Breakfast was the best! Fresh home baked goods (breads, muffins, cakes) and even eggs! Attention was paid to every detail in the bedrooms, and the breakfast room (table linens, china, silver...) Elena, the host, was delightful and offered great ideas for local day trips.
breakfast, ambience, warmth of owner
Everyone was extremely friendly, we were treated like part of the family. Would highly recommend the private Italian cooking class, well worth the money we spent, Elena and Paula are amazing.
A beautiful B&B - an imaginative and tastefully converted barn a few miles outside Parma. We had a warm welcome from the owner who lives with her family in an adjoining house. A delicious breakfast on the terrace.
Rooms are extremely clean, modern and bright with great design; the territory is very quiet and peaceful, the pool is saltwater without chlorine. The dogs and the cat that live there are very friendly and cute!

Villino di Porporano is a rare jewel. The Villa and all are welcoming, warm and friendly. This was our second year to begin our annual vacation with them. It's almost like being with family, a tradition with those you truly enjoy. My husband and I will always cherish the memories we have made here and look forward to many more.
Elena was a perfect hostess! She welcomed our family, helped us with reservations and taxis and even found an orthodontist to help our son in a pinch. The property is clean and just beautiful. It is easily accessible by taxi to Parma. We just loved it! We will go back! And, breakfast was terrific.
Very nice family-run hotel just outside of Parma. Beautifully restored barn with lush garden, big pool and fantastic breakfasts.
The most comfortable bed in a lovely room overlooking the beautiful garden. Elena the owner was very attentive and helpful and made good recommendations for places to eat for dinner. The breakfast was exceptional with homemade bread cakes and pastries all served on the garden terrace. Would definitely stay there again and will recommend to our friends
It is a great B&B to use as a base for nearby towns visiting. Thank you Helena for help with restaurant reservation and sightseeing suggestions.
Couldn't recommend it highly enough, will go back 100%!!!
Beautiful old restored barn !! Really stylish rooms and wonderful garden. Elena is very welcoming a lovely host, she recommended and booked us a lovely restaurant! Couldn't wish for a lovelier place to stay!! Would like to have stayed longer to enjoy it all!!!
No bars or places to eat within walking distance.
beautiful design and fantastic customer service from the owner
To begin with, the accommodations are extraordinarily beautiful and comfortable, elegant yet still home-like. Breakfast was sumptuous...everything homemade and just delicious. Our hostess, Elena, was extremely helpful with dinner recommendations and suggestions for a day trip. She could not have been kinder or more hospitable. Just perfect!
My husband and I just spent 3 nights at this beautiful bed and breakfast during our Honeymoon in Italy and everything thing about this place was wonderful! Our room was beautiful. The linens were beautiful and we loved everything about our room from the furniture to the claw foot soaking tub in our bedroom which we enjoyed every night! The breakfast each morning was wonderful with wonderful homemade pastries, fresh fruit and yogurt, eggs cooked to order and wonderful coffee and espresso! IT was all served on beautiful china in their dining room. The owners were so nice and spoke very good English and gave us excellent recommendations on local restaurants and things to do in the area. Elena also assisted in booking a rental car and her husband took my husband to pick it up. I will also add that Elena's husband even drove us to dinner our first night there to a place a short distance down the road and it was excellent. We spent 12 days in Italy and went to Rome and Venice but my husband and I both agree that our time spent in Parma was our favorite! Elena and Gisueppe and their wonderful staff gave us a honeymoon to remember and we will back soon! No matter what your reason for travel to Parma is, this bed and breakfast is 5 stars all around!
Adorable B&B. Friendly staff. Gorgeous rooms. Loved every minute
Location, room cleanliness, furniture
Nothing at all
They were very helpful in arranging a tour of a Parmesan cheese factory, where to see Balsamic vinegar made and suggested excellent places to eat. The location worked out well for visiting different cities in the area.
Beautifully and tastefully restored country villa setting. Caring hosts who could not be more delightful and helpful. Elena ensures that you have the best possible experience during your visit to the Parma area.
We loved our stay at Villino di Porporana. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by our hostess Elena. She guided us on where to eat, what to see and how to get to places with an excellent understanding of what we wanted. The breakfasts were all ways excellent and when persuaded to cook an evening meal for us and another couple it a truly memorable meal. As we were travelling by train though Italy we used the excellent buses and Taxis to travel around Parma - again it was no problem for Elena to help organise our transport even going as far as to take us to the Station on the day we left. Wonderful service! It was a treat to stay in her wonderful renovated hotel and garden. We will be back!
Everything! The warm welcome. The cleanliness. The beautiful house. The lovely park. The delicious breakfast - and the lovely linnen!!!!
Elena is the most wonderful, generous, helpful hostess. She went over and above her duties as an owner and we were really grateful. We were very tired, lost travelers and she sent her husband to guide us in to their place. (Road construction was a problem) He made dinner reservations for us at the wonderful Trattoria (Da Romeo)and they made sure that we had a somewhat english speaking waiter. Elena's eye for detail at the B&B is beautiful. Wonderful fresh breakfast every morning. Her staff is great. I can not say enough nice things about Villino di Porporano! I can not wait to go back!!
We stayed 3 nights at Villino Porporano, our lovely room on the 1st floor also had a sitting room with desk and good wifi access. The bed was large and comfortable with an excellent bathroom. Our hostess Elena is a very busy lady, always interested with where you have been and checking you are comfortable. There are lovely sitting areas and comfortable gardens seats. Our breakfast was delicious everything very fresh, extremely good omelets. It's in a village on quite a busy road, parking was opposite and quite safe. There were very good restaurants 10 minutes walk away. Very highly recommended.
