Hotel Villa Villoresi  

Eine wunderbare Villa mit viel Flair, leider etwas abgenützt. Die Unterhaltung dürfte viel Geld kosten, lohnt sich aber. Insofern ist trotz Fehlens des Komforts der Zimmerpreis gerechtfertigt. Besonders schön ist der wunderbare Speisesaal, auch die Qualität der Küche ist gut.

Very nice hotel if you want to stay outside of the city center (close to the airport for example) and avoid parking costs.

Hot water pressure is very weak - it will take hours to fill a bathtub and the shower is barely tolerable.

The hotel was older, and at one time was a grand manor. Frescos were on all walls and on the ceiling. The history of the building was written down and there is a story for every part of the house. The room had a heater and a private bathroom, and it slept all five of us in one room. The owner was a very nice lady, and accommodating. She provided for all our needs without complaint and was able to provide directions/ tips for sights to see in Florence.

The owner is getting on in years, and she is having trouble keeping up the grounds, the garden was starting to become over grown. All the furniture was antique, with some of the seat cushions no longer holding their form.

Bellissima struttura che conserva il suo antico fascino, gentilezza della Signora che ci ha accolto e del resto dello staff.

Abbiamo scelto quella struttura perchè ha il ristorante ma quando siamo arrivati abbiamo scoperto che era chiuso. Ci hanno però prenotato un ottimo ristorante poco lontano dove abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Deve piacere lo stile antico.

It was romantically "OLD" and very quiet. I particularly loved the entry foyer full of antique furnishings and four fabulous crystal chandeliers. The whole building was full of history. there was a pristine,clear pool out in the garden to soak some weary feet in. and the view of fruit trees laden with huge lemons, limes and oranges was a lovely place to enjoy a bottle of wine in the afternoon.

The meal at the hotel restaurant was served well, but extremely overpriced for tourists who were trapped in a quiet neighborhood far away from options. We should have brought a sack lunch.

We enjoyed very much our stay at Villa Villoresi. The staff and the owner was very helpful and friendly. We got very good advice and guidance for where to go and how to get around. The stay was very comfortable and you really could relax.

The pool was serviced regularly and the staff friendly.

Food - very poor, expensive at any level. Restaurant open to the elements which made for an uncomforable dining experience. Don't forget to pack your mosquito spray as you are going to need it! Some of the bedroom furinture including the beds needs updating which lead to uncomfortable sleeping. If you don't mind this and like querky this is for you. Wouldn't recommend to my friends.

It was awesome to be there, they tried us like a family, the food and service was very good. Even better.. we enjoy the evening chat with the owner Mrs Cristina after dinner telling us different stories and history about the place. The girls really enjoy that our room was located in the tower of the "piccolo castello". It is highly recommended

Fantastically welcoming, family run, set against a backdrop of Tuscan hills, relaxed atmosphere, close enough to use as a touring base for visiting florence and Tuscany as a whole. Beautiful building, good honest food. Staff and owner are superbly warm and helpful

A slightly more versatile lunch menu would have been nice but what was on offer was perfectly delicious

This is an Unique hotel, keeping the old traditions of Florence beginning from 12 Century. When you inside of the hotel you can feel the history of this Building. Personal of the hotel are doing everything for the Guests for the comfort and relaxation. Breakfast, services and everything in this hotel are Special. The Owner of the Hotel Cristina Villoresi is taking care for every guest Personally and keeping every detail of the hotel in the way to safe Old Traditions, to make Guests Happy. Lot of Old Masters Paintings, antique furniture, things e.g. Everything is Real. Kindly recommend for Everybody, and assure You it would be unforgettable vacation (or couple days staying). I’m traveling by car in Italy with my family, my wife and two children and this hotel is the Best on Our way. Thanks to the Villoresi!!!

We just say....... don´t miss this fantastic place! It goes to your hart. It´s so speciell! Good service and a wonderful lady, that is the owner. The house really has it´s story long back in time. You can "feel it in the walls". Nice with the pool just outside the house, and the little restaurant where you can eat a good dinner. This place must be very good for couples that wants to go to a nice place for a long relaxing weekend. You have to take the train or the car in to Firenze! The train was really ok, and you can park your car just by the station.

Where do you start! Felt like real Tuscany. Loved the atmosphere and the stay were excellent. Would return again!

Dets charmerende særpræg som I høj grad skyldes Villosiernes historie, som stedet emmer af. Det ligner ikke noget andet hotel, og det er derfor en særlig oplevelse at være der som gæst. Terrassen på første sal med direkte adgang fra værelse og haven med citrontræerne m.v.

Sengene: Madrasserne har kendt bedre dage og er korte! Maden på restaurenten er for dyr i forhold til kvaliteten og morgenmaden kunne trænge til et løft, f.eks. med lidt frisk frugt og "ægte" juice (uden sukker)
