Hotel Villa Sirina  

Gentillesse du personnel, la terrasse tres calme et cachant un gros immeuble alentour. Petit déjeuner avec un très grand choix et de très bons gâteaux faits maison. Très bien entretenu et propre.

Un peu loin de la mer. Petite salle de bain (seulement douche). Dans l'ensemble, même si les chambres ont reçu un petit coup de peinture, l'hotel est un peu vieillot mais dans l'ensemble c'était bien.

L'accueil, la gentillesse du patron & du personnel, leur bonne humeur permanente, les décorations des chambres & salons, l'excellente variété & qualité des petits déjeuners, surtout les pâtisseries composées par l'adorable Giovanna ! La possibilité d'anticiper de 4 jours l'arrivée à Villa Sirina , suite à une énorme déception en arrivant à l'hôtel **** préalablement retenu à Syracuse, dont nous ignorions l'emplacement réel à plus de 10 km de la ville, l' Hôtel Caimeini, superbe mais totalement isolé & loin de tout, tant plages que restaurations = séjour sur place forcé quand on ne dispose d'aucun moyen de transport personnel & que les transports publics y sont quasi-inexistants!!!

l'absence de restauration le soir, malgré les annonces des guides (restauration supprimée depuis plus de 5 ans & aucune visite des représentants des guides depuis près de 10ans = guides plus d'actualité!)

La petite taille de l'hôtel qui en fait un endroit très privilégié. La piscine. L'accès très facile à la ville de Taormina.

Ambiance familiale très professionnelle. Demeure de charme avec vue splendide, très beau jardin avec terrasse et piscine.Petit déjeuner raffiné et copieux. Félicitations toutes particulières à la "gouvernante" pour son sourire, ses chants et son efficacité.

Very helpful and friendly staff in this family run-hotel, excellent services, good value for money, good location close to the city centre of Taormina as well as the beach/Etna, easy access to highway, clean rooms and cosy atmosphere in the reception hall, good breakfast, nice surrounding garden with sunny terraces

Situated in a valley next to a road so you would hear the car noise and would not have a large view of the Etna; maybe also the morning noise in the hallway. Apart from this, it was a very enjoyable hotel so we would warmly recommend it

This hotel is situated at the bottom of the road leading up to Taormina so a car is essential if you want to visit Taormina (unless there is a bus that we weren't aware of). This was an ideal location for us. It's out of the commercialism of Taormina but still very close. The staff is very accommodating and our room was beautiful, clean, and quiet with a balcony and view of the sea. Parking was essential for us and they have free parking right at the hotel. Giardini Naxos, where the hotel is actually closer to, is right on the water and very nice for walks on the beach or eating in a restaurant with a water view. Gn is not as nice or touristy as Taormina but eating there is a good alternative if you want to eat less expensively. For us it worked out well to spend the day in Taormina taking in the sights but then going to gn for dinner.

Idyllic place to stay and discover beautiful Taormina. The stuff is really nice and helpful, you really feel welcome. You can enjoy your lovely breakfast in terrace. Villa is genuinely beautiful and if you take room with sea view you have really nice view and balcony. But you should have car to explore the surroundings, as the place isn't in the Taormina old town either in the beach, but in the hill between both, although you can easily walk down the hill to the beach. We enojed our stay - really in sisilian style in this beautiful villa.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were forendly and helpful.

There was no lift and we had a room on the second floor. I have arthritis and my wife has cronic fatigue syndrome. There was also no restaurant in the hotel and having just been driving for 11 hours, we were very disappointed that we had to go out to find somewhere to eat. Finally, at breakfast, while there was a lovely spread and a good service, eating in the garden meant having to suffer the traffic fumes from the nearby road. Overall, I felt the hotel was very overpriced as it was really only a glorified bed and breakfast establishment.

Disturbing construction work on a building across from the breakfast area. Some noise from the road passing by. 500 meters walk on a road with quite a lot of traffic to get to the beach. The best beaches seemed to be either a bit longer south in Giardinini Naxos or longer north in Taormina.

The managers and staff were exceptionally welcoming, kind and helpful in routine matters and also arranged trips to places of interest, and car hire for us. The hotel has been converted from an old villa, and has delightful surroundings.with flowers everywhere. This gives it a relaxed and laid-back ambience which we very much liked. The pool was not too large but was very well maintained and surrounded by flowers and citrus trees, which made a swim a real delight. Our room was large, with both a shower and a bath, a separate sitting area and a large balcony with a beautiful sea view. It was kept immaculately clean at all times, as was the whole hotel. Breakfast was delicious, very generous and beautifully presented. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the shops, restaurants and beach at Giardini-Naxos, and also the bus stop and railway station, which was very useful for trips around. We wanted a quiet relaxing holiday with trips to local places of interest as well as time by the pool, and for us this hotel was perfect.

We liked everything about the hotel. It is situated a short bus ride from the centre of Taormina, but the buses are not always frequent especially after 9pm. The taxis cost 15 euros (a fixed fare), and if you wanted to spend a lot of time partying in Taormina, that could work out expensive. There is plenty of parking space at the hotel, but parking can be difficult in the centre of Taormina, which can be very crowded. The beach at Giardini-Naxos is a bit pebbly in places, and there isn't much shade but it is very popular. Walking along the roads can be hazardous. Only the very young or old or tourists seem to walk in Sicily - everyone else using vehicular transport, so pavements are not much used and tend to be narrow or non-existent. Also, everyone drives at least 10mph faster than in the uk, so be very careful.when walking along the roads or driving.

Beautiful villa, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, magnificent breakfast provided by wonderful Giovana, staff well informed and extremely helpful. We were so impressed that we cancelled another hotel to stay on for a few more days here. Room with large shaded balcony and view of the bay comfortable, bathroom small but perfectly appointed. Will definately return. No restaurant except for breakfast but many excellent places to eat nearby recommended by hotel who provide maps and car park discount in Taormina. Pool and garden areas delightful.

Das Hotel ist wunderbar gelegen und bietet einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Bucht von Giardini Naxos. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist ausgezeichnet und schmeckt auf der Terrasse genossen einfach nochmal so gut. Schön war auch die Nähe zu Giardini Naxos, den Stränden und der Promenade. Dadurch war es nur ein Katzensprung zu den kleinen Restaurants in Giardini, die bei weitem nicht so touristisch durchgestylt sind wie in Taormina oben, aber was Service und Preis/Leistung angeht, einfach klasse sind.

Der Garten des Hotels ist wunderbar, aber auch Heimat für unzählige Stechmücken. Nicht jedes Zimmer hat ein Fliegengitter, was aber vorteilhaft wäre.
