Villa Sermolli

Excellent staff and location (only in case of car rental) - close to Pisa and Florence, last is one hour of driving from the villa. Special thanks to Martin which was extremely nice.

We were living in the apartment for 4 adults plus we had a baby with us so there was a small problem with quite poor equipment in the kitchen - just two tea cups, one tea spoon etc, but the rest was awesome

Historical,Restfull place,with moder facility, friendly Staff, owner operator,and Great breakfast. Wunderfull Hill view and great lemon orchards with other fragrants. We have friends arriving today per our recomendation 9-29-2012

Off site parking, with a steep street to reach the Reception entrance, However manageble.

Everything was good, staff very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, the owner Martin was more than helpful, we was at ease as soon as we arrived in this beautiful place. We was picked up at Pisa Airport, taken to Villa Sermolli by Martin, who showed us to our beautiful suite with terrace , the views were spectacular of the countryside and the gardens. The gardens are full of flowers and there is a orange and lemon park filled with rocking chairs, terraces,lilly ponds. In a secluded spot in the garden is the swimming pool for guests with sunloungers. The food was a delight. Breakfasts had everything you could think of from, newly baked bread,meats cheeses, fruit,cereals, apple cake (wonderful) yoghurts, eggs, it was perfect. Evening meals were out of this world, I cannot say more, only everyone should sample them. We will return......

An old traditional Villa set in a lovely location high in a hilltop village. Rooms were large and clean and bathroom facilities were good. Views from the Villa were fabulous and the terrace a lovely place to sit and take in the view.

Staff were not very friendly. There was no orientation and no instructions regarding breakfast. There were no glasses in the room for drinking water or cleaning teeth. Parking was some distance away and there was a steep climb to the reception area. Villa Sermolli lacked ambience and was geared toward the German clientele. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. Wifi was virtually non existent in the room allocated.

A very special house with an authentic athmosphere. Good location on a hilltop. Close to all the highlights in Tuscany.

Not a problem for us but good to know: a lot of stairs.

Everything. Lovely room and fantastic gardens. Pool is small with limited seating around it but there are seats, loungers, hammocks in all sorts of nooks and crannies around the beautiful gardens ablaze with flowers and statues. Real place to chill out in. The best breakfast of the holiday with lovely artisan cheeses, proscuitto, fruit, amazing bread etc etc. Lovely ad lib coffee. Delightful breakfast on terrace with great views.

Not really a dislike but very steep path up and then poss. 2 large flights of stairs so just be aware of this. Not much going on in B. castello hamlet so we spent evening in Montecantini terme. Other guests eat there and had good things to say. Just not our scene to stay in hotel all day.

Avions réservé 10 Mois à l avance chambre de luxe confirme par l hotel mais loge dans chambre standard pour tout confort un distributeur de savon dans l évier ainsi que dans la douche. Accès à l hôtel impossible en voiture.

Ein wirklich aussergewöhnliches Haus mit wunderschönem Garten in einer sauberen Umgebung.

La posizione della villa ed il panorama della Toscana sono fantastici.

Al nostro arrivo ci siamo accorti che il parcheggio e' a più di 700 mt dalla struttura..da percorrere a piedi e in salita. L'appartamento,oltretutto maleodorante e' provvisto di aria condizionata in una sola camera e visto il caldo che faceva abbiamo dovuto dormire in quattro in un unico letto. Il bagno e' arredato con sanitari vecchi e senza la disponibilita' di una doccia. Per finire, alla sera dopo il nostro ritorno le luci non funzionavano perché staccate (anche in bagno)..

Meget smagfuldt indrettet hotel i flot stil med fine gl møbler. Fantastisk grønt og frodigt have- og terrasse-område med masser af private hyggekroge, med mulighed for udsigt, skygge eller sol, læ og mange udemøbler. Mange kringelkroge og "hemmelige" døre og gange giver hotellet lidt en slots- eller kloster-agtig fornemmelse. Udemærket morgenbuffet. Indretning i lejligheden i meget høj standart, og fantastisk stil med buede lofter, klinkegulve og tidstypiske møbler. Dejligt med restaurant på stedet. 10 min gang til nærmeste spisested ellers. Hjælpsomt og imødekommende personale med gode sprogkundskaber.

