Very clean house. Good location.
All was fine.
Location was good as it was only 10 min's away from the centre of Sorrento and you got a lot more for your money by walking that little bit further. Obviously if it had been in the centre it would have been excellent but as a weight up and needing the kitchen and dining area for my young family it was a no brainer.
Reasonable walking distance from railway station.
No one at reception for 45 minutes when arriving at 2pm to check in. Owner finally arrived with 'apology' of "Well, a man has to eat sometime". Cooking facilities inadequate and frypan was so corroded to be deemed unhealthy to cook with. Saucepan was blackened, so also not usable. Owner not available to ask to have these replaced, so managed to borrow frypan from cupboard in bbq area to cook in. Fridge was unreliable and kept turning off. . Beds hard - not comfortable. Generally, only the barest of necessities were made available. Noise from music bar opposite was intrusive. Also, noise from other guests' rooms. Felt unwelcome, as if we were intruding on owner's comfort Would not recommend this to anyone. Compared with other accommodation we stayed at throughout Italy, this was the worst.
Off street parking. Clean, spacious rooms and ensuite. Fridge and kitchenette. 10min walk to centre either along the coast or main road, Corso Italia.
We had 2 rooms for 3 nights. The staff are non-existent! Reception was unattended when we arrived but I saw our booking confirmation on the desk with the room numbers allocated. The corresponding room keys were next to the booking sheet so we proceeded to unpack and check ourselves in! A football match was underway across the road which also meant the road was closed off, but we managed to get through by explaining to the police officers. We were eventually checked in by a person (I missed her name) who said she was the cleaner. We then didn't see another person for 2.5 days. Our rooms were not attended to for 2 days and we couldn't find anyone to get the usual supplies such as toilet paper. We supplied our own. We met the manager on our third day. Considering he lives in one of the rooms, it was baffling to understand the lack of service. The breakfast is pre-packaged croissant with jam or nutella placed in a basket in the room. We supplied our own breakfast - muesli and fresh milk. The wi-fi is intermittent. In Room 2, it dropped out completely. Room 1 had stronger reception, but still irregular. The place presents well but does not operate well.
The cleaning lady was lovely and tried to help us out.
Not very close to the town. The owner was rude and spoke no English except when we had to pay. The toilet stopped working. There was no hot water for three nights. The wifi was only available if you stood outside. Breakfast was some stale packets of bread. When we approached the owner with the problems he said "it's a problem" but did nothing about it. It is next to a soccer stadium and a music bar and the noise from both will keep you awake all night- that's if you can sleep when the room is cold and the air conditioner doesn't work either!!! DON'T stay here unless it's your last resort. We left a day early it was so bad and couldn't get our money refunded but it was better than staying there another night.
Easy for train station and town shops & restaurants
Loud bar across the street.
The room was clean and we had lots of room, the kitchen was practical and was nicely equipped. Overall good stay.
The staff was never there! We try to check-in at 9pm and no one was there, we rang the door for half and hour finally we saw some keys and just went into the room. The next days were in the same they weren't available. But besides that Hotel was nice!
