Used as the set for famous costume films and supposed birthplace of Mona Lisa, Vignamaggio offers unique accommodation in the Tuscan countryside.
One of the oldest wine estates situated in the Chianti Classico region, Vignamaggio is made up of a 14th-century Renaissance villa where rooms and suites are located, surrounded by beautiful Italian gardens. The restored farm buildings scattered around the grounds are now home to luxurious apartments.
Vignamaggio's grounds feature everything you could ask for from a holiday in the Tuscan countryside. Enjoy a game of tennis, have a refreshing swim in one of the outdoor pools or go horse-riding through the woods. Bikes are available free of charge and kids have their own playground.
Vignamaggio has a spa centre, where you can use the Turkish baths free of charge. The hotel has also its own gym which comes complete with Jacuzzi. Go for walks down to the river past vineyards and olive groves or just sunbathe a terrace.
Shoot some pool in the games room indoors, play table tennis or just relax with a cup of tea in one of the historic drawing rooms. In Vignamaggio's common areas you can enjoy complimentary hot drinks and snacks all day long.
