Peaceful and classic old hotel with marvellous character and period furnishings, gtrat bed...couldnt be better
Off season so choice of restaurants open was slim
Just a lovely little quaint inn with trattoria which closes at night but a beautiful spot with great views.. We loved it
Stayed here in September when the main holiday season was winding down. Loved the villa and the island from the moment I arrived. Spacious lake view room beautifully prepared and clean. Serviced daily to a high standard. Top quality bathroom, constant hot water. Breakfasts on the terrace looking out at Isola Bella were very good. Staff always friendly and helpful. Lovely strolling round the island early morning or late evening without the tourists, looking out over the lake and mountains. Hope to return.
Perfect for me. Hard to criticise this Villa. There's no lounge area which might be important to some people. Not all the restaurants on the island are open every evening out of season so plan your dinner. And don't forget the time of the last ferry back to avoid a more expensive water taxi!
The romantic location with its stunning view of Isola Bella could not be bettered.
Cleaning staff disrupted the romantic atmosphere!
I loved the serenity of the island, just a short ferry ride from Stresa. The view over Isolabella was fantastic, the restaurants on the island, very good, and the peace and quite at night was wonderful, with just the lapping of the waves to send you to sleep. I'm a travel consultant and usually book 4 star hotels, but I could find no fault with this small b & b and Stephano, the manager was delightful and helped us with our luggage from the ship to the hotel. I would go back in the blink of an eye! Isobel Stuart, Travel Consultant
Amazing location. Sunshine whole day on the balcony. Fantastic views 360 degrees.
We stayed in an apartment (not in the hotel). There is no Wi Fi in the apartment (there is Wi Fi in the hotel, but we did not want to run there every time).
Location and Views are amazing. Think, "the Enchanted April"
Some renovations in progress due to off season.
charming place Robberto the host
a bit basic, but it's part of the charm nothing to do at evening which is also part of the charm. few restaurats are open.
Friendly owners who were warm, welcoming and were very helpful, even arranging an earlier breakfast and booking us a water taxi. Beautifully decorated rooms with stunning view over the lake. Best breakfast we have had in Italy with homemade croissants straight from the oven, hot chocolates and great coffee! We would love to go back one day.
Although there were lots of restaurants open during the day only a few were open in the evening in early October on Isola Pescatori.
