Location couldn't have been more scenic, the staff were all excellent nothing was too much trouble and the storm we had during the week that presented us with a huge rainbow added to the photographic quality of the surrounds.
Limited choice for breakfast
The friendly helpful staff. A great pool in lovely surroundings. I did not want to leave.
Nothing major but if you dont like a big step out of a bath, make sure you have a room with a shower. Take your own hire dryer too.
Staff friendly and helpful Hotel facilities 10/10 Location amazing Wine tasting added to our stay
very nice stay in beautiful villa with the beautiful vineyard view. We highly appreciate the professional and very warm behavior of your staff who made our stay memorable. Once we are back in Chianti area we'd love to stay in this hotel again.
We absolutely loved it! My wife and I stay at Villa Campomaggio for a few days in August and found the location and the hotel very beautiful, and the staff was fantastic. Being located right in the vineyards was very romantic, but at the same time it was also a family friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed all aspects of this unique resort including the spa, pool, restaurant and the views.
The grounds are beautiful surrounded with flowers and vineyards. There is a lovely pool. The staff is excellent and attentive. Thre is a daily 6:30PM wine tasting with a very nice antipasto spread. The room was large and comfortable. A nice breakfast was also included.
A blanket-cover instead of a bed-sheet under the bedspread can be more comfortable
Some staff members, poor menu and unprofessional massage
A wonderful location, beautifully appointed rooms, very clean, a nice pool, good light meals offered at lunch and dinner. The staff was most friendly, respectful and accommodating.
We were the second time in Villa Campomaggio and we know that it is the best place in Chianti for us. We were in many hotels in whole Tuscany and Villa Campomaggio is wonderful and we already miss this place. Great, clean room, beautiful view, SPA and swimming pool, extremely nice and helpful staff. Thank you for the room it was really great. I hope we will see in the next year. Best Regards Agata & Rafael
People are amazed when I show them pictures of the Villa. It was so beautiful! The staff where attentive to our every need and very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.
We had a 2 bedroom apartment that was just a little bare in furnishings and comfort. It could use some rugs and better beds. Our bed was very hard. Our friends stayed in a room in the hotel and was very happy with their room.
The Villa was excellent just what you want being in Tuscany. A good location to travel around.
The lack of personal service, it seemed like the staff where only there to over see the property. Very little interaction.
Beautiful location for a relaxing break. staff friendly and very helpful.
Grazie a tutti to the wonderful staff of Villa Campomaggio! The food was exceptional, true Tuscan style The staff were warm and friendly and made us feel like family The property was exquisite and the pool was such a wonderful escape during the hot summer afternoons The views were more beautiful than any movie or picture of Tuscany! The location is exceptional, convenient to Florence, Siena, and so many lovely towns dotted throughout Chianti. I can't say enough about this gem...other than we'll be staying again next year!
Location, amenities, food and staff were excellent.
I have never been to a hotel 1*-4* which didn't have an iron for guests to use. Normally, there is one in every room, but if not, there has always been one at the desk for guests to borrow. We arrived with everything creased from travelling to find no iron available. You have to pay 8 euros an item to have the house keeper iron them. I was very disappointed in this policy and it slightly alters my eagerness to return.
- Excellent service, provided by friendly, fun and very flexible staff. - A fantastic property with excellent facilities, including a nice spa facility.
The only minor complaint I could make is that the property was a little hard to find at night. This could be improved by slightly better signage and directions for guests prior to arrival - however, it is a minor issue.
Very helpful staff, excellent restaurant within 5km distance.
No sofa or comfort chair in the room.
We loved our stay here and hope to return some dat. Beautiful villa, very peaceful and relaxing.
Very quiet and secluded. Hosted a wine tasting (additional cost). Rooms were nice. Staff were accommodating, especially with a gluten allergy at breakfast. The breakfast is huge and has a wide variety.
It was almost too secluded- a little eerie at night with seemingly no one around.
The staff was excellent. They were friendly and helpful. The information about restaurants and vineyards was very helpful.
There wasn't much information about physical activities.
Everything, we will be back
We were in our honeymoon and got nice room with really big terrace (only room that had own terrace). Staff was really friendly and they spoke english very well.
Unfortunately we could hear voises from the other rooms and from the stairs.
Noisy room over restaurant/terrace.
It is purely a Spa and Relaxation resort. For that purpose the hotel has the right isolation and luxury. Good to chill out here. We did not take the spa or massage, but may be good. Staff are very helpful and nice. Wi-fi was good.
It was my mistake to book here for a stay in Chianti area. I wanted to enjoy touring the Chianti region. This hotel is bit remote and needs lot of driving to get to Arezzo and other points of interest. Dont stay here if you want to move about.
Friendly staff Peaceful location with great views Cleanliness Good wine list Reasonable choice at breakfast Great for couples, adult groups or singles who want a cultured relaxing break away from noisy families
Only a very limited menu for evening food (quality ok though) Not good if you want to be walking distance to a town or village..not an issue for us
