The staff were really nice. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Value for money.
A bit disappointed with the location - on a pretty busy main road outside the city walls. But that was mainly because I had walked through the very pretty old part of town to get from the train station to the b&b.
Clean and roomy. Lots of space. Very friendly staff and a nice breakfast spread. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Free parking!
No soap was provided for the shower.
Beautiful villa inside and out. Wonderful spacious room with a big bathroom. Perfect location, just a few steps from the city walls. Free parking. Recommend to rent bikes there (cheaper than renting in the city) and spend a day bicycling around the town and the city walls. Lovely garden where the breakfast is served and where you can relax during the day. Greta is very kind and helpfull, she even surprised us with champagne and strawberries on our arrival. Loved staying there!
A warm welcome with refreshments on arrival in the garden and helpfulness throughout our stay. Convenient for the town, comfy and spacious rooms. The beds were a good size and we slept well.
Good service. Afternoon tea available in the garden. Good position for walking into town.
Noise from busy road can be heard in bedrooms at side of the property. Rooms at the back overlooking garden quieter.
Great location with parking. Helpful pleasant staff. Good sized room in a nice building.
Beds a bit firm and pillows solid!
Staff very helpful Convenient location just outside city walls
Breafast served very late (8:30) Ring road is continually noisy
Lovely property, arty and lovely staff
The sign outside could be more prominent for drivers
There eas a shock entering the room. We never thought the price we paid would buy that kind of room
The accommodation at Villa Agnese was very convenient to the walked city of Lucca. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff vegy helpful
Absolutely everything!!! We stayed for 2 nights before travelling to a Villa for our daughters wedding and it was a perfect beginning to a truly wonderful stay in Italy. Loved the 'themed' rooms, We were in the 'Patisserie' room and our son had the 'Musica' room. The rooms were spotlessly clean & very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and as the weather was lovely breakfast was served out in the garden which was just lovely. Fantastic location, literally straight across the road was an entrance into Lucca. Wonderful helpful friendly staff.
location and rooms breakfast Greta's attempts to put right a problem with the booking
that we had a problem with the booking
Very attractive hotel with great access to the town through the walls. Large comfortable room. Good breakfast in the garden. Highly recommended.
Air con a bit noisy, but this is very minor
The villa is located opposite the city walls so very convenient to access. Bikes were cheap to hire and it gave us a wonderful insight into local life. Room was clean and cared for with breakfast accommodating gluten-free too. Reception staff very helpful and friendly.
Located on the main ring road so our room was noisy with the windows open. Quite a basic room but completely adequate
Breakfast outside in the garden was really wonderful!
No 4 star. Poor quality of food (bread, cheese).Too expensive.very noisy due to traffic, management amateuristic.
We spent here 9 beautiful days. We liked the breakfasts. Greta and Elena were friendly and helpful. Zita & Judit
Villa Agnese is located right across the street from a walking entrance to Lucca's wall--great spot. Villa A was simple yet elegant, spotless and very pleasing. The backyard breakfast was excellent, too.
Cant rate this high enough,it is perfect for a stay in lucca, quirky and relaxed, very pleasant and helpful people,we hired two bikes for 10euro for 24hours and had a great day, thankyou
Very helpful staff. Close to old town.
Mosquitos. Grounds and yard need a lot of work. Couldn't charge electronics unless in room. Sink leaked. Noisy on major street. Needs a nice common area for guests to hang out.
Good location just outside of Lucca's north wall, with parking for the car. Very pleasant, friendly, and helpful staff. Clean, large room and private bath. We stayed 6 days, using Villa Agnese as our headquarters for touring this region of Tuscany. Great breakfasts al fresco on good days.
Street noise from traffic at morning & evening hours, but could be controlled OK with window shutters.
Breakfast in the garden each morning
Having to check in by 7pm; proper espresso coffee not available at breakfast
