La stanza prenotata (suite) nn corrispondeva a quanto descritto nell'offerta proposta. La stanza che mi è stata assegnata aveva il pavimento rotto, nn c'era il balcone, c'era un buco nel muro, c'erano segni sulle mura, nn c'era l'idromasaggio, la televisione nn funzionava e il condizionatore era rumoroso. (Ho fatto un video a testimonianza di tutto ciò). Credo fosse una stanza da ristrutturare. Cmq il personale si è immedesimato e sono stati comprensivi di fronte alle mie remore e mi è stato regalato un soggiorno con pernottamento nel mese di aprile a mia scelta nella suite che avevo scelto. No, di Villa Posiedon abbiamo un buon ricordo e potremo tornare per vedere le bellissime luminarie di Natale e per gli acquisti nel "Centro storico" della citta" che ha bei negozi, di qualita', e con buone occasioni di acquisto. Epposi si mangia bene, dappertutto!

Villa Poseidone e molto elegante,inoltre abbiamo trovato il titolare della struttura una persona molto disponibile assieme al responsabile di sala angelo

albergo elegante, con piscina e vista panoramica sul golfo di salerno, che apre l'ospite alle bellezze della costiera amalfitana. Squisite marmellate dello chef a colazione. Da consigliare

-Noise (it was a party from 7pm till 1 am, noisy so that we were forced to move from sea view room to the opposite w/o any compensation). -No diner or launch, you have to go downtown.

Short taxi ride from the train station. Beautiful views from the hotel. Friendly staff. Dedicated walking path with escalator town to the town area. The place was nice and quiet. I liked the breakfast.

For anyone with restricted mobility, it might be a bit of a walk down to the town down and back up some steps.

Impossible to find. A long way from Brindisi. Had to follow a taxi to find the place, which cost a further 50 euros. The standard room was not in the main building and was very basic, the bed was terrible.

1. Great outlook over the Mediterranean. 2. Ideal indoor and outdoor dining areas. 3. Room sizes and general comfort. 4. Angelo (maitre de) is most helpful and is the only staff member with English. 5. Breakfasts were good.

1. Location is approx. 2 kilometers from downtown so a car is essential. 2. Restaurant not available for dinner on 2 of the 5 nights we were there. Car issue again.

The hotel and gardens were stunning. It was a comfortable stay with lots of ambiance. Very friendly staff and secure hotel with beautiful pool and dining room.

The staff were amazing, especially the receptionist - a lovely lady who I think is from Germany originally, and the Maitre'd Angelo - so kind, helpful and charming. We were also very impressed with the lady who served us breakfast. The rooms were beautiful - loved the linen. Very bright, clean and well decorated. Bathrooms were very well furnished, large and clean. Loved the breakfast area and the inside sitting room for drinks after dinner. The hotel has a really lovely, family feel. All the food was absolutely delicious.

Although being situated high up on a cliff means that the views are stunning, the walk into town was too steep for the older guests who were in my party. I would suggest keeping the lift open throughout the day.

One thing that struck me almost immediately was the cleanliness. There was not one speck of dust . And it was clear that they worked very hard on that aspect as there was a group of staff members who were constantly cleaning. Along with that goes much attention to detail in design and treatment of customers. It is in a lovely location, high above the city with views of the harbor and coastal areas. The staff was made of friendly and helpful people. Breakfast was a very good European type of buffet set out on a lovely veranda. Rooms were comfortable, spacious and modern.

The location is good and bad. Good for views but bad for getting around. You either need to use taxis or be prepared to walk and climb. However, there are outdoor escalators nearby which are helpful. Another downside aspect comes from the fact that it is a very small hotel which derives much of its revenue from events such as meetings, weddings, etc. That means that when there is an event it can reduce certain services to the hotel guests. For instance, while we were there we could not use the pool one entire afternoon on a beautiful sunny day due to an afternoon party. And on another morning, breakfast had to be inside (which was still very nice) as they were setting up for a big party on the outside veranda.

We loved everything! It was beautifully kept, lovely clean pool, attractive gardens, attentive staff, excellent breakfast, even though we were usually last down. The bathroom was huge and very stylish. As for the glass doors which I did have some reservations about given we had a 13 yr old boy with us were not a problem at all due to the size of the room. Staff went out of their way to help us print our emailed train ticket which we were having problems receiving. The hotel was empty in the day and we were the only ones using the pool. Although it is outside the centre it only took us 15 mins to get in to town as there is a back way down lots of steps (thankfully up by escalator though! Does close at 10.00 pm). It did feel a little unnerving waiting to be let in at the back door but it really was not a problem and the dogs mentioned in other reviews were very friendly and just wagged their tails. It was an excellent base for both the Amalfi coast and Pompei etc, we used the buses a lot too (tickets from the ticket shop on the main road into town) and didn't find it a problem not having a car. We would definitely stay again if we go back to this area.

As we had a triple room we didn't have a balcony (I think) as we had the extra space in the room. We'll make sure we leave our son at home next time!

We liked especially the location and the lush garden. Also the food was excellent.

The villa, and are holiday was fantastic friendly staff, service was attentive but not intrusive, chief cooked some of the best food I've ever tasted, really superb. I felt extremely comfortable and totally relaxed, the only one fault was we couldn't stay longer! Maybe we can return next year.

Just a few metres down from the main road, though it has to be said that noise from the road was surprisingly little. It is a dreadfully long way down the steps on foot to the old town of Salerno - for the way back, there is a suite of 3 long escalators to help (closed at 22h so beware!). There is still a very steep set of exhausting steps to negotiate after the escalators, however ... The hotel was virtually deserted - but perhaps this was a plus point!

Poor location to visit town. Impossible to get home from town as there are few taxis available. Beware...

Hotel was verry nice and has a great view. Rooms are clean and have a great sea-view. Staff was verry nice en showed us the local lemons en herbs. Our stay was verry pleasant, location is also verry nice if you want to avoid the busy centre.

All rooms in the hotel have balconies with sea views. We had the cheapest room and it was really clean (apart from the tiles on the shower flower) and a decent size. The hotel also has a swimming pool, which was something we wanted in the July heat. The whole place was nicely decorated and most of the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome.

We found the owners to be unwelcoming and unfriendly. We got up early one morning to make the first boat to Capri, only to find that the time for breakfast stated on information in our room was not correct. We had to wait around 1/2 hour until the owner, in her dressing gown, 'faffed around' and eventually got a few bits and pieces together on the breakfast buffet. We could have been invisible as she didn't acknowledge us either then or at any point during our 3 night stay. The hotel was very quiet, which we felt was down to a lack of promotion - both to new business and to existing guests (evening meals etc). The hotel is also on a treacherous bend in the road - it was easy to get in, but quite harrowing to get out of the driveway and back on the road again. A mirror on the other side of the road would have let us see what was about to come round the corner.

The welcome was warm and the staff were excelent and very helpful. A gem of a hotel !

Excellent hotel with great view and excellent facilities Very pleasant stay.Prepared a wonderful lunch especially for us.

Unfortunately no other guests staying there (and we can't work out why) so it lacked a bit of atmosphere.
