+++Perfect Stay, Very nice and bright Room in a Fantastic Typical House. Excellent Staff. Very Good Breakfast (Wonderful Coffees!). Lido is a quiet Island and it was nice to go back to this Hotel in the evening, after visiting Venice or the Islands around. We would rate this Hotel 9.5/10. Breakfast Room not bright enough and full quite quickly. We felt a bit claustrophobic. We had the infortune to have a room above us with guests coming back at 3am in the morning and being very noisy. This has nothing to do with the Hotel, but just with some unrespectful guests.

Thanks to the location, it's very quiet and peaceful. Wi-fi is fast and the signal is strong. Breakfast is delicious and the host is just adorable, I can't help smiling every time I remember him. Everything was very clean and things like air conditioning, lights were functioning properly. The room was beautiful and felt like Venice itself. Also: free bikes. Great stay for affordable price! Wouldn't miss it for the world :) Well the bathroom might've been not exactly super-brand-new, but it was still very clean and functioning, so we had no problem with that at all.

Exceptional service & breakfast (remember to try the pastries). Easy 3min walk to waterbus where every 10mins there's transfer to San Marco. We chose this hotel because we could take the car with us.

Villa Casanova is a great place. We decided to booked based on Booking reputation but we were not sure if Lido would be a good option for visiting Venezia. But finally Villa Casanova was a great place to stay. The people in the front desk was very kind and helpful. We met Marina, and she was really nice to recomed us how to move around Venezia and where to eat in Lido. Additionally Lido is a fantastic middle point between a peacefull place for eat & rest, very calm in autum, and the caos of people in Venezia. We were just a few minutes in Vaporetto to Piazza San Marco. The room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was very good. No, everything was perfect.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome; asking for little extras was not a problem. The location was excellent: just a few minutes walk to the Vaporetta stop and the shops and resturants on the Lido. I would definitely recommend to others - in fact I already have. A lounge area would have been helpful for resting during very wet days between outings. The breakfast tables are very small. But I am being picky.

Wonderful helpful staff, quiet location, small, intimate hotel. Close to restaurants and vaporetto stop Poor insulation in flooring meant we could hear people above walking around room. They were up until after 2a.m. And every time they moved, it rattled our ceiling chandelier. When we spoke to mgmt, they apologized and did not place anyone in that room during our last night. Also, would have been nice to have a small living room area for guests to relax in the evening after dinner. One doesn't want to go back to the hotel room where there is only a bed and no place to enjoy a glass of wine and perhaps meet the other guests.

Great breakfast! Really nice people. Offered bicycles and umbrellas for free. Quiet neighborhood. Nice patio area. We stayed in a small attic room. No window, only a skylight. Was small and not comfortable. Bed was 2 twin mattresses in a queen frame. Lido is about 35 minutes by boat into main city. So some travel time involved.

It is very nice, clean and quite place, where to stay if you visiting Venice. Close to Lido S.M.E. vaporetto station (5 min. Walk) and only 10 min. To San Marco by vaporetto which leaves very often, even in night time. Easy reachable from airport. Marina and Alessandro are very welcoming and you really feel like staying at friends house. Breakfast is great and you can get real italian caffe in the morning. Good place where to come back :)

The owner of this cosy villa on Lido, ALESSANDRO, is the best host possible. He works hard to bring the best service to his guests. Breakfasts by Alessandro are terrific! I wish him all success in his hard business of hospitality) Stay at Villa Casanova and you'll never regret it. There are no towel hooks in the bathroom - this is the one and only problem there (not enough space for hanging bath towels for three people in the triple room)

Fantastic Villa,Excellent Loacation..On arrival they greeted us ,explained what was to do in the area,1st class information.couldnt do enough for you,the villa was very quiet ( you could have heared a pin drop at night) very peaceful!,the breakfasts were self serve all fresh and plenty of it..lots to see and do in the fantastic town 2min walk away, the beach is something else,5min walk, like a scene from miami beach!fantastico! The water taxis are 5min walk, you can get to anywhere in Venice from here. All I can say it was a very memorable stay at the villa Casanova,so helpful, never will be forget,Thank you to hosts Marina & Alexandro.. If you had something to complain about the Villa Casonova you would have to have something wrong with you...theres nothing to complain about? And even if there was they are the sort of people that would correct it straightaway.....you would have to go a long way to try and match the service and hospitality of this villa..

A very homely hotel and the owner made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was by far the best we had on our trip to Italy. A very good variety and coffee to die for. Very good place to stay and close to the water boat to venice. Was locely to return in the evening and get away from the madness of the venice tourist. Would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

The staff were really kind and helpful and the room was always spotless. They cleaned it everyday and gave us clean towels whenever we wanted. The breakfasts were lovely. No tea and coffee making facilities in room. Bath too small. No comfy chairs in room.(I'm sure if we'd asked they'd have helped, as they were particularly nice and spoke good English)

Very friendly staff, very delicious brekfast, clean room, and very reasonable price Illumination of room (As there was no switch of the main light, when we turned off the main light, we had to pull a card and turn off all lights and powers together or we had to pull a plug of the main light). And we could not watch any english channel on TV.

If you're looking for a cosy and familiar place to stay, and don't mind (or even prefer, as we did) not being in Venice itself, look no further. Villa Casanova is located on the island of Lido, which means that you're on firm land, you've got a beach nearby, you've got all the conveniences (shops, banks, restaurants...), and it's quiet. The villa is just a 5 mins walk from Lido's main street and from the boat stop, and there are boats to Venice every 10 or 20 mins, 24/24h. It's a very nice villa, with warm and cosy rooms. Everything's clean and we felt as if we were staying at a friend's place. The latter is mostly due to Alessandro, a most gracious host, whose phone #s are posted for his guests to call him whenever they need something.

Alessandro is a lovely guy who went out of his way to help us. Breakfasts were simple but nice and just enough. The room was very nice and had a lot of character, the bathroom was nice and the shower was hot and powerful. He even let us use 2 of the 6 or 7 bikes that are at the back of the hotel to go for a ride round the Lido on our last day, while keeping our bags in reception. He gave us the key and just told us to drop them back later in the day. The only minor inconvenience is that it is a 15 min boat ride into Venice, but that is only minor as the boats are every 15 mins and its a lovely ride.

“We liked the modern design, cleanliness, easy to find location, and very good breakfasts. Going out for dinner was simple as the main area for restaurants was only a 5 minute walk away. All in all we liked the contrast of staying on the Lido with the 10 minute boat ride to the main sights of Venice. ” Anne, Spott, Dunbar, |
