The pool and location. I could not pick anything wrong with it. We had stayed 6 nights in an terrible villa in Castellammere del golfo and this hotel saved our holiday.

L'Hotel, un po' difficile da trovare, risulta però una piacevole sorpresa. Ottimo il servizio e molto curati I particolari delle rifiniture e dell' arredamento. Dalla camera avevamo una incredibile vista dell'Etna. Molto buono anche il ristorante

Comodissimo per poter effettuare escursioni nella zona dell'etna e su tutta la costa di taormina - ottimo per le escursioni sino a modica , marina di modica e ragusa - Ottima organizzazione dell'albergo e grande disponibilità dello staff verso la clientela Qualche rumore di troppo durante le feste che vengono organizzate la domenica sera ma niete di particolarmente importante . Le stanze sono molto insonorizzate

Goede, maar waarschijnlijk niet de enige uitvalsbasis voor bezoek aan de Etna. De tweede avond was er een soort feest waarop mensen uit de buurt waren uitgenodigd evenals de hotelgasten, die dan ook nog een gratis drankje kregen. Dit hotel is vergane glorie en duidelijk aan een opknapbeurt toe. Er zijn twee liften waarvan één duidelijk niet meer gebruikt wordt, aangezien er langs alle kanten klimop rond zit (deed me denken aan Jurassic Park, maar dan zonder dino's). Dit hotel was het eerste van 5 tijdens deze vakantie in Sicilië (vnl. Eolische eilanden) en het was dan ook even schrikken toen de man achter de receptie met een afgestreken gezicht vertelde dat we helemaal geen reservatie bleken te hebben. In alle andere hotels waar we gereserveerd hebben via Booking.com was er nooit een probleem met de reservatie, het zou dus heel eigenaardig zijn als het probleem hier niet bij het hotel zelf ligt.

Das Hotel hat eine lange Vergangenheit. Es ist ein Relikt aus der Pionierzeit der klassischen Hotellerie der Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Einige Modernisierungen erlauben die Einordnung in die Kategorie der mittleren bis oberen Preisklasse. Wer diesen etwas antiquierten Stil mag, dem sei das Haus sehr empfohlen. Das Personal ist kompetent und hilfsbereit, die Küche offeriert leckere lokale Spezialitäten, der Frühstücksraum mit Blick auf den Aetna ist spektakulär.

Das Hotel ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Im Restaurant isst man gut. Das Personal an der Reception ist freundlich, kompetent und mehrsprachig. Das Hotel hat seine besten Tage sichtlich hinter sich, was zu kleinen Komfortmängeln führt (z.B. warme Dusche nicht immer möglich, klappernde Fensterläden, laute Heizung). Die Lage des Hotels ist wenig attraktiv und ohne Navigationsgerät schwer zu finden. VORSICHT DISCO! Das Hotel führt an Wochenenden eine Disco (für die Lokalbevölkerung) durch. Bis 3:00 Uhr KEIN SCHLAF möglich, das ganze Haus wackelt!
