Villa Scacciapensieri  

Our four nights stay in Villa Scacciapensieri was most pleasant. Everything was excellent; the elegant hotel and its surrounding garden, the spacious room with a beautiful view of Siena, the gourmet restaurant - but most of all we enjoyed the friendly and helpful personnel

Old villa atmosphere, friendly staff, very good service.

I dont understand why omelet is not included in breakfast.... If you want to eat omelet then you should pay it separately.

It's charm and warm welcome! Loved the diner and the wonderful service by the maitre! The charm of a villa in Tuscany! Enchanted!! And at the reception the personal made our days by organizing tours to castles and guides to show the historical sites! Wonderful!

For those without a car, can be a little unconfortable! Which wasn't my case! And even having a car, I prefered taking a cab to down town Siena.

20 min bus ride to Siena.

The restaurant of the hotel was really good and its staff very helpful and kind to us. The hotel is placed in a good location - very close to the city - the parking lot size is appropriate and its gardens are very beatiful.

In my opinion the hotel is overrated. It can easily be a 3 star, but not a 4 star hotel. The facilities were clean but a bit old. We also had asked in advance for a queensized bed - and it was said by email that they could do it - but when we got into the room there were two single beds put together. I felt a bit mislead.

My husband and I went to the Villa as part of our honeymoon so wanted to stay a bit out of town to have the peace and quiet. The setting is lovely, the garden very pretty and the distance back into Siena is small enough that we could pop in without it feeling like a big effort. The waiters were brilliant, I a very sorry that we did not get their names so we could thank them personally, they really did make our stay there more enjoyable. Dinner was fantastic, expensive, but fantastic.

Staff very helpful and accommodating. Ate several meals on the patio. Excellent steak! Relaxing. Cappuccino anytime you're in the mood. Quiet!!!!!!

Bathtub/handheld shower combination.

The villa is an outstanding place to stay. Located just outside the busy centre of sienna this is a great place to rest and relax. The views are stunning and the hotel has excellent gardens, a large swimming pool and a tennis court. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the evening dinner set outside in the gardens is a must. An absolutely superb hotel.

Always polite and helpful staf. Tasteful locaition near Siena. Werry god restaurant (a little expensive to our budget).

The owner was nice. The breakfast was great.

A bit too far from the center. You could walk down hill for 15 mins, but I wouldn't recommend walking back up. We ended up going to the bus station and tried to take a bus as recommended by the staff, but took a taxi instead since we waited too long and it was raining (~10 euro)

The view were amazing!! Staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. Rooms cleaned every day and general condition of villa was great. We only had breakfast there and it was lovely. Could not comment on other meals as we went into Sienna for dinners. Would definately recommend staying there!

The website looked good, but the actual place exceeded expectations. We were blessed with good weather and took all our meals outside on the terrace. We would recommend the restaurant for the good value fixed price menu. All the staff seemed to have worked there some time, and it showed. The service was prompt without being fauning, and nothing seemed too much trouble. I can't recommend it highly enough.
