant par les 40°....

Très bon accueil, gentillesse et charme de cette chambre d'hôtes, ambiance familiale et simple. Lieu authentique Très pratique pour visiter Florence, grâce au tramway à Scandicci. A recommander.

La dimora è veramente affascinante, con elementi autentici, dai mobili ai letti alle porte. Immersa in un giardino pieno di alberi. I proprietari sono molto gentili. Colazione ottima e ricca.

Purtroppo sono rimasta delusa dalla posizione, in teoria in aperta campagna ma in pratica sopra l'autostrada: la notte non si dorme per il rumore dei tir. Inoltre, pur comprendendo la scelta, non essendoci aria condizionata nelle camere, nel tardo pomeriggio la stamza era un forno. L'accesso dal parcheggio è piuttosto dimesso, con vecchi mobili abbandonati all'aperto. Peccato.

Posto unico, affascinante, accogliente. Riccardo è di una gentilezza e disponibilità rara. Ottimo per visitare Firenze, grazie alla linea del tram da Scandicci. Ci torneremo

Loved this property. Ricardo was a wonderful host who provides an excellent breakfast and advice in relation to the local area. We stayed in the room in the tower which we loved. Would definately stay at this property again.

Il posto è grazioso le persone che lo gestiscono discretamente disponibili. Un pò di confusione all'esterno con poca cura delle parti verdi ( giardino ). Rumore provocato dal passaggio di auto troppo vicino alla camera da me occupata. Mancanza di aria condizionata e di tv in camera, visto il costo al giorno. Questi servizi di solito si trovano anche in posti meno cari. Per finire il mio giudizio non è tra I migliori dati.
