Sandra was very welcoming and I felt relaxed as soon as I entered the family run hotel. Beautiful reception area and my bedroom was lovely. I felt very much at home with my own key. Perfect location to get into Venice - 10-15 minutes drive away and apparently the bus stop is around the corner and again it only takes around 15 minutes to get to the centre of Venice. Villa Crispi is perfect if you have your own lunch and dinner arrangements and just want to rest before wandering out again. Nice continental breakfast and great cappuccino! It is not a criticism of Villa Crispi - I think this applies to all continental hotels with TVs, it would be great to have an English speaking channel and not just a news channel!

The ambience was lovely. We felt like we were staying in our own small villa. The rooms were beautiful. The owner was very helpful, polite and friendly. Highly recommended for honeymooners. The breakfast though fresh and delicious can be made a bit heartier.

Tidy and pleasant room, not cluttered, but enough decoration that we felt quite comfortable and at home. It's so handy to Venice, and very easy to get there and back, we felt we could easily make the trip each day and enjoy the ease of staying in Mestre. The pillows were not very good quality, and the air conditioning didn't seem to be working well. We were a little cold. But really, they weren't worth commenting on to the staff during our stay - just very minor issues!

This is a b&b you will love. Very quite district. Delicate and clean rooms, very nice owners. Typical Italian breakfast served in the patio that I love. Easy to come around in the neighborhood. Bus and train close for going to all in Venice. Small nice pubs close. Overall a place you will come back to. And for me an importent thing, it's allowed with dogs. I thank you for having me as your guest. I allready miss you.

Quite a pretty room in a large, interestingly furnished house. Comfortable bed. Short bus ride to Venice or to Mestre station for connections. There was rarely any staff in the house. We were admitted by the cleaner who didn't speak English and saw no other people in the house for hours. Reception staff were there for brief periods only in am and pm and we had to contact a phone no if problems. On first night guests with a baby and a booking had to bang on the front door for ages until we opened, helped them find the key for the only remaining room and gave them our local area map. Next morning, no one appeared to serve breakfast, which was included, and we had to leave at 8.10 for a train. Subsequent mornings, we had a sparse breakfast. Couldn't have use of an iron.

Good location, nice atmosphere! Unfortunately, when I reached the hotel first day, it was over booking and I couldn't stay. I was very disappointed, because hotel's staff said so coldly, and I had to move to another hotel. It was so shabby and I felt unhappy. But next day after I return back to Villa Crispi, it was really comfortable!

It came as a surprise as I chose it because everything was full. What a marvelous surprise. In a very quiet garden, sophisticated interior design with old furniture, extremely clean and comfortable. A nice restaurant nearby. 10 min from the RR station by bus or tram. Of course Mestre is from far not as romantic as Venice itself but the charm of the hotel is a good compensation.

I enjoyed the English-speaking manager and her ability to relate well to her guests. The continental breakfast was quite good. The neighborhood was quiet. The villa was clean. The air conditioning was tied to the key card, so the key card had to be left 'plugged in' for the the ac to work. But that in turn kept the bathroom light on! Also the "queen bed" was really twin beds moved together.

Carla the manager was very helpful with all requests. As a B&B it was clean and provided a cheaper alternative than staying in Venice proper.

the staff were excellent. could not do enough to help. ease of access to internet. room was dated. we arrived about 2 oclock - no one but the cleaner around ...she gave us a key without documenting our arrival...seemed a bit strange... we found the room a bit worn....we were on the ground floor with car parking right next to our window.. could ot open window because of mosquitos. bathroom skirting around door frame hanging off. no towels in room when we arrived... found mestre to have nothing of interest...only used as a stop off to venice.

I liked being outside the tourist centre of Venice but still being close enough to go in every day with no hassle. Ville Crispi was very comfortable and I would definately recommend it. There was very seldom staff around if you needed anything. There was no staff there on arrival so we had to ring somebody - not all phones work abroad.

Good location in quiet residential area providing easy access both to Venice (20 minutes by bus with stop less than a minute away) and centre of Mestre with good value restaurants and shops. Spacious well-provided room with large bathroom. Sunny garden terrace area. Car-parking if required. Adequate breakfast. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Taxi to Marco Polo airport for 25 Euros on request . Problem with wash basin which had sprung a leak; reported following morning and fixed by time of return that evening.

“Hotel Cris is within walking distance of Venezia Mestre railway station, which made it convenient for us. Staff explained about how to catch a bus into Venice and that worked out well.
