Hotel Plaza is in the heart of Salerno, right across from the train station, and close to the bus terminal and the pretty seafront promenade. A breakfast buffet is included in the room price.
Score from 488 reviews Very good
Set on the cliffs of Vietri sul Mare, La Lucertola offers modern rooms with balconies overlooking the Gulf of Salerno. Completely renovated, it features a private beach with bar.
Score from 224 reviews Good
Hotel Amalfi has a great location in the center of Amalfi, just a few yards from Saint Andrew's Cathedral. It features a peaceful yard with citrus fruit trees.
Score from 183 reviews Very good
Novotel Salerno Est Arechi is in a great location on the seafront, near the Arechi Stadium. It features a pool, a fitness center and an excellent restaurant. Parking is free.

Staff were all friendly and welcoming - extremely helpful and great location to explore Naples, Pompeii and the Amalfi coast!
The location was a bit the out of the main town but easily accessed by car! The view at night fr the balcony is great! The hotel is spotlessly clean , it's a bit on the worn side; could use a little Reno! The breakfast room and pool area are nice ! The city of Salerno has amazing shopping!!!!
At breakfast there was a lack of fresh fruit, this seems typical and strange considering the beautiful peaches, plums etc in season! Also the coffee is from a machine that gives u a little plastic cup! They had a cappuccino maker but I guess this is easier! Make sure to get your coffee before 1030 as it shuts off!!
Staff were very helpful & friendly. Large room. Great view. Free carspace.
Location is good for a vehicle as most things are too far to walk to.
Good size bedroom with panoramic view and an amazing bathroom
Thought it a bit strange to carry out pool maintenance in the middle of the holiday period
Lovely position, great views and nicely decorated room
Very hard to find,
The location was great and the room far exceeded my expectation. It was modern but still comfortable.
Super Service-orientated staff! The "Boss", Tristan is more than helpful for everything, he gave us a lift to the harbour and guided us with his motorcycle to a phantastic restaurant which he has recommended. All other of the staff are more than friendly and helpful as well. Thanks to them all! Andreas
Everything was perfect, no complaints at all! :)
The hotel inside was beautiful, very comfortable. Sea view from the room.
Booked as a hotel, but only had facilities of bed and breakfast. Pool looked lovely, but full of leaves and no safety, so unusable.
The staff were very helpful and the hotel was like walking into someone's home, very inviting. It was quite a relaxing place to stay.
The hand held shower had no wall holder to put it in when you wanted to use your hands to say, wash your hair. I thought this to be not good considering the high standards throughout the hotel.
The location is stunning. The hotel itself is lovely.
The receptionist gave the lie to the name of Maison de Charme. We had the impression to disturb. The bathtub in my room was grimy, the floor dirty. In another bathroom the rubbish bin had not been emptied. At breakfast we were informed that the buffet was included in the price, but not the coffee. It seems a little mean, considering that coffee is usually breakfast in Italy. Tea was free of charge however. Very odd and unfriendly. We stayed there off season, so perhaps in the high season it's better.
excellent spot with wonderful view of the city Excellent decoration
Good view, nice hotel
We loved the decor in the hotel, it is very stylish. The hotel doesn't look much from the outside as you approach it, it's on a corner of a bend a little difficult to find, but once there it lives up to its name. It is a family run hotel, but most staff didn't speak much English, except Anna who was a young lady working there spoke English very well, was lovely and very helpful. The pool area is great and has nice sun beds, we virtually had the pool to ourselves and the beds which was great! The pool was not heated so was very cold on entry! The hotel had a kitten called Leo who was three months old and very sweet, had lots of cuddles with him. Breakfast was on the terrace and lovely, sometimes there wasn't hot water etc but they would always get it for you when you asked. There are lots of steps down to the town, which we used frequently and an escalator back up the hill but closed at half nine! So, beware its the steps back up the hill, which we did a lot. Good exercise, but very tough!!!! Car parking in hotel grounds so all good. Overall hotel was great would recommend to other people.
The hotel could do with making the partitions between each room on the balcony more secure and private!! There are trellises there at the moment so if you go on the balcony both rooms either side can see everything. We would have liked to sit out there as there were table and chairs but felt we couldn't as people in the next room were on theirs and it wasn't private at all. Also you could see clearly into the other room when on the balcony. Spoilt it for us. Please make a slight alteration and this hotel is fabulous. The only other thing was we did feel like we were being a nuisance when we wanted a drink from the very limited bar. Yes it's a B&B but when you are round the pool and its hot you need to have plenty of fluid not necessarily alcohol!!
Room was comfortable and clean with a large balcony/terrace with sea view, very comfortable bed and reasonably closed to the city centre. Free parking. Good breakfast and lovely pool. Good internet access in the room.
The designer shower which had a glass door with no seal leaked onto the floor every times you had a shower.

Parking was difficult The AC didn't work too well Address does not match up with GPS
Nice Hotel and renovated
very poor breakfast for such an expensive stay and luxurious place, and some staff members really not trained, actually of the night shift
Fantastic view, I really enjoyed this place a bit different, staff friendly and helpful, good for families and couple, very charming,
I liked it here.
Clean room and nice view from tarasse.
Hotel is so far away from city and lose to noisy street. There is no possibility to get to the city(only by taxi or car).
Absolutely lovely staff! They were exceptional. Very interested and concerned with taking care of any need, so helpful. Was rushing out and Anna insisted I take something for breakfast before boarding ferry. The gentlemen hat checked me in went out of his way to help. He knew I needed a ferry and printed out the schedule, without asking, amazing! They made me feel welcome. The hotel is gorgeous! Just beautiful. The view is stunning.
Beautiful location with water views. Peaceful. Easy access to main part of Salerno, down 266 stairs. Not always too bad coming up as there is an elevator part way with limited hours of service.
