Beautiful location, stunning views. Lovely pools and terrace areas.

Clearly built to be a luxury hotel, it's now shabby and seemingly run on a shoestring. Everything's worn out - from towels to fruit juice machine. And the food in the (beautiful) restaurant shockingly bad. A shame.

San Filippo is placed very beautifully with fantastic wiev but nobody seems to care about the place, everything looks tired: pools, terrazes, flowers, breakfastbuffet, dinner and staff.

The location was absolutely stunning. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was good although restaurant food could have been warmer.

Area around pool badly needs updating, loungers not very comfortable. Breakfast room was dowdy.

    - The staff were very friendly and helpful - The location, position, views and facilities are excellent - Good breakfast layout but be early for best choice! - Great central location for Florence, Pisa, Siena and Chianti areas

    - WiFi only really usable in public areas downstairs - Airco a bit fiddly to use and noisy at night

    Location and staff

Kitchen was very poorly equipped. For example, only one wine glass and kettle that would not fit into power socket even with adapter provided.

The stunning location with easy driving access to nearby Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra. I hired a car from Florence and it took about an hour to reach the villa and it is easy to find. The staff were very helpful. Great breakfast and evening meals with 4 courses. Very quiet and peaceful. Nice swimming pool available.

    Nothing I didn't like.

We booked a superior double room was really spacious with a lounge and kitchen area, big bedroom and really comfortable bed. The breakfast was adequate and evening meals really good local food, Excellent help from receptionist and waiter Roberto to find our way around the fantastic countryside. The views of the countryside were spectacular and the location really peacefull, Hotel itself very quiet, informal and relaxing.

Bar stock limited (no tonic water). Wine not by the glass, only by the bottle. Only limited view from our room.

Comfortable, pleasant hotel in great location. Good breakfasts. Informal

Restaurant not open until April 25th. Very inconvenient as little else available locally. We struggled to get something to eat after arriving at 9.30pm. Hotel seemed to be very quiet and run by skeleton staff (who were good)

The view was gorgeous. Liked the pool as well

It was very hot in the room. The air conditioner was not working really well. The toilet seat was very high as well
