Villa Casanova  

Rooms are very comfortable with private bathroom. Excellent staff. The owner himself serves breakfast, bake muffins). Free parking and wi-fi – very convenient. We arrived in Venice by car at 1 a.m. (very late!) and he met us at the exit from the ferry and placed us in the room. He was very helpful and nice! No fuss and smells of Venice. It is very easy to get to any island by ferry. Alessandro, thank you!

Villa Casanova is a fantastic place to stay when you visit Venice. First of all, the staff (especially Alessandro, the owner) is excellent. Alessandro would help us with all our wishes and questions. Our room was very clean and very romantic (we even had a four-poster bed). The breakfast is splendid: with a large choice of cereals, fresh fruit, bread, delicious Italian mozzarella, tomatoes etc. The house is very nicely located, being only 300 meters from the main vaporetto/alilaguna stop in Lido (Lido s.e.m.), from which you can reach virtually anything in Venice/Murano/Burano etc. The house also has a nice small garden in front of it. All these things add to the overall pleasant feeling we had during our stay. Lido is very nice to explore by bike and Villa Casanova has about eight bikes which you can lend for free. Alessandro is very lenient with these things: just take it and bring it back whenever you like. Overall I would recommend Villa Casanova to everyone: it is a superb place to stay whether you are on a romantic city-trip to Venice (like us) our a family trip to Lido. Grazie mille Alessandro!

I can only find one small minor point: the bikes were not very well maintained. Some tires were flat, one had a loose chain and some others were rusty. Still we found three bikes that were perfect for a trip to Lido, so I consider this only a very small minor point.

Excellent ! Alessandro could not have been more helpful. Great location near to Venice, Breakfast was much better than the normal continental . Would definetly recommend it and would return again on our next trip to Venice.

Located in a quiet street in Lido this was a lovely hotel. The manager/proprietor was charming and went out of his way to make people feel at home. There was even space for my car, a rarity in Venice!

The door lock was old fashioned and I didnt feel it was terribly secure, also if you're tall like I am you may want to ask not to be put on the top floor, as some of the ceiing beams are rather low.

Thanks to the location, it's very quiet and peaceful. Wi-fi is fast and the signal is strong. Breakfast is delicious and the host is just adorable, I can't help smiling every time I remember him. Everything was very clean and things like air conditioning, lights were functioning properly. The room was beautiful and felt like Venice itself. Also: free bikes. Great stay for affordable price! Wouldn't miss it for the world :)

Well the bathroom might've been not exactly super-brand-new, but it was still very clean and functioning, so we had no problem with that at all.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome; asking for little extras was not a problem. The location was excellent: just a few minutes walk to the Vaporetta stop and the shops and resturants on the Lido. I would definitely recommend to others - in fact I already have.

A lounge area would have been helpful for resting during very wet days between outings. The breakfast tables are very small. But I am being picky.

Relaxed, quiet, good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Handy to vaporetto station. Reasonable prices. Would happily stay here again - Alessandro and staff made our stay very enjoyable.

The owner of this cosy villa on Lido, ALESSANDRO, is the best host possible. He works hard to bring the best service to his guests. Breakfasts by Alessandro are terrific! I wish him all success in his hard business of hospitality) Stay at Villa Casanova and you'll never regret it.

There are no towel hooks in the bathroom - this is the one and only problem there (not enough space for hanging bath towels for three people in the triple room)

A very homely hotel and the owner made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was by far the best we had on our trip to Italy. A very good variety and coffee to die for. Very good place to stay and close to the water boat to venice. Was locely to return in the evening and get away from the madness of the venice tourist. Would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Beautiful room, amazing breakfast and wonderful friendly staff. Loved it!
