Agriturismo Villa Pane

Great service, rooms very clean, staff very friendly.

Food very expensive, access impossible unless you had a very small car. Staff had to collect/deliver us each time to/from local parking area, but very willing so not such a problem!

The staff was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. They had a shuttle service that went to town and a pick up spot in town. Very relaxing spot. We walked to town which took probably 20-25 minutes downhill. Not a problem. It was fun to meet other people from different countries.

It was difficult to find at night. I should have called John Luigie before we arrived. he left a message on our home phone. My mistake. They were doing road work which presented a problem with the luggage. John Luigie was more than happy to help out with this inconvenience. He had no idea that this was going to take place...it is Italy!

The Villa and surroundimg area was beautiful. The shuttle service was very convenient as were the parking facilities making travel into the town centre simple. The town centre parking was so convenient. The bar prices at the Villa were very competitive and the locally produced limoncello and prosecco was excellent and so cheap.

Without a car or use of the shuttle service thE location would be a little far from the centre. The hills were steep so anyone with mobility issues would struggle without the shuttle. The dogs and chickens were a bit noisy but that kind of added to the authenticity and charm of the place!

The hotel is located up a 300 yard road that is too narrow for anything other than a very small car (our Fiat Punto was too wide!). The hotel provide a taxi service so this isn't a problm but you should be aware. There was a bit of a mosquito problem for me (40+ bites in 2 nights) but this could have been bad luck. Probably worth taking some insect repellent if you're going to stay there. Generally a very lovely, family run hotel.

The friendly management and staff cannot do enough to help. The views are to die for, it takes in most of the Bay of Naples. Home cooked food, cooked by the owner herself - you feel like family. The other guests were from all over and everybody jelled. It was the only holiday that I have taken where I switched off my mobile phone, and I'm self employed. All in all we had a wonderful time.

Transport from the train station could be better arranged.

Hotel is situated somewhat remotely, however this is offset by the owners willingness to transport you to sorrento centre and back on a regular shuttle service also accommodating special times.

Our stay at Villa Pane was absolutely perfect. We originally planned to stay four nights, but stayed an extra night because we could not get enough of Anna-Maria and Gianluigi's wonderful cooking and hospitality. Every meal served is made only with the best ingredients from their own garden which they will happily give you a tour of. The free shuttle service into and from Sorrento is great, but you can also take a nice 15min walk down through the olive groves and lemon groves (highly recommended). If you don't have family in Italy I guarentee you that you will leave Villa Pane feeling like you do.

We loved the Villa Pane. Its not down town (shuttle) in fact its a climb up the hillside but its rural feel was so relaxing and the people were incredibly accomodating. When we arrived they met us in town and escorted us to the villa. The villa itself is a little rustic but surrounded by fruit trees and gardens and has a view of the ocean from the balconies.The food was outstanding .... go there to relax.

We couldn't find this very hard to reach hotel until very late at night but staff collected us and car, fed us and re arranged the double into a twin. Staff very helpful when we complained about Luke warm water for tea/coffee at breakfast. Great location on hill overlooking Sorrento for £50 per twin B&B with little pool and beds.

Extremely hard to find by car and steep lane is almost impossible to get through even in a Fiat 500 though staff did drive it up for us. I wouldn't even have tried it.

This was an exceptionally comfortable villa set in beautiful grounds about 3km from the centre of Sorrento. My room was very well-appointed, quiet and with very effective air-conditioning. There was a small swimming pool and 'solarium' which I had to myself and in which it was possible to relax shaded by orange trees and listening to the birdsong. Quite magical.

Other reviewers have mentioned the difficulties of finding and accessing the villa. It is only accessible along one of the numerous narrow lanes winding around 'suburban' Sorrento, difficult to find and too narrow to drive along in all but the smallest cars. The beauty and peacefulness of the setting more than compensates for this though and the owners provide a regular free shuttle service to and from the centre of Sorrento. Whilst the owners Anna-Maria and son Luigi were friendly, professional and helpful they were just too busy to be able to offer that special sense of having all the time in the world for their guests. Though the evening meal was very good, I was slightly miffed at being billed for a full meal, in spite of having just one course with wine.

My husband and I recently stayed at Villa Pane with our three adult daughters (24, 22, 20). We stayed for three nights after being on a cruise for a week and when it was time to leave we wished we could stay for another few days. The location in the hills above Sorrento is relaxing and the view is gorgeous. Our hosts, Anna Maria and her son Luigi, were so welcoming and couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy. Anna Maria is an amazing chef. The food was so good that 2 of the three nights we ate at the resort instead of eating in town. Luigi was very helpful with our luggage and getting us to where we needed to be for sightseeing excursions as we didn't have a car. I would definitely go back to Villa Pane the next time I'm in the area. Guido the resident Golden Retriever made the stay there even better as we missed our dog while away on vacation. If you're looking for great food, great location and really nice people, book a stay at Villa Pane to enjoy the beautiful Sorrento area and the local cuisine!

