Alesondro and Flor were so helpful and friendly. We were taking a class on the Lido. They provided bicycles free of charge and the breakfasts were delicious each morning. Afternoon tea was available everyday as well. Great location to the water taxi stop and the Main Street.
Liked all of it.
Good place, good price, good breakfast. Nothing to say more than will come back here.
Room was big and comfortable. Staff and the owner alessandro were so warm n friendly. Breakfast was fantastic wth wide variety of freshly baked pastries. The free for use bicycles added a nice touch to our stay. Surpassed our expectations!
Location of hotel was easy to get to on the water busses. Easy to go to restaurants. We loved riding the bicycles around the island that they had. Breakfast was really good and our room was beautiful with a 4 poster bed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Alessandro knows how to run a great place on Lido It was great to get out of the San Marco area with all the people. We'd stay here again. Grazie to Villa Casanova!
Quiet location close to Vaperetto Friendly reception Great breakfast Lovely room Lovely to have free bike loan to cycle around Lido
Loved Lido, found Venice overcrowded with tourists! Just how many people can you squeeze on a Vaporetto!
Great hotel. Beautiful rooms with loads of space - great service. The hotel is very comfy with no fuss at all - easy access from the boat - close to hight street and restaraunts. Very friendly staff who have all the info you will need for Venice. Bikes avail to use also - Wifi no problem
Nothing to dislike
Villa Casanova has a great location on the Lido island. Close to shops, restaurants and beaches and only 5 minutes to walk to the boats for Venice. The staff were very friendly and service minded. Breakfast in the garden was very cozy and everything tasted fantastic.
Very close to water bus stops. Quiet room on the top floor. Delicious breakfast buffet... Love the custard filled heart shape donuts!! Great host.. Friendly and helpful. Access to tea making facilities in kitchen area.
No view from top rooms as skylight window but not really a problem.
Easy access to boats, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and clean accommodation. Very relaxing, Could not fault anything. Have been 3 times to this hotel and would book this hotel on my next visit.
Allesandro was a fabulous host. Set on a little side street 5 minutes from the water bus stop, Villa Casanova was a great place for us to relax on Lido after a cruise. From booking to check out Allesandro was great and it was like we stayed with a friend. We would highly recommend this hotel. Close to the restaurants on the main street, easy walking to the beach (take the beach umbrella Allesandro offers). Great breakfast in the garden.
That we couldn't stay longer !!
The breakfast was excellent. Short walk from vaporetto stop, lovely way to arrive in Venice. Nice house set in it's own grounds.
Our triple room was quite small and the third bed not suitable for an adult. Should have been advertised as a child's bed.
Lovely property with accommodating staff. Bikes at your disposal and hints for our day trips. Great yard to relax in after the bustle of Venice and so convenient to water taxis, ferry and the Lido experience.
That we had to leave.
In a peaceful spot only a short walk from the shops, bars and water bus to Venice and the other islands. The beach is also within walking distance. The villa was spotlessly clean and staff extremely friendly and helpful. The twin bedroom we stayed in was quite spacious with air con, TV and mini fridge. The bathroom was equipped with an over bath shower and hair dryer. Linen was changed every day if needed and the continental breakfast was sufficient for us with a small but varied selection to choose from.
There were no facilities to make hot drinks during the day/evening although if the owner was there he kindly offered coffee's at no cost. My only other comment would be that the bed and pillows were rather firm for me but that of course is a personal preference.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Casanova. We arrived late on our first night but staff were friendly and welcoming. The location was excellent and as well as enjoying the sights and shopping in Venice we also enjoyed a swim at the local Lido beach. Breakfast was fresh and the coffee excellent.
General atmosphere, nice people, helpful.
It would have been good to have tea and coffee available in the room.
The owner was very friendly and made a lot of effort preparing good breakfasts and lovely coffee. The hotel is close to the beach.
The hotel definitely requires a major facelift. It does not even have a proper reception area and all formalities are dealt with at the back of the corridor. We were very disappointed with our room. It was located next to the main entrance (with no soundproofing) so we were kept awake by people returning to the hotel late night. The room was shabby and a bit smelly when we first entered (we had to open the windows immediately), the furniture was old and outdated but the bath must have been even older because the bottom of it was completely grey. The shower was broken and we had to hold a shower head in our hands to shower. The fridge was not working. Also, what we did not realise while making a reservation, was that the hotel is located on an island with the only access by boat which we found inconvenient - it obviously increased the cost of our holiday.
- Everything there is nice (location, villa, breakfast, coffees), a plus for the owner and his entire staff. We really appreciate our time spent there.
Helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.
Alessandro made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Room was spotless and cleaned every day. Breakfast was superb. Location 5 minutes from pier. Garden was perfect to sit and relax with a beer!
Only stayed 3 nights!!
Lovely accommodation. Hosts very helpful. Great coffee. Lovely people.
Everything was perfect! Really nice personal, comfortable room, great breakfast and coffie, easy to go by car! Beautiful garden! We loved it and will come again!
We really enjoyed having the use of the bikes. The lady who greeted us was so gracious and helpful. Great place to get away from the crowds of Venice. Easy to get to from the ferry.
Friendliness of the staff is great. Alessandro takes great care of everything. Very good located, close to the Vaporetto-station.
Rooms in the groundfloor are noisy. No foreign TV-channels (but 200 italian ones ;o)
