Staff excellent and very helpful. Difficult to locate without navigation by gps coordinates. Directions from nearest towns would be helpful with booking.

Villa Campomaggio was totally refurbished and converted from a privately owned dwelling to a hotel in 2007. Many of the beautiful original features of the original building have been kept and the common areas have been furnished in a manner which makes it comfortable and relaxing. All of the staff were very helpful, polite and tried to make our stay at the hotel relaxing. The hotel is surrounded by wonderful Tuscan countryside which is spectacular and peaceful. The restaurant at the hotel is good although the menu is quite limited. Although the hotel has been refurbished to a very good standard there are obvious signs of lack of maintenance and investment (Broken toilet seat, tile missing in bathroom, no glasses or bottle opener in room, poorly stocked mini bar, only a few bottles of wine available in the restaurant). The hotel was due to close for the season which may have had something to do with this. Although the rooms are a very generous size there was only a shower in our bathroom and now bath. The road up to the hotel is like one of the typical gravel Tusacn roads in the area although it does require some maintenance due to water damage. My wife had a pedicure whilst at the hotel which she called the ‘Pedicure from hell’. Clearly the so called beautician didn’t know what she was doing which resulted in her cutting my wife’s toe and her wearing flip-flops for the rest of the stay. The hotel did recognise this failure and deducted it from the bill.

We loved the beautiful scenery and vinyard views, bedroom was beautiful staff was helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was great. Pool was wonderful! Our shower was broken, so terrible shower, and if you wanted to eat anywhere besides the on location restaurant, you had to drive for quite some time to get to Radda to dine. Also, the directions to the hotel were TERRIBLE, basically non-existent. We had to drive into Radda, find the tourist info centre, and luckily the lady there was able to give us specific directions as to how to find it. The dirt road leading up to the hotel was rough too... considering the luxury and expenses of the hotel, was expecting the driveway to at least be paved and well marked?

The view is excellent and the hotle is a beautiful castle. The room is good equipped but smells a little bad. The free internet access is available in the room, yet the cable needs to ask for from the front desk. The breakfast is good comparing with the city hotels. The road to the hotel from the main road is so poor.

The setting was stunning. The accommodations were luxurious. It was very quiet and restful. The staff is kept to a minimum but they were very friendly and helpful. Very convenient to wine-tasting and visits to hill towns. I hope to return someday soon! Would have liked to have wireless Wi-Fi in my room.

Disappointing that we only had booked for one day. Our previous hotel had not lived up to expectations. This place was wonderful. From the moment we arrived the staff were so professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Very good room, fantastic views; lovely spa room (just wished we had more time to use it). Two very pleasant terraces. I cannot think of a negative thing to say about this place. If the opportunity arises I would definately return and stay much longer. Ian I had only booked one night. Just wish I had known what to expect I would have stayed longer.

The building and grounds are gorgeous and the setting is beautiful. The one dinner we ate in the restaurant was superb. The location is good for exploring the Tuscan countryside. Before staying I had read some reviews critical of the service. That was not our experience at all. There was always someone available and everyone was extremely warm and friendly. We arrived mid afternoon after they stopped serving lunch but when they heard we were hungry offered to put together what was a wonderful salami, cheese and fruit plate. Breakfast outside is a great start to the day.

First time in Tuscany and we were very lucky to select such a good hotel. Our room was very spacious and clean, situated within the main former castle building. The surrounding grounds including pool area were immaculately presented. The restaurant had a reasonable menu but served up tasty local dishes. Finally, the hotel is situated within the heart of the Tuscan Hill, entirely surrounded by vineyards.

The location is excellent. Very tranquil. Lovely grounds. Lack of wardrobe space - one small wardrobe. Room air conditioning is set at the reception desk with a 3 degree change either way. This mysteriously altered during the stay without request. The plastic card room "key" failed to work for no apparent reason. Poor selection for breakfast for the cost. Not good value for money.

My husband and I can't say enough wonderful things about Villa Campomaggio. The staff was wonderuful. Upon check-in we were upgraded for no reason to a larger room that overlooked the beautiful grounds in the back. They then proceeded to walk us to our room, around the spa, the grounds, etc to highlight their beautiful complex. The grounds are just unbelievable, quiet, serene with many places to choose to sit and have a drink or just hang out. Their spa includes many nice amenities including mineral spas, turkish bath, massages if you would like, etc. The breakfast which is included is very fresh and is eaten in yet another beautiful courtyard. The room which we were upgraded to was very large, with a full soaking tub, large shower and again large windows of the views of the grounds. Upon checkout- the staff was so helpful in getting directions for us to our next destination even printing out english versions of mapquest for us. We would highly recommend staying here!

Hotel charmoso, atendimento excelente.

Colazione in giardino. Bella zona relax. Personale molto gentile. colazione un pochino povera.