Fejlagtig beskrivelse af mange vigtige facilliteter på stedet: Der er ikke air-conditioning nogen steder på hotellet overhovedet!. Der er ingen privat terrasse tilknyttet lejligheden!. Der er ingen satellitkanaler (intet tv) pejs, skrivebord, værdiboks, elkedel eller strygejern!. Køkkenfaciliteter er meget begrænsede til 4 personer; en gryde og tre glas, ingen skåle eller ligende. Fællesområder er ikke røgfri som lovet; der bliver røget overalt også lige midt i morgenbuffeten. Værelset var ikke klar som aftalt, vi måtte vente 1.5 time i baren. På grund af dobbeltbooking? blev vi herudover først anvist et lille kammer på 30m2 beliggende i et anneks istedet for den reserverede lejlighed på 100m2. og vi måtte insistere på vores ret i lang tid før vi fik det som aftalt. Foreholdt den manglende air-conditioning var beskeden bare "Det har vi aldrig haft og det dør du ikke af". Temmelig generende koncertlarm torsdag og fredag aften/nat fra byen nedenfor. Poolen er lille og primært til børn og er ikke tilstrækkeligt rengjort. Restauranten på stedet er meget dyr i forhold til niveauet, vi ventede over en time mellem hver ret, og isen blev serveret fuldstændig smeltet, hvilket fik tjeneren til at spilde den flydende "is" på mine bukser og skjorte, dog uden han sagde noget til det. Husets vin koster 17 Euro pr flaske. Helt overordnet virker det som om der ikke helt er styr på tingene på Sermolli endnu, og at de forsøger at give sig ud for lidt mere end de kan leve op til.

Die Mitarbeiterin Cécilia hat professionell jeden Gast versucht zu betreuen , nur schade, dass man sich die Gäste nicht aussuchen kann. Auch die Inhaber folie gab sich große Mühe. Noch viel Erfolg wünscht Martina r.

La villa non puo' non piacere! Non ci sono aggettivi per descrivere quanto è bella.A noi è stata data una stanza con terrazzo(spettacolare) abbiamo goduto fino l'ultimo minuto lo splendore del panorama che ci offriva.

Accès un peu compliqué mais site de rêve. Ancien palais dans les hauteurs de la plaine, très bien restauré avec terrasses sud sur plusieurs niveaux. Accueil et disponibilité sympathique. Chambres parfaites. Dîner sur place possible. Gare de Montecatini à 5km permettant d'accéder à Florence en moins d'une heure (trains toutes les 1/2 heures).

è una villa bellissima, il nostro appartamento era arredato con estrema originalità. Stare due giorni immersi in quel giardino spettacolare tra quelle vecchie mura è stato un sogno.

Posizionata all'ingresso di un antico borgo sembra di vivere in un altro tempo.Il grande terrazzo a sbalzo da cui si gode una vista spettacolare sulla pianura toscana,i giardini profumati di agrumi,la tranquillità fanno di questa villa un momento magico da vivere.Colazione super.Tutti sempre gentilissimi e cortesi.Il nostro bimbo di 2 anni entusiasta

Abbiamo soggiornato nella camera del Conte,mancava la televisione. Alla villa basterebbe un centro benessere,una chicca per renderla assolutamente unica ed indimenticabile

Con le parole di Saba, la Villa "che in ogni parte è viva, / ha il cantuccio a me fatto, alla mia vita / pensosa e schiva." Meravigliosa per ambienti, posizione e servizi.

Un hôtel magnifique dans cadre magnifique. Très dépaysant. Un point de départ exceptionnel pour de très agréables visites en Toscane. Le parking est un problème mais l'hôtel vaut vraiment un effort.

La restauration n'est pas à la hauteur de l'établissement, vraiment pas. Le propriétaire de l'hôtel est allemand et tout est fait pour l'accueil de personnes allemandes y compris la description des visites organisées la journée. Dommage !... On peut même avoir quelques fois le sentiment de ne pas être attendu.

Sehr beeindruckend sind das Ambiente und der wunderschöne Garten. Hier kann man die Seele baumeln lassen! Hervorragend ist auch die Gästebetreuung durch Frau Larsen.

Nice gardens

We very very very deluded The pool is very very small and mostly in the shade. We booked adjoining rooms but were told they were not available on arriving .a real problem as we had my 87 year old mother in law . In effect the holiday ruined . The outside areas were unkepmt and the terrace and furniture downright dirty .nb!!! Parking is not on hand . The nearest you can park is 150 yeards away at the foot of the hill on the side of the road . The neighbours told us the place only has a licence as a b&b . On the other hand there was a huge function on the wednesday night which took over the entire place and the only option was to leave .That night the nearest parking was 250 yeards away . You can hear the main Pistoia /Lucca train very clearly The place is on a steep banked terrace garden so its not a place for elederly people at all

Villa sermolli is een unieke locatie, gerund door een uitermate vriendelijke Duitse eigenaar. Wij sliepen 2 nachten iin een bijzonder appartement, kinderen op de vliering en de volwassenen in een romantische buitenkamer met klamboe, erg bijzonder. Dit appartement is buiten de villa en door de kletsende Italiaanse oude dames om je heen, waan je je even een echte Italiaanse. De villa zelf is schitterend, prachtig uitzicht, waanzinnige terrassen en tuinen, echt Heel bijzonder, . Het zwembad is erg klein en ondiep, maar geeft de doorgereisde reiziger even een lekkere verkoeling. Villa sermolli is een romantische plek waar we graag nog eens een nachtje willen verblijven.
