Villa San Filippo  

Beautiful hotel in a breathtaking location on the middle of Tuscany.

Beds are quite small and breakfast is very poor.

Authentic hotel, nice view, out of the city.

In two words: very disappointing. We got a room on the first floor, next to a noisy room. only simple wood door was separating between the two rooms. we heard everything from the other side. (usually its a 6 people room) Only after more than an hour - they gave us another room. it was after 9 pm. The breakfast is very simple. from a fancy 4 star hotel you shold expect just a little bit more (we stayed at 10 different hotels in Italy during our vacation 2,3,4 star hotels - so we know what to compare to). The price is too high. later on we found some great places in Tuscany area that were more value for the money

Great location for day trips into the Tuscan area from about 30 km outside Florence. Wonderful hotel with great views, very relaxing. We stayed three nights in room 39, one of the highest rooms in the hotel, (older couples would have difficulty with the staircase in this room, a bit of a loft) bed was comfortable, bathroom was excellent, no fridge/or safe. Very safe environment. Had dinner twice at hotel, disappointed that two items on menu were not available over two days, however the items we chose were excellent. Local village (Barberino val d'elsa) offers three restaurants which all looked good but we did not have time to try. Towels for pool should be included but aren't, we had our own anyway,pool was great after a long day. All staff are all excellent and try their best to accommodate. The village has a small grocery shop for wine, cheese, olives and whatever else you need. Overall we had an excellent time and would go back.

Moeilijk te vinden, geen aanduidingen langs de weg. Straat staat niet op GPS, moesten dus telefoneren om te weten waar het was.

Siamo rimasti colpiti dalla grandiosità della struttura.E infinitamente più imponente di quanto le immagini possano mostrare.Svegliarsi al matino con quel panorama pazzesco,che domina tutta la valle,è puro zen.Per non parlare delle piscine panoramiche,dello comfort dei apartamenti e della buona cucina.Ritorneremo a giugno e anche ad agosto,perchè ci siamo innamorati di questa villa.

L'hotel est idealement situé entre Siene et Florence.

Le personnel est incompétent, la propreté inexistante, l'hygiène est douteuse (produits frais du petit déjeuner exposés en pleine chaleur sans refrigération), les serviettes de bain sont facturées 5 Euros, il faut éviter le restaurant, le wifi marche de façon aléatoire, le mobilier est sans style et dépareillé, dommage car la bâtisse est magnifique. On se demande encore comment Booking a attribué 4 étoiles à cet établissement !!

L'hôtel est confortable et le personnel aimable. Idéal pour des vacances en famille. Le cadre est typique de la Toscane et la vue sur la campagne Toscane est magnifique. Le restaurant propose des plats typiques et la cuisine est juste bonne sans plus. Pour manger plus sympa ou varié, ne pas hésiter à se rendre à Barberino Val D'Elsa (5min), Tavernelle Val di Pesa (10 min) ou à San Gimignano (25 min). Une voiture est absolument nécessaire. Nous recommandons de prendre plutôt une chambre supérieure avec Kitchenette.

Chambre correspondant à la description sur ce site. La chambre était très propre. Parking aisé. Piscine agréable avec une très belle vue. Situation géopgraphique impeccable lorsque l'on désire visiter Florence, Sienne, San Gimigniano ou encore Volterra. L'hotesse d'accueil parle un petit peu le français et bien l'anglais.

Petit déjeuner pas à la hauteur de tout le reste de l'hotel. Parfois la piscine et surpeuplée.
