Set in a truly peaceful spot of the Venice Lagoon, Villa Casanova wishes to make your vacation relaxing and simply unforgettable, staying in a completely refurbished villa of the 1930s.
Score from 278 reviews Wonderful
The Ausonia & Hungaria is in a building featuring modern or Art Nouveau decor and a façade with majolica tiles. It is 270 yards from the beach and a 5-minute walk from the Vaporetto water bus stop.
Score from 381 reviews Very good
Santa Margherita Guest House offers bright, air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TV. Located in the lively area of Campo Santa Margherita, St. Mark's Square is a 15-minute walk away.
Score from 180 reviews Wonderful
Hotel La Calcina is in the Zattere area, one of the most picturesque in Venice. It offers views of the Giudecca canal, elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi, and a restaurant open to the public.
Score from 319 reviews Very good
The very friendly happy staff, who were always willing to help.
No where to sit in the sunshine- garden was shaded.
the general character of the place was good
No light suitable for reading in bed
Loved the location of this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Our room was very nice on the attic level.
Bed was a bit thin compared to other stays we had in Europe.
As expected, Wonderful hotel in a marvellous location. Halfway across Lido between Beach and Boats. Also good location for shops and restaurants. Excellent, Friendly, Knowledgeable, Multilingual staff.
No kettle in room.
The hotel is in a delightfully quite suburb with tree-lined streets; less than 10 minutes' walk from the Lido Vaporetto/Alilaguna stop and very near to the main shopping street with lots of cafes/bars and restaurants. Breakfast was better than I had been led to expect from most reviews of Venice hotels.
We had our windows open at night and had problems with mosquito/midge bites; apart from that.nothing.
Loved the hotel. Located on Lido a short boat trip away from the hussle in Venice and a 5 minute walk from the boat station. Staff were super friendly and willing to help. Rooms were excellent. Spacious, clean and well presented.
Wifi didn't reach our room.
Rooms were spacious and decorated with style. Being close to Lido beach. Being amongst Italians on holiday. Took the vaporetto, which meant we saw Grand Canal and islands.
Everything was good. Breakfast could be more various. Great location, modern rooms.
Location was good as close to beach, town centre and water bus terminal.
Hotel rooms were a bit shabby in places. Cleaning of rooms perfunctory and seemed rushed. We didn't feel the format of hotel was welcoming. Not one tv channel available in English and the rooms were expensive for what we got.
We book the hotel that afternoon, staff was amazing in helping us with a late checking. Place is nice and comfortable. Highly recommend. Thank you for a great stay.
Quiet hotel with personalized service. Excellent breakfast. Clean rooms with good air conditioning. Close to the vaporetto stop, main boulevard, and many restaurants, yet it is located in a quiet neighborhood.
Good spacious rooms for family.
Quiet location close to Venice and the beach Breakfast buffet Great staf
Beds and pillows not soft enough
The retreat fro m the city at the end of the day was lovely.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect as it was close to the water bus but not on the main road. The garden was a lovely added bonus!
I would have preferred to have some more English speaking TV channels and a guide to tell you which channel number these could be found on. The daily supplement breakfast was very expensive versus other hotels in Italy.
I thought breakfast of €12 pp was expensive , cheaper to go to local cafe
Good location. Modern. Clean. Helpful friendly staff.
The friendly staff who were so helpful. Good location with easy access to the water buses and a 2 minute walk to the beach. Beautiful restaurants within walking distance.
Location was the perfect hub to get to anywhere in the Venice area from the Lido.
The hotel was good value-for-money in comparison to other hotels at the same price on the Lido. It's on a quiet street on the Lido, but the vaporetto stop is less than a 5 minute walk away and takes you straight to Venice, the airport and the surrounding islands for a day trip. There is a good supermarket on the same street and lots of reasonably-priced restaurants a few minutes walk away, which was great for keeping food costs down. The hotel itself was clean, with a modern but friendly design, and our room had good air conditioning, fairly strong Wifi signal and a strong shower. It was a delight to come back to after a long day out. We opted for the €12 breakfast, which suited us fine (cakes, juice, breads, hams, cheese, pastries, cereals, hard-boiled eggs). It might not be worth it for some people as there wasn't a hot, cooked option, but for us it was worth it to have a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. Staff were friendly, helpful and caring. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again if returning to Venice.
Air-con was broken one night but the staff were very apologetic and allowed us to take water from the mini-bar for free to help make up for it.
All the staff in reception are very nice and helpful ! Very convenient place, nice and quiet area. Definitely will stay again when visit Venice - fully recommended !
Lovely location, nice to get away from the hustle & bustle of Venice but close enough to be convenient. Hotel situated in a quiet road. Very friendly staff and spotlessy clean. Dinner at Favourita restaurant is a must.
Modern & clean Very friendly and helpful staff Quiet location
Limited choice of breakfast Had to ask for the A/C to be turned on
Good location and pretty clean facilities. Pretty nice sized room for the price. The front desk was very accommodating whenever we needed help. Good spot if you want to stay away from the crowds in the actual city of venice. Close to the water bus station so you are only a ride away from the San Marco stop.
It was a little noisy. The footfalls of other guests could be heard from time to time. The wi-fi was fairly weak and there were some points where I had to move to the other room to pick up a signal.
Perfect for a relaxing stay away from the crowds in touristy Venice but a short vaporetto ride from all the action. Clean, comfortable, tranquil decor. Staff is extremely helpful, speak English and provide good guidance to travelers. Having stayed in several much more expensive hotels in Venice, I would pick Villa Pannonia again over those for the delightful location and staff. We were in Lido in mid-April when the weather was most comfortable and the summer crowds were absent.
