В номере № 1 кровать из-за неровного пола на столько кривая и неудобная, что спина болела потом ещё дня 3. (номер не меняли, т..к. были всего 3 ночи.). Как в других номерах не знаю...

Очень красивая природа. Вежливый персонал. Красивые номера и отель. Отличная кухня.

Maybe slightly over priced

The views, the magnificient villa, the excellent food and wine... Great location to visit Chianti.

I must have called the receptionist a half dozen time after our arrival for information. Each time I received a polite and patient response. After leaving, the receptionist followed up well to make sure forgotten items would be returned. We requested and received the apartment above the reception office. It is located a few minutes walk from the main house which didn't use much because we were more interested in day trips to other towns in Chianti.

We never quite got used to the narrow, winding roads up and down each day. If you're in fear of a head on crash, you'll likely be nervous a lot. The trip from sr 222 to Vignamaggio about 5 minutes.

The hotel and its grounds are wonderful! They have everything you could want including 2 pools and a spa. Breakfast was great and worth the 10 Euro a day. The location is also great and very close to other nearby wineries.

The beds were not very comfortable.

A spur of the moment decision (next day travel) an acquaintance had recommended Verrazano Winery just south of Florence, however they were closed for the month of November. I couldn't get Chianti out of my mind so I kept looking. Unsuccessfully. Disheartened, I turned to www.booking.com and hit the proverbial jackpot. Villa Vignamaggio is open during November, the crowds are gone. It is an agritourism hotel so there is a working winery, a fattoria, and they have several wine tours to choose from. We booked a suite (Mimosa); it was lovely, old world splendor. The rooms were spotless. The grounds are magnificent, there are two beautiful pools for the summer months, the staff gracious, the beds and furniture comfortable, the food exquisite and the wine tour with lunch included was wonderful.

Our one bedroom apartment was very nice and comfortable. All the staff (with one exception) were very nice and responsive to our needs. The estate is lovely - can't imagine waking up in a nicer place!

We tried to do a wine tasting (it is an active vineyard), but the girl tending the tasting room left 6 of us after serving us one type of wine. We waiting for about 10 minutes for her to return, but she never did. As we returned to our room, we saw her in the distance walking a different group of people (who arrived after us) around the property. It was disappointing.

VV is one of our favorite get-aways. It offers comfortable rooms in a beautiful Tuscan setting. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel, while off the beaten path, is close to Greve-in-Chianti and other locations in the Chianti region.

There is really noting to dislike. If there is one minor complaint it would be to "ramp up" their dining room options a bit. We found the limited menu options somewhat heavy and monotonous. That being said, the food was well prepared and could be paired with the excellent VV wines. In inclement weather going to breakfast requires walking for about five minutes or taking a car.

Very quaint villa ! Gorgeous estate !! Fantastic scenery and an overall. Surreal experience !! Absolutely superb !!

Dark and cold in the room. Reception works until 7pm.

It is not really a hotel in the real sense and I would more describe it as a nice b&b. Furthermore, guest are not allowed to enter a lot of the grounds of the estate as this is viewed as private property which is not really clear when booking the hotel.

Location was definitely spectacular and its surroundings

a very tiny room for quite a substantial price; negotiate with the hotel's operator the room arrangements first before concluding the reservations; there were much better options in this hotel for the same price, which i was not aware off; keep in mind the booking.com clients not always get the best deals as the reservations are generally quite discounted.

Our stay a Villa Vignamaggio was great! The staff were friendly and helpful, and always tried to accomadate our needs. It is located in a wonderful rural countryside setting, with stunning views of the landscape of Tuscany. A short drive to other attractions in the area-Florence, Siena,- and many other small Tuscan towns.Our wine pairing dinner was delicious! Our rustic authentic room was large and spacious. I highly recommend this beautiful Tuscan winery, which offers fresh air, walking gardens, fine wine and the absolute peaceful beauty of Chianti.

Loved it all! Staff was great, the Monna Lisa suite was like a fairy tale. Enjoyed the restaurant shop, spa, clear tour, pool, jacuzzi. All were superb.

Hate the fixed on the wall hairdryers!!!!!! Please, give us real hairdryers.

Professional and courteous staff. Superb location above the town of Greve with spectacular views of surrounding vineyards and olive groves. A sunset dinner, preceded by a tour of the winery, and paired with wines produced at the Villa is highly recommended.

Villa Vignamaggio is located in the hills of Tuscany. The setting is outstanding. The history was amazing - bottled first Chianti wine in 1404 and the woman who posed for the famed Mona Lisa lived here!! I can't say enough about the Villa and its surroundings. Absolute heaven!

The location that makes its so wonderful can also create issues if you plan to travel (as we did) on day trips to sites throughout Tuscany. Long and winding roads - though gorgeous - do lead to some stress if you leave the Villa often enough.

Beautiful setting. VERY nice staff. Great location between Siena and Florence. Just far enough off of the main road, but not too far off. VERY Large room, about 3 times larger than our rooms in Rome which were just as expensive. Beautiful views of Chianti/Tuscany. Nice hot tub/pool. Great wine/food/cooking lesson experience.

Wifi in the room wasn't working. That would be nice. TV/Movie choice poor, but I know you aren't in Tuscany to watch tv. Not the end of the world. If I could change one thing, I would relocate the olive trees that are in front of the Pool down by the spa so people at the pool could see the countryside better. Also, maybe I would offer a Pizza/Pasta dinner/lunch menu for people who don't want the big/long dinner...Maybe down by where breakfast was served? Not sure. Still, LOVED this place. Would HIGHLY recommend it. Will probably be back as soon as we can afford it/Get the time off of work.

The grounds and ambience of this historical villa-turned winery was lovely. We had an apartment which was elegantly furnished and extremely comfortable. The setting is isolated and quiet with spectacular views of the Chianti hills.

Given the remote location, charging for breakfast and for tours of the gardens on on-site wine cellars seemed opportunistic, and at these prices, offensive. Staff presence was minimal and uninformed about amenities of the property.
