Location (close to train and bus stations, to minimarket and other food stores), big size of the apartment with all conveniences working fine (kitchen equipment, washing machine, good mattresses, comfortable furniture, beautiful place - old church, nice views). The owner provided very good information on how to get to different places, how to get discounts at the beach (15 minutes walk down or 5 minutes ride up by bus). Meta is a small town with very friendly and supportive people.

Our stay at Villino Castellano Apartments was terrific from the beginning and was improving every day during our five days at beatiful Meta, a wonderful village near Sorrento where Italians live; we met few tourists. Luigi our host was very welcoming and we were invited to sit on the terrace of the roof whenever we wanted and watch the beautiful sunsets over the Golf of Naples. The apartment 40 square meters was splendid; clean, quiet, well equipped, comfortable and nice.I do recommend it of all my heart!

We were very happy to stay here. The quiet location (except the barking dogs elsewhere in the neighborhood) and the mountain and sea views from each window were very pleasing. Luigi, the owner, is a gracious and affable host. The high ceilings and big windows create a very open, cool and inviting home-from-home. We enjoyed hanging out on the roof patio and made use of the washing machines there. The train station is just a 5 or 10 minute walk. We took the Circumvesuviana train from Meta to Sorrento, Naples and Pompeii for sightseeing. We enjoyed cooking in, shopping sometimes at Rosaria's bakery just down the street and sometimes at the big supermarket in Sorrento. The hot water runs out quickly; we learned to take very conservative showers. The electricity is delicate. Luigi pointed out pitfalls to avoid, such as using both hot plates on high at the same time. Sometimes the rooms echoed very loudly, as there is very little cloth, no draperies or rugs, to absorb sound. Be aware that the old building does not have a lift, so be ready to climb the stairs.

Appartamento molto funzionale completo di tutto in un bel palazzetto antico. In posizione tranquilla e lontano dal caos ma vicino a tutti I servizi. A 5 minuti di scooter dal centtro di sorrento o a 200 metri dalla circumvesuviana che in 10 minuti ti porta al centro di sorrento.ottimo punto di partenza per un giro completo della penisola sorrentina
