Villa Agnes is situated on one of the busiest thoroughfares--the circular road that surrounds the old wall, so if you open your windows it's very noisy, and crossing over into the old town is a bit dicey because of the traffic. So if you're looking for the experience of a quiet villa, you may be disappointed.
Villa Agnes is a pretty little villa, with lovely grounds, situated directly across from the old walled city with easy access to one of the gates. It appears to be family run, with a very helpful and gentle staff who work very hard to meet your needs. The breakfast is continental, with the usual fare. The price is very reasonable. The decor is a little quirky. Each room has a theme--our 'music room' was pleasant, with a beautiful, modern tiled bathroom, but the whole room was strangely decorated with chains of dangling 45 records and vinyl decals above the bed with more flying records. If you can smile through that, it's a pretty good bargain.
