The relaxed atmosphere, the room was huge and the bed very comfortable. The swimming pool was amazing and I intend to go back as soon as i can
If I had one issue the coffee was poor but the breakfast was nice
We have stayed here many times and never tire of the stunning views. The hotel and grounds look better each time we return the place is so well looked after. The location is good, nice and quiet yet close to Lucca. Marco and Adriana are always helpful and do an amazing job of looking after the hotel and guests.
Location Ambience Views Setting Restaurant on site
Poor and slow breakfast service YOu cant charge retaurant to room as s separate business Staff in morning were a bit "slow"
we had a "suite" which consisted of floor 1 and floor 3. Floor 3 was the bedroom, where an elevator opened to and floor 1 was where the bathroom was located. floor 2 had a room whose (glazed)bathroom window opened to our room. Each day we were awakened by a lady singing "Volare" in her shower!
We had no cot for our baby on the first night after asking and the hotel promising there would be one when we arrived home. It took me half a day to find someone who I could get water from let alone food or drink when the restaurant was not open! The restaurant is NOT part of the hotel, so the restaurant do not seem obliged to be open everyday. The restaurant was closed on sunday, we had no car. So we had to survive on water, peanuts and olives for a day. Breakfast was 1.5 hours late opening one morning. the excuse was that it was sunday and they were tired! this meant no hot food and cold coffee for some reason! We made the hotel aware before we arrived that we had a 1.5yr old child and no car. They put us in a hotel room which was .5k away from the actual hotel and all of the facilities! we had to walk up the hill to get milk for our child and for all other meals. Crazy!
The restaurant served the nest food we had in Italy. The rooms were comfortable with windows that opened! Great pool chairs.
Why charge for pool towels? No umbrellas at the pool. Wifi only worked near reception.
This was a magic place - wish we could have stayed there much longer!
Loved it all
setting and pool
wifi was a bit iffy, otherwise no criticism
The location was the best part with beautiful views. Our room was lovely but thin walls between adjacent bathrooms! The restaurante was lovely but would have been nicer outside with a view. Can't fault the villa itself...pretty amazing.
Although it was in an amazing location it was a shame the meals were not outside. There was a terrace area I suppose we could have taken our breakfast to but it would have meant traipsing through the villa with it yourself. Also there was no facility to get extra eats in the afternoon as the restaurante was separate. However the owners did manage to russle us up some olives and crisps so thanks for that as we were very hungry on arrival.
Andrea (receptionist) made us feel very welcome and at home. Stunning views from the swimming pool. Easy 15-minute drive to free parking area to explore Lucca by foot.
Relatively expensive on-site restaurant, but we had a delicious meal all the same. Having to pay 5 euros every time you want to use a pool towel is rather ridiculous.
Location was good.
Everything that was advertised on the website was a lie for us....we got there expecting some confort....we were the only guests in the hotel, so there was no internet as promissed, no room service, the restaurant was closed even for breakfast...and they said breakfast was included...in the evening they closed the reception and left...we were isolated....wasnt fun at all....and when we asked the owner/manager he told us yes, its low season.....then we decided to leave after the first scary night! Dont recomend this hotel at all!
