Villa Ulivi is a remarkably beautiful and luxurious 15th century Florentine Villa located few minutes away from Florence's historic city centre, its main monuments and the shopping area.

The imposing building, characterized by the Italian Villa tradition while incorporating modern comforts, is set in a residential hilltop area that overlooks and is extremely close to the town’s attractions.

Access to down town Florence is easy by either a comfortable, scenic walk or a short bus ride down the famous Via Bolognese. Villa Ulivi also has partnerships with scooter and bicycle rental companies to meet all your travel needs.

The villa grounds are surrounded and beautified by magnificent vineyards and olive orchards, as well as an array of local flowers and blossoming trees. In spite of its central location, Villa Ulivi is immersed in a garden planted with fragrant roses and lavender, at the end of a shady lane flanked by horse chestnuts.

Villa Ulivi offers an authentic Tuscan experience and allows for a relaxing retreat from the hustle and bustle of the nearby city centre.

Villa Ulivi boasts furnishings chosen with an eclectic taste, both among Tuscan pieces of the 16th and 17th centuries and from the most heterogeneous styles, creating an atmosphere that is, at the same time, classical and particular.

You can also use a private chapel for romantic religious services and on request, the best chefs can delight you with a delicious private party.

Excellent wine and olive oil are produced at the Villa and the owners also organize cooking classes.

English and French are spoken.

Food & beverage

A rich breakfast, with Florentine bread, coffee, tea, juice and home-made cakes and jams, is served each morning in the Villa’s elegant lounges during the winter and on the outdoor terraces, beneath the pleasant shade of the luxuriant mimosa trees, during the summer.

Room information

Double and Triple Rooms at Villa Ulivi are spacious and comfortable, furnished with local antiques. The floors are covered with a beautiful, historic wood and walls are done with hand painted fresco designs. Each room features a private bathroom that is tiled with prestigious Italian marble and is equipped with a lavish tub or shower.

Every suite at Villa Ulivi is unique, just as it would have been with the original owners in the 15th century. Distinctive furniture sets and decorations in each room help to create a spectrum of Tuscan sights and atmospheres that is sure to please.

The residential area where Villa Ulivi is located is Piazza della Libertà (Liberty Square).

Villa Ulivi is located very close to Fortezza Da Basso (Saint John' s Fortress), the Exhibition Centre where Pitti Immagine Fashion Shows are held.

The location. It is described as a pleasent stroll into town , it is outside the Firenza border on a very busy road . It takes at least 30 mins to walk to town and is a long uphill walk back on a busy road. The room we were given had a tiny window about 50cm x 20 cm, the fittings were old , no paintings on wall or antique furniture as described. At night main house is locked up like a fortress.

Villa liegt im Grünen und trotzdem nahe Zentrum, die ehemals elegante Villa liegt wunderschön, ist aber leider ziemlich vernachlässigt

schlechter Service, Frühstück schlecht (auch für ital. Verhältnisse) mäßig sauber
