Like that the staff, Sara, was very professional, cooperative and helpful in moving us to a better room. The first room was quite dirty--carpets and walls. The next room was a great improvement. We could not get wifi in our initial 3rd floor room, but we're able to in our next 1st floor room. Breakfast was good, with much enthusiasm for the fresh squeezed orange juice. Once we figured out the trains we were able to get around and enjoy our stay in Rome!
The very stained carpet and walls of our initial 3rd floor room. Would not recommend the restaurant for dinner.
Very close to the trainstation in Trastevere, Good breakfast, a nice but very short stay (only one night). Good with 24 hr reception since we arrived late in the evening.
I don't think we would've picked this place for a longer stay. It was good, but lacked that little "extra" you want for your holiday.
The rooms were clean. The breakfast was fair, specially with the machine for natural orange juice. The long lady in the reception was so friendly. The hotel were near the train and tram station.
The staff could be more friendly. The room could have a view but that was totally covered. and the emergency stairs were exactly in front of our room's window and all the time some people were sitting there smoking and talking. The bathroom had the problem of water, after 15 minutes showering the water stopped going down! The quality of coffee of breakfast was horrible.
Staff was friendly
Our room AC was not working. It was very hot and they were unable to get it repaired. They have offered us changing of room but we did not like other room being offered.
Price vs. quality = good, breakfast was nice, we loved the fresh orange Juice!!
The location - quite far away from the city centre and no good bus, tram or subway connections after 11 p.m.
We stayed at Villa Rosa in the beggining of June. Its clean, near traffic routes that you can take tram or train to many destinations including city center. It's so easy to get to the city center. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast is good and the fresh orange juice was very nice. The A/C was working and provided a chill room to rest and sleep in.
I didn't like that there was not a small refrigerator in the room to keep water or other things cool. The district near the hotel maybe feel a little scary but we didn't have any incident.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good.
We were booked into a sister hotel around the corner which had no reception and didn't feel very safe at first.
Great staff and absolutely great for its price!! We felt very welcomed and I would go there any time again. Close to the nicer and younger part of town and also super close to the Trastevere railroad station (train to airport stops there). If you are looking for a budget hotel? This is it! Have fun and say hello to the nice staff from me:)
Close to Trastevere Station, but unless arriving by car or taxi, you need to haul your luggage up a long staircase from the Circonvallazione Gianicolense street level to get to the hotel, which is very inconvenient.
The room smelled of old cigarette smoke, the shower in the bathroom was missing a door panel, and carpets and walls were dirty. Hotel rooms need an update and renovation.
The lady works in the reception is extremely friendly. The location is good, near the no.8 tram and train station. Breakfast is nice.
Paid meals cooked by the hotel reataurant is not very good. Think twice if you want to have meals in the hotel. Without wifi, wifi signal is not strong.
very helpfull front desk lady and personnel, room was very clean, new sheets and towels, breakfast was excellent, fresh fruits and orange juice, hot croissants and sandwiches. Tram station at 3 min from location goes directly to city center in 15 min ( tram no 8).Great price/quality service.
Not being able to have a late check in; extra charge was required. No wifi in the rooms, extra charge is needed.
fresh fruits at breakfast kind hotel workers. bathroom is large and clean.
need to use tram or bus to go city center, it takes nearly 20 minutes. there is no minibar in rooms.
Good location for tourists - all city transportation in close proximity, very polite and helpful young lady at the desk
Uncomfortable beds, unbelievably rude male staff
Price, facilities and comfort matched
The hotel could need a little makeover. We were there 2 years ago and some things are still the same, as fx the carpet in the stairway. It is worn down, with holes in it. The stairway down to the street could need some sweeping/ cleaning. It seems like a bad wellcome to the hotel.
Staff we're very friendly and helpful and arranged for us to have a quieter room the second night. Though not right in the centre transport was easy and frequent. Although the accommodation is on the basic side, rooms were clean and good value for a short visit especially as breakfast is included and very good.
Public areas in the hotel are rather the worse for wear and some rooms facing the main road are noisy.
Old carpet and general room decor
Horrible staff, upon arrival the receptionist handed me full page of contract in Italian, then when I questioned what it said he said it was an embarrassment that someone with Italian passport can't read Italian (I'm fully bilingual in English and Spanish) then went on to say I bet you didn't understand what I just said either, ironically I did. the whole room was shaking when the trains went past, didnt sleep, when asked to change the room the reception said to come back in the afternoon, then when I went back, the other receptionist said room changes only possible in the morning?! Then he went on to call the morning staff and handed me the phone! Very rude staff, dirty sheets, bed bugs or flees in them. I left the hotel and changed because was disgusting and had been bitten on my legs. When I was leaving he said he would only refund 40 euros of the 200 I had paid the day before due to cancellation policy, also said would only refund the city tax with receipt that was in the room so he said well go and get it! I grabbed the money and left, said get it yourself. Really dire staff, I wouldn't ever stay here again, it's miles away from city, in a rough area.
The breakfast was great! There was a great buffet! It also had a restaurant with very reasonable prices but we never visited it as we preferred to dine in the city centre. It had good transport links as it was close to the tram, bus and overground train station.
The beds were all squashed up next to eachother and one of the matresses was extremely uncomfortable. It was quite hard to find, slightly hidden. The wifi was around 5euro an hour which was rather surprising as many hotels nowadays have free wifi. It wasn't in the liveliest part of Rome, so we sometimes felt uneasy at night time when walking to the hotel.
The staff is excelent! Good breakfest too!
Unbelievably good value, friendly staff, air conditioning, comfy beds, clean room
Some of hotel looks a little tired, to be expected at this price. Location a little ugly and out of town, but rome out of the centre tends to be ugly
- Room was clean and had also been quite recently renovated - First I got a room without air conditioning, but after asking, received another room with air conditioning
- Internet would have been expensive
The breakfast was tasty, lobby and patio was nice. Staff was friendly
The rooms were small, no fridge, beds were not very comfortable.
Price for 4 people. Very friendly staff.
Location - not close to anything of interest in Rome. Accommodations - sold as a quad, but beds were next to each other with no space between them.
