This is a quintessential family owned (4th or 5th generation) inn. The facilities have all been updated and well maintained. The inn is furnished primarily with furniture from the early 20th century (not the mattresses, those are new) -- Biedermeier, art nouveau with some 1940s lighting. For a design buff it was so much fun.
The common/breakfast rooms are comfortable, charming and eclectic. The breakfast was plentiful. I found myself wish we were staying longer as I want more time to hang out there and see more sights around the small town (we were hiking. la Via degli Dei).
Lovely apartment in quiet Bivigliano. Our host was very flexible and welcoming on check-in. She provided us with valuable information on the local restaurants and left us some food and drinks that we enjoyed after a long day of hiking. The apartment has an authentic old fashioned Italan feel but has all the comfort and amenities you would expect. Also a refreshingly cool place to stay on a hot day.
A lovely little spot right in the centre of Bivigliano. We arrived here somewhat early and soaked as hikers on the Via Degli Dei and were very swiftly met by the very friendly hostess of the apartment. The place was clean and cosy and had everything you needed. A restaurant and breakfast cafe is virtually next door, so very suitable for hikers.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff. Our room was exactly as advertised. It was quite unique style, simultaneously modern and traditional and we really liked it. Everything was brand new. We stayed in a separate building that was super close to the main building. The hotel has 2 pools, where the main pool is an infinity pool.
In the heart of Bivigliano above the main restaurant. Clean and comfortable - pay the extra and get your own bathroom if you can. Do expect the sounds from the restaurant below to carry to your room at night so perhaps retire to bed later than normal if you can.
Great property, great host, great location. Our family visited Florence, Siena and Pisa and came home to Bivigliano. Bea is a star host. Enjoyed the mountain view with the old city Florence, door to duomo, in 30 minutes.
Sfeervol, rustiek. Je waant je in “grand hotel Europe” van Ilja Pfeiffer.
A traditional way of stay. Could have been 1921 as well, but with latest luxure as well.
