Everything was just wonderful. Our welcome, room, location and breakfast. Greta was so pleasant and helpful.
The office and catering staff were great. Very obliging and friendly to us and ready to help us with practical matters - including ringing for taxis.
There was some road noise in the evenings with frequent sirens from emergency vehicles, unfortunately. However, we would stay there again because all the pros outweighed the cons by a long way.
Great location easy walk to centre. Good bathroom and bed.
The staff was very personable and helpful. The house is wonderful. breakfast was nice.
Getting luggage up and down the stairs.
The staff were very welcoming, beautiful, individual rooms. Attention to detail on presentation. Lovely gardens , and perfect location for getting into the old city.
Lovely bathroom but spoiled by an inadequate shower screen , making it impossible to avoid soaking the floor.
Very helpful staff Bike hire was great value and a lovely experience Nothing close but everything within 10 minutes
Should have confirmed arrival as no one on desk at 13.00, so a maid let us in locked door ( in the rain)
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to leave a day earlier, and they made every effort to rent our room so that we would not have a loss.
Greta (the landlady?) was very welcoming. Breakfast in the garden, ability to make a cuppa in the front room during the day. Proximity to the walled city
Staff, location, good breakfast, comfortable beds
The staff were really nice. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Value for money.
A bit disappointed with the location - on a pretty busy main road outside the city walls. But that was mainly because I had walked through the very pretty old part of town to get from the train station to the b&b.
Clean and roomy. Lots of space. Very friendly staff and a nice breakfast spread. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Free parking!
No soap was provided for the shower.
Beautiful villa inside and out. Wonderful spacious room with a big bathroom. Perfect location, just a few steps from the city walls. Free parking. Recommend to rent bikes there (cheaper than renting in the city) and spend a day bicycling around the town and the city walls. Lovely garden where the breakfast is served and where you can relax during the day. Greta is very kind and helpfull, she even surprised us with champagne and strawberries on our arrival. Loved staying there!
A warm welcome with refreshments on arrival in the garden and helpfulness throughout our stay. Convenient for the town, comfy and spacious rooms. The beds were a good size and we slept well.
Good service. Afternoon tea available in the garden. Good position for walking into town.
Noise from busy road can be heard in bedrooms at side of the property. Rooms at the back overlooking garden quieter.
Great location with parking. Helpful pleasant staff. Good sized room in a nice building.
Beds a bit firm and pillows solid!
Location is OK, next to Lucca's citywall... but also next to a main road (with significant traffic), so make sure you get a room with the windows to the back garden. Private parking lots are available in the backyard. Charming interior.
Not so much customer oriented staff, fixed checkin time from 3pm to 7pm, earlier checkin is not an option :( Breakfast starts 8:30 on sharp, if you late then you can expect to have only the leftovers. Coffee!!! Seriously?!?! Italy is a country where you would expect a variety of fresh coffees (espresso, latte machiatto, capuccino, etc...), but here we got some lean, pre-made something from a thermos. Lack of soundproofing, so you can follow what's happening in the neighbour rooms and on the coridor.
Staff very helpful Convenient location just outside city walls
Breafast served very late (8:30) Ring road is continually noisy
Lovely property, arty and lovely staff
The sign outside could be more prominent for drivers
There eas a shock entering the room. We never thought the price we paid would buy that kind of room
The accommodation at Villa Agnese was very convenient to the walked city of Lucca. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff vegy helpful
Absolutely everything!!! We stayed for 2 nights before travelling to a Villa for our daughters wedding and it was a perfect beginning to a truly wonderful stay in Italy. Loved the 'themed' rooms, We were in the 'Patisserie' room and our son had the 'Musica' room. The rooms were spotlessly clean & very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and as the weather was lovely breakfast was served out in the garden which was just lovely. Fantastic location, literally straight across the road was an entrance into Lucca. Wonderful helpful friendly staff.
location and rooms breakfast Greta's attempts to put right a problem with the booking
that we had a problem with the booking
Very attractive hotel with great access to the town through the walls. Large comfortable room. Good breakfast in the garden. Highly recommended.
Air con a bit noisy, but this is very minor