Villa Pane is a very cozy, family-run structure, on top on the hill covered with lemon trees. They have a beautiful garden, a terrace with an amazing sea view, a friendly dog who greets you once you get out of the car. It's almost in the countryside, with all its ups and downs: great nature and fresh air on the one hand, but long distance from the town and cock singing at 5 am on the other :) I would reccomend it for a calm relaxing vacation, or for a romantic holiday. Make sure you try their homemade limoncello (after doing it I decided to buy a bottle) and orange and mandarine jam.

As other travellers have already said, the main downside is that it is so far from the centre of the town. So probably for young people looking for nights out and fun this place is not the best bet, also because the majority of guests we met there were people over-50.

La situation géographique, ville de Sorrento côté amalfitaine, accès au port pour la visite des îles. L'accueil très cordiale et la propreté.

L accès difficile à la villa pane, car la route est très étroite, 300 m de côte à pied surtout le jour du départ avec les bagages... Un dîner au menu unique, le prix équivalent à celui d un restaurant local.

La posizione sopra il golfo è meravigliosa, si gode di grande tranquillità a cinque minuti dal centro di Sorrento. Le camere sono accoglienti e arredate con gusto. Andreas (52) und Petra (50),Thüringen: Unser Zimmer war perfekt, wie gebucht. Die Besitzerin Maria und ihr Sohn waren sehr zuvorkommend und sind auf alle unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Die Villa Pane liegt schon etwas entfernt vom Ort, man sollte mobil sein, wenn man unabhängig von den Shuttlebus - Fahrzeiten sein will. Der Shuttlebus der Eigentümmer fährt aber sehr oft und man wird auch mal zu Extra - Fahrzeiten in den Ort gefahren. Ausnahmen waren immer möglich. Das Essen war sehr gut, jeder Frühstückswunsch wird erfüllt, das Frühstück war im Buchungspreis enthalten und sehr vielseitig, es gab alles reichlich. Auch das übrige Personal war sehr freundlich. Wie es mit der Verständigung geklappt hätte, wenn man kein Italienisch und kein Englisch sprechen kann, können wir nicht sagen, es ist auf jeden Fall vorteilhaft, sich in Englisch verständigen zu können, um sich - ohne Missverständnisse - verständlich machen zu können. Für Ausflüge zur Amalfiküste, nach Capri, zum Vesuv usw. bestens geeignet. Baden, insbesondere mit Strandumfeld ist eher sehr begrenzt.

Absolut perfektes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, wir haben es nicht bereut!

La posizione situata in un buon punto panoramico e tranquillo

La stanza che mi è stata data, dopo una prenotazione anticipata di mesi, mi sono trovato a dover dormire con una sola finestrella di 70x20 centimetri, un lucernario oscurato e chiuso che amplificava il rumore della pioggia.

Die Besitzerfamilie ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Frühstück mit Produkten aus der eigenen Landwirtschaft. Der Garten und die Aussicht ist sehr schön, wir hatten einen sehr großen Balkon auf dem man abends die Stimmung genießen konnte.

Das Hotel liegt ca. 2,5 km oberhalb von Sorrent, zu weit (weil zu steil) um zu gehen. Es gibt aber Shuttle oder man kann mit dem Auto in der Stadt auf einem hoteleigenen Parkplatz gratis parken. Die letzten 300m zum Hotel sind nur mit einem kleinen Auto gut zu fahren, sonst muss man sich holen lassen -- hat bei uns gut geklappt.

Struttura elegante e accogliente. Staff disponibile e sorridente. Ottimo cibo. Vista sul golfo e ambiente incantevoli.

Accesso difficile per le macchine. Da specificare la larghezza dell'ultimo passaggio.

Ein kleines Familienhotel auf den Bergen von Sorrento. Alles sieht sehr idylisch aus - fast wie in einem wellnesshotel. Das Essen ist von Maria selbst gemacht, die meisten Zutaten stammen aus dem eigenen Garten. Die Athmosphäre ist einfach friedlich und sehr entspannt. Man wird immer authentisch mit Namen begrüßt und jeder Wunsch wird einem von den Lippen abgelesen. Diese Familie führt das Hotel mit Herz und ich als Gast konnte das jede Sekunde spüren.

Der Weg zur Villa ist etwas beschwerlich, jedoch wird man nach Anruf auch immer abgeholt oder nach unten gebracht.

Trovo che Villa Pane Resort rappresenti un perfetto connubio tra un agriturismo, un albergo ed un bed and breakfast, uno staff gentile e disponibile, una struttura piacevole e ben tenuta, un'ottima cucina casalinga e come dimenticare la silenziosa e piacevole compagnia di Guido, lo splendido Golden? della familglia. Da provare, tornerò sicuramente!

Non per alcuna colpa della proprietà, vorrei solo dare un consiglio: Quando vi dicono di lasciare la macchina nella piazza poco piu in giu della Villa, dategli retta... La strada riporta fedelmente tutte le tipicità della collina sorrentina...
