Area information
For centuries, Tuscany has been a magnet for travellers, artists and poets who have succumbed to the charms of Tuscan living.
Villa Cassia is located on the southern edge of Pratomagno National Park and the eastern edge of Chianti wine growing area. It is also in close proximity to Ponte Buriano, the backdrop used by Leonardo da Vinci in his famous 'Mona Lisa'.
Within the area you can choose from a number of vineyards, where you can enjoy a wine and olive oil tasting tour with lunch.
Siena and Florence are only 40 minutes away by car The nearest town is Arezzo, which has many appealing features, including one of the oldest and largest antique markets in Italy on the first weekend of every month, as well as shops and restaurants. In Montavarchi there is also a monthly food market selling many specialities of the region. The famous designer outlet mall is only 30 minutes away.
After a busy day, recover and relax at the natural thermal water spa, only 40 minutes from the hotel.
