The green surroundings, the quitness-almost no traffic, inner garden, views from upper floors
Large comfortable room for 3 Quiet neighborhood Lovely grounds Great breakfast Attentive staff
Staff very willing to accommodate
The staff were so attentive. Lovely surroundings.
The breakfast, service, the location was quiet and the bed was large and firm.
The room and bathroom was not as accommodating as the previous time we had stayed over ten years ago (in a different block); location although quiet was not in the heart of things.
Everything. Marvellous breakfasts, excellent staff. Great location. Can't give it high enough praise
One minus, the beds are very, very hard, perhaps one could be offered a soft mattress topper for those who want a little padding.
Home from home - comfortable bed, v nice bedroom wi AC, Italian decor, marble bathrooms, lovely breakfast area both indoors and outdoors, warm friendly service at all times, smiling and humorous staff...
Setting, breakfasts, large rooms with good facilities
- air conditioning was ineffectual - location is a little bit out of town if you're looking for a down-town location (but if you want quiet in a classy neighbourhood, this is it)
Old villa, quiet location, friendly staff
The staff were very friendly and the quality of the rooms were great. It was good value for money especially since breakfast was included.
It was a bit far from the public transport links but the suburb is so nice you don't mind walking.
A lovely hotel in a quiet, residential area of Rome. It is close to the historic centre and Trastevere for nightlife.
If you're a woman travelling alone (as I was), it is quite a long walk down fairly dark and quiet streets back each night. The neighborhood felt safe, but was very lonely at night.
I like the quiet, green garden where you had breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was fresh, good and the hours were ideal. I also liked the computer with the printer - I could print out my boarding passes myself. Lots of places to sit outside and an easy walk to the Metro, hop on hop off bus and the Coliseum. The front desk (the next morning) was helpful with organizing hop on, hop off bus.
I stayed there for three days - not once did a staff member at breakfast time ask if I wanted coffee or tea (while they offered tea or coffee for other guests at breakfast). No one even noticed I was there. I felt ignored as a solo traveler staying there. When I checked in, the desk person barely acknowledged me. She was too busy listening to a conversation some staff was having behind her. She looked bored and unhappy. She gave me the room key and it didn't even work! Thank goodness the bell hop was there with me and he returned it and gave me a new one.
The staff were excellent! The grounds, room and atmosphere were an oasis away from main road as more residential high end neighbourhood but very close to everything. The Italians are by far the most helpful and friendly to tourists. I will return to this hotel! :)
Internet server a little weak but fine in lobby
the breakfast and the location
the smell in the bathroom and horrible tv
great location, staff
the room was based on assumptions the original old staff room/ garden house. for economical value you should pay less
The hotel not only has beautiful gardens but the area itself is surrounded by picturesque parks and beautiful grand houses. It's a calm and peaceful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the centre. The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly and the buffet breakfast was delicious. A tiny bit out of the way if you're not used to walking but for us it was not an issue.
Beakfast is all you can eat. Staff is extremly friendly. Location is ok (close to circo massimo metro station - 5-10 min walking).
WIFI in the rooms not really working.
This was a beautiful hotel, starting from reception, the gardens and the rooms. The breakfast was great and included cooked items. The neighborhood where it is located is very cozy, safe and quiet, but still a 15 minute walk away from the Colosseum.
The safe box in one of our rooms didn't work on the first night we arrived, but was fixed for the second day.
Loved the room, breakfast was fantastic and the best thing was the rooms were comfortable and well priced.
Outside breakfast area was beautiful. Quiet aircon. Lovely balcony and views. Staff very helpful and polite. Despite being a 3* breakfast was fine and rooms clean and functional. Very reasonable price.
Frendly and nice staff, good location, beautiful garden, free parking. Everything was great :-)
I stayed here 6 years ago and loved it so much I had to come back with my husband. It's a lovely hotel in a beautiful, central location. Service was excellent. Delicious buffet breakfasts you can eat in the peaceful garden. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.
- Superbly located in a posh green neighborhood very close to Trastevere. - Very beautiful hotel and garden.
I loved the location. I love the Aventine and the nearby restaurants are terrific.
