We are situated in the beautiful countryside surrounding Lucca, but within east access of the ancient city. Pisa, Siena and Florence are only a day trip away as well as the Versilia coast.

It was a lovely setting. We had a very nice room witha great view. We had rain the 2 days that we were there so it took a lot away from the beauty. It is very difficult to find from Lucca, especialy at night. We thought it was a lot closer to the town of Lucca and were disappointed that it was not. |

Beautiful situation in the hills above Lucca surounded by vineyards. A lovely sitting-room and charming rooms overlooking Lucca. Beautifully situated swimming-pool with chairs under the apple trees. Tempting to stay here all day and ignore Lucca! Staff were almost invisible - maybe a good thing but the receptionist was so laid back he could barely bring himself to greet us and only remembered our passport when we were leaving. Restaurant staff very slow. |

About 3 miles from the nearest village which is exactly what we wanted. Despite heavily discounted Booking,com price, it does not achieve four star ranking.Booking.com has better value hotels in the Lucca area. A good choice for those who seek peace and quiet at a unique and elevated location. Don't consider that a four star hotel should serve breakfast drinks from machines.Restaurant is operated independently from the hotel: Food/menu is good but the sevice is awful, in our case more than two hours for two courses having already waited 30 minutes for the menu(There is nowhere else nearby!!) |

Rustig en mooi gelegen. Wij hebben dit hotel bezocht in het najaar maar tijdens warme zomerdagen kan men zeker stedenbezoek afwisselen met een dag of meer rust aan het zwembad, ver van alle drukte en midden de mooie natuur. Het hotel beschikt over een aanbouw die uitgebaat wordt als restaurant doch echter onafhankelijk van het hotel. De hoteluitbater wist vooraf niet of 's avonds het restaurant al of niet open ging zijn. Het restaurant was van zeer goede kwaliteit maar ligt zo ver afgelegen van het centrum van Lucca (boven in de heuvels) dat het bijna uitsluitend nog afhankelijk is van de hotelgasten die niet altijd bereid zijn om dagelijks de toch niet goedkope prijs van het restaurant te betalen. De uitbater van het restaurant sloot dan ook van af nu (begin oktober) tot volgend seizoen. Gezien de afgelegen ligging van het hotel zou men toch de zekerheid moeten hebben ter plaatse 's avonds minstens een basismaaltijd te kunnen krijgen. |

la posizione è splendida e l'atmosfera degli interni ti fa sentire a casa, in una piacevole dimora arredata con gusto.Il personale discreto contribuisce a tale effetto. La piscina e il giardino in generale..un pò sotto tono per un quattro stelle così di charme..ci si aspetterebbe un esterno un pò più curato, ma nell'insieme, data anche la posizione,direi buono. |

L'hôtel et le site avec la piscine sont très agréables. Très belle étape. Le restaurant attenant est de qualité. Le prix payé par internet est correct. En revanche celui affiché dans la chambre n'est pas acceptable eu égard aux prestations (pas de baignoire, clim défisciente...) |

Det er intet mindre end fantastisk ! Et gammelt nonnekloster, der ligger i bjergene med den smukkeste udsigt sjæl og ro. Hyggeligt og gennemført indrettet med en fantastisk restaurant ! Vi kan kun anbefale det ! Stedet er svært at finde fordi GPS'en ikke kan finde ud af adressen. Postnummeret der står på bekræftelsen fra Bookings.com er ikke rigtig !. Postnummeret er under Lucca (55100). Måske endnu bedre skiltning mod stedet, hver gang vejen drejer. |

Fornøyd med oppeholdet på Villa Volpi. Likte roen og at hotell personalet jobbet meget diskret. Pratet engelsk godt og var service-innstilte hvis man trengte det. |

Vores ophold på Villa Volpi var en god kombination af afslapning og oplevelse. Værelset var hyggeligt og meget pænt rent og området med pool var lækkert samt restaurant i høj klasse. Omgivelser holdt pænt og det er et sted, hvor vi rigtigt kan slappe af med et venligt personale, som er behjælpelige, men ellers lader gæsterne passe sig selv. |

Decisamente splendida la posizione, con un magnifico panorama circostante. La piscina offre la vista più bella su una campagna incontaminata. Le camere sono confortevoli, anche se raccolte. Ottimo come punto di partenza per visitare Lucca e i dintorni. Nell'insieme romantico, rilassante e suggestivo. |

L'accueil était excellent, le séjour très bon, le cadre magnifique, l'hôtel très charmant, au calme et avec une très bonne situation, proche des grandes villes, de la mer et des sites à visiter (mais une voiture est nécessaire). Le personnel était très disponible et à l'écoute de nos demandes. |
